Improvement to the gingerIceJelly RC2 to Galaxy Y Duos GT-6102b - General Questions and Answers

Hello guys.
I'm already using the GIJ RC2 version (4.2) and I think it slow, but still better than the original 2.3.6.
I noticed that the app ICS Keyboard occupies 40MB in memory.
Also miss Swype.
The background transparent screen also very disruptive, text messages are garbled ...
Any update planned?
Thank you.

I dumped the ics keyboard and used a pro jellybean from gijv1. Its more customisable
But it still does not support swipe

Sms widget for andriod??

Hi devs,
I'm just wondering if any of devs can make a sms widget that we can use in android which is in win 6.5.
Like the usage of the widget in win 6.5. The letters are coming like falling from top and bottom of the screen .
Cant find a suitable widget for android.
Can any of devs make that widget????

In win 6.5 there's a home screen widget for sms...you can see your sms by that widget and when u want to see the next and the previous message,u move it up and down so the next or previous message came like the letters falling down and up ... On andriod i cant find a homescreen widget like that, i'm not talking about popups...
I'm using messaging widget atm, and it's pretty good. Try using it.

So here's the question.....
Can we adapt it to andriod with changing the codes using eclipse ?
Or do we ve to build it from the begining ?

[REQ] [APP] ICS Contacts for Gingerbread

Hello,
I really like the stock ICS Contacts application and although I love CM9, I feel that without the hardware decoding then GB roms will be better. So I'm wondering if anyone could port the stock ICS contacts app for Gingerbread etc?
Thanks.

Even if someone could just create an SMS app similar with the same appearance like the Gallery ICS and Camera ICS available in the Play Store.

There are already clone sms app. Its called ICS messages, but don't know about the quality. I stopped using it after first sms because it can't process special characters and accented letters into gsm mode.

Nope. Only ICS SMS only.

[Q] SMS editing space is too small

ICS 4.04 on OpenSense 9.23 w/Tamcore kernel
Seems no matter what ROM I try, the editing space on the ICS default SMS app is very small.
Especially hard for big fingers to navigate.
Is there anyway to change this or perhaps there is a better app available?
Try another sms app like whatsapp or gosms

Which version plz?
The only one Nexus 4 has, 4.2...
Looks good...Runs pretty smooth on my galaxy nexus. Kinda looks like a hybrid of stock and apex.

Yes it was derivated from AOSP Launcher with all this addition and a lot of tweaks
You added all those features by yourself or what? It looks too much like Apex, just with names, and some icons changed...
Primo, Apex and Nova r all derivated and share the same initial code from AOSP launcher... Lots of the features are inspirited by Nova, Apex and Go Lanchers. Also Primo Launcher got all their paid features for free.

Agreed.
I didn't see any major performances issues when I compared the three of them side by side. Granted, I'm using them on my S3. Still, I really like the fact that the features which should be paid for in Nova and Apex are free here. :good:
Launcher crashes on my galaxy nexus running 4.2. It won't even open.
Am I dumb or can't I find die launcher options?!
any Screenshot ?
