S4 wallet case - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

I've been trying to find a good wallet case for my s4. Has anyone had any luck with one that doesn't add too much bulk but still adequately protects the phone? Tia and pictures are appreciated!

I bought two of these (brown & black). I don't think it specified whether they were intended to replace the battery cover but my phone fits better in them when I remove the battery cover.

I bought the Gmyle one from Amazon for $0.99 + ship, but apparently, they raised the price by a buck.

Overall, I like it. I like the crease in the back, so you can use it as a stand. It's not perfect (depending on how many credit cards you have in the wallet), but since I use the phone as a bedside clock, it's convenient.
The fake leather itself is more of a matte finish than the one posted above.
The 3 credit card slots have rounded ends, so they're probably a bit more durable than ones where the slit goes straight across to the edge. There's about enough room for 5-7 credit cards and some bills, but not much more.
Overall, not bad. Power and volume buttons are still reasonably easy to push if you need them. Button holds pretty tight. Edges will fray after awhile. I'm sure this is the case with real leather as well, but I'm guessing real leather will last a bit longer.

Did CaseCrown move to real leather recently? They still say "durable synthetic leather" on their site. Looks like a really great case for $35 for real leather.

I have a fake leather wallet case and I have the case crown leather wallet. Case crowns smells so good and feels amazing, the leather texture is very high quality.. The other one feels more plastic with no smell at all, here are some shots of the case.

Trident Extended battery case

Just thought i would post and let everyone know about trident cases new Electra case for the sgs4g.
http://www.tridentcase.com/product_54_118.html
Has anyone here owned one of these? I actually quite like the look of that
I havent owned one yet, im probably gonna pick one up next weekend. It actually doesnt look much diff than other cases...i couldnt even tell that it was an extended battery case
large lip
I took a look at this case and decided that it wasn't a good fit for me. If you take a look at the pics you can see a substantial lip on the edges of the screen. I had another case with my old 3gs that had less of a lip than this case and I hated it.
It really makes it hard to click letters, numbers or anything else that is relatively close to the edge of the screen.
There is another case by this manufacturer that looks like it has a very minimal edge lip and I plan on getting it when I can afford it. Too bad this isn't a extended batery case
It is the Trident Aegis Series case. XDA would not allow me to post a link to it.
the link for the aegis case is
http://tridentcase.com/product_54_79.html
and the link for the aegis myskin (interchangable skin)
http://tridentcase.com/product_54_103.html
looks a little bulky but i might consider it for the extra battery life.
Yea it looks a lil bulky but its kinda got the otter box look to it and u can't really tell it has an extended battery.im all for trading size for protection...I've dropped my phone alot and it has plenty of dings on it
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
There is a seller on eBay (moretalktime) who sells custom TPU cases for a lot of phones including the galaxy s 4g with the extended battery.
Ive had the trident cyclops which is basically the same thing without the battery. It has excellent protection but the built in screen protector sucks and is extremely Glare-y (if thats a word lol) also the lip designed to protect the phone when it falls interferes with the screen when typing. I used it for about a week then switched back to my good ol' Otterbox Commuter case.
---------- Post added at 11:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:02 PM ----------
Oh yeah and yes it does add a lot of weight + thickness.

[DEAL][SKIN][REVIEW] Stealth Armor

I just thought I would link this up for you all. Skin for the back & screen protector. if you use promo code "HPFIRESALE" you get $15 off of each one you order. I ordered 2 for $40 + shipping. I will follow up once I receive mine. http://www.stealtharmor.com/store/touchpad/
Update 9/15
So, I received my Stealth Armor order yesterday. This is definitely not just some sticker you are putting on the device. It is made from a tough 3M vinyl material. Definitely good for protection The back cover took about 20 minutes to install only because it was just a pain to get lined up decent. Once it got lined up and looking good, I took a blow dryer and waved it back and forth along the edges and corners and smoothed off with my hands. If you don't do this you will have wrinkles on the corners.
This also came with a nice screen protector a well. This was a lot quicker and easier to install. I must warn you though, the material is a little soft. Don't use too much force when moving it around on the screen or it may stretch a little bit. That happened to mine just a tiny bit on one edge. My girlfriend's came out perfect though. Since you are applying this like you do auto tint, the screen will be hazy for a couple days.
I bought this to use with either a sleeve or folio type case to travel with. This is great for when holding the tablet because it gives that grip that the shiny slippery plastic doesn't. I am now not so worrisome about scratches etc when laying the device down.
I would order one of these!! How think does it make the TP? How much weight does it add?? Can you post pictures?

Has anyone tried the LG bumper case?

http://m.ebay.com/itm/111799492041?varId=410789114876&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2648&_mwBanner=1

I read somewhere that it's just plastic.
Confirm the bumper is plastic, and just polished to look like metal bumper.
Who would think that's metal? It's freaking plastic
my favorite case hands down
I've had bumper cases for almost all my Android phones. But I've been going "naked" on the V10 as it appears to be designed to take somewhat more beating that most phones (I typically drop my phone like once a year). I did notice this LG OEM bumper case BUT it says it's for the F600 whereas I have the US H901. Does anyone know if there's an actual fit difference? Are any of the ports blocked? Thanks in advance.

OK, you convinced me. Ordered one from it's Korean homeland. Hopefully all the port cut-outs are in the same place!
Received the OEM bumper case. Fit is perfect, no worries about regional variants. Quality of plastics and coloring matches very well with the V10. Corners and sides are well protected.
However, the side rails of the bumper are just as slick as the steel rails of the V10, so there's no added grip. The front face is raised so the screen is protected but I have a Yootech hardened glass protector on top already. The worst thing is the back bumper is only raised at the bottom, so when flipped over the whole phone is resting on the bottom bumper and the camera lens! That's probably not much worse than originally but I expected better of an OEM bumper case. The port cut-outs are very accurate but the case seems "thicker" than other bumper cases I have used so you have to be more aware of how things plug in and possible microphone blockage.
Overall I would NOT recommend buying this bumper case, unfortunately there don't appear to be many alternatives.

Better than Obliq?
Used this bumper case since release and i haven't took it off once. Only thing is the bottom where the charger connects can be at times difficult.Hard to plug in other chargers. i ended up taking a gold piece off the bottom and it works perfect. The *plastic case* has taken all the damage but i rather damage the case then my actual phone. Works if you have a wireless charging battery cover/nfc. It doesn't look bad at all, and its not bulky. recommended
You don't want it if you have a second battery and swap batteries a lot. I've had 3 of them and all broke at one corner eventually. Longest one lasted was 2 months, others made it maybe a month. After the first broke I was very easy on the others but it didn't matter. The plastic eventually gets a stress crack and as soon as that appears it will be broke soon.
I notice they are a lot cheaper than when I bought them around when the phone came out. For $20 worth a shot, it was a cool case just garbage for what I paid. They were over $40 a piece.

Yeah, I get the feeling this case isn't good for regular removal. My old bumper case for the Note 3 was all silicon/rubber material and came off very easily. This one has hard plastic parts that seem very fragile from the first use.

Which is very disappointing, i don't like cases but after the first fall of this phone leaving an ugly dent i got a generic bumper with clear plastic on the back - it's ugly and would rather spend the $20 or so on the OEM case... but i swap batteries occasionally too...

Review- Poetic Affinity clear case came in..

Got my Poetic Affinity clear case a few days ago and so far I am loving it. The material is durable and the design looks sweet, finally a strong clear case. The volume and power buttons are easy to access and feel good to press. My favorite thing about this case is the rubber material around the front lip make it easy to grab. The power slot and head phone jack are all easy to get to as well and lined up well. I am coming from a diztronic case to this which I loved but the Poetic Affinity clear case is a tad bit bulkier but better protects your phone. I plan to keep this as a daily I just hope it does not turn yellow like most clear cases after a while of use.
GREAT job to the creators......
Tony,
I have the affinity case as well and I love it with my bamboo backing. Do you have a car mount that you use for this case that you recommend? Has anyone used a pro-clip universal mount with this case?
Good Review. The Poetic ppl are very nice. And they make a great case. Can't beat a clear case, built in bumper, not too bulky AT ALL. If I had to pick one negative, its the scratches on the plastic. It's not super visible but somewhat noticeable. All in all, its my favorite case rn

My only concern with certain clear cases is the discoloration that they get over time from dirt and dark clothing. Are the ridges down the back and the edges a silicone-rubber material?

My Incipio case has turned yellow/brownish after about a month and a half of use, do you know of a method to clean them?
I'm also considering switching over to this one, as the back is clear and has ridges for better grip.
How does this case compare to the ice uag case wish they made it for this phone and which one looks better in person the clear and black or all clear?

Best case with a stand?

Hey,
Whats the best recommendation for a nice feeling case that also has a stand? Ive seen Spigen tough armour but it looks a bit blocky
Samsung rugged cover. Many people are opting for the rugged cover over their usual favorites. @ $40 it is pricey but worth it.
Reminds me of a deck chair though. I adored it on note 8 then they did all them weird lines on the back
Those lines really aren't as bad in person as they seem in photos. They actually make the case quite easy to grip in hand.

They're subtle in hand. Look aggressive in pics.
Samsung's rugged case is my absolute favorite! To me, it even helps with one-handed reachability! Highly recommended!
I like this one from Samsung:

I'm afraid all the cases with a stand I've foud will add some bulk.

I personally use spigen tough armour. May look blocky but good protection and build in kick stand help to overcome that problem. Let's just hope they will release slim armour soon like for last few years...
I returned the Spigen Tough Armor, and kept the Samsung.
The stand on the Spigen has the volume buttons on the bottom, so you can't change the volume when using the stand with them.
The Samsung can be placed either way, and even in portrait mode.
OEM case hands down, best they released so far.

Umm, tough armor can be placed either way too. Don't know how you came to the conclusion it can't. I was kind of skeptical of the OEM Samsung case being in the middle but OLED reflectivity made that a non issue. I used my V20 in my tough armor case mostly and the offset stand came in handy depending on chair and if I slouched or not. Being offset made it user adjustable basically.
It can but I don't see why most people would want such a shallow angle. I've owned Slim Armor cases for at least half a dozen of my phones and I've never once used the stand like that.

It's all relative. I bought 9 cases for my Note 9 totaling well over 150 dollars in the past year trying to find the right one. I'd rather spend 40 on one case and never have to worry about it again. It's not cheap, but I've not seen one better in stores.

The tough armor packs the kickstand on the bottom right side of the phone while looking at it. If you were to try to use the kickstand with the volume buttons facing up the phone is laying nearly flat lol.

Yes. Good position if you're sitting at a desk and looking down as if you were reading.
I ordered this as it was really cheap, just 8.99. It's called the Orzero TPU + PC Hybrid Dual Layer Case, and I love it! The ring in back rotates so if can prop up the phone in both directions although landscape is pretty shallow. It doubles as a device to allow for one-handed operation by sticking a finger through the ring, freeing up the thumb to wander anywhere without worrying about dropping your phone. Downside: made of metal, can't use wireless charger with it on. I use it when I leave home and am not going to charge wirelessly anyways. I bought another case with no stand for when I'm at home.
Edit: Photo won't upload! ?
