Is it possible to enable HDR mode by default, inspite of classic mode?
This last is disappointing, i use only HDR, but it's painful to enable HDR each use of camera.
I'm already root so it mauy be easier to change a line in es explorer for exemple i think. But don't find ths line.
Thanks for your help

Hi, the S7/S7Edge camera is good but the images are entirely over sharpened and generally lifeless. Just overdone.
Any way to tone down the sharpness, and use the old post processing of the S6?
Or is this not possible given it's a different sensor, etc?
I would love such a fix too. Any other camera app probably? RAW is one way to fix it but you can only edit RAW files stored on internal storage along with their jpegs in the same folder in Snapspeed. Otherwise Lightroom(which isn't available in my playstore) or photoshop is required.
RAW are also too big for general purpose photography at 23Mb per file
Right now only solution is to use PRO mod and RAW =( ....
Maybe camera app or port from S6 ?
and what about the video? Sometimes I have to shoot on the S7 because I just have it with me. The video really sucks in postprocessing because the oversharpening creates a whole lot of artifacts. Pro mode isn´t really an option and there is is no setting to turn down sharpness in any way.
If there is a mod for the bitrate, why isnt´t it possible to patch the sharpen value?
I found that using HDR on reduces sharpen in AUTO mode .... Also HDR on Auto gives diferent results...
I think that MOD is possible ... only to find right person
Hello,
been using the P20 for a few days now and it's great but I'm not sure how to get the best out of the camera. Been having it with AI on and 20Mp but a lot of the pictures seem overexposed.
If anyone could enlighten me that'd be great.
Thanks

Hello!
I disabled the AI, it oversaturates colors and the contrast and sharpness are too high for my taste. Shooting in photo mode without the AI gets me pretty good results, I then edit my shots in Lightroom CC, it's a free app, try it if you haven't already If you have the feeling that your shots are overexposed you can always focus on a bright part of your scene and the phone will adjust the exposure accordingly.
For best results you want to be shooting in pro mode and better yet enable the RAW format. It's more work to edit those RAW photos but you do get the best quality!
Have fun with your phone
I also turned off the AI. If you want to have more control you can use RAW
Thanks for the replies! I'll try out RAW mode and Lightroom CC and disable the AI. I guess there would be a great change of quality if I went from 20 MP 4:3 to 18:9 as it's only 8MP?
I did some photos today and i must say that there are few iritating things in our phones software.
One of the is HDR mode wich is hidden ant we cant usue it in auto mode
Hello.
I'm using p40 pro, on emui 11.0.0.151
So I'm planning to use the p40 pro to shoot a youtube video of myself. As I'm working alone (camera on a tripod), I want to mirror the camera to an external display (pc monitor) to view what the camera sees.
Problem is, no matter what I do, the mirror preview will always display in portrait orientation (I'm sitting sideways in the monitor). Most of the other apps work fine with landscape orientation, but not the native camera app. I tried some orientation control apks on google play, but none of them work properly. I tried to use a thrid party camera apps, but all I tried can't really make full use of the camera (like no 4k 60fps). Tried desktop mode on the external display, but can't find the native camera app in the desktop.
Googled around, but no luck. Is there any way I can enable landscape orientation preview with native camera app? Without rooting or custom rom.
Thank you.
Halo,
I'm trying to use the U-Wide camera of the P40 pro in my app.
i used both camera2 and camera kit (huawei camera engine) and in both i couldn't retrieve the U-Wide or set the High res camera option
is there any way to acheive this ?
using CameraKit, in the Bokeh mode, i was able to retrieve the U-Wide but the background is blurry so kind of useless for me ..
any help would be so precious ,
thank you,
Hello,
I can't find the bokeh mode when taking a standart or 108mp photo.
This now basic option does not exist on such a high-end photo-oriented device?
it should be under portrait mode in the camera, or else with the sensor size use manual focus and it'll give a nice bokeh effect
Thanks, i don't find.
