Q: why one of my phone can connected to my WIFI router but the other one can not?
what problem it would be? the router did not refuse UNKNOWN mac in setting.
can any one help me?

Maybe your router is configured for a wifi mode that is supported by one of the phones and not the other ?
Wifi N for instance ? Or 5GHz band ?
Or it could be ip conflict (google)

Hi,
I have a problem with the wifi on my Samsung Galaxy S2 after I changed some settings on my home router. The wifi works anywhere else, just not at home.
What I changed was the router ip and wireless channel. Since then I have cleared all the wireless and browser settings in the phone and reverted back to the old settings on the router. Still doesn't work.
I've also tried having static IP. It doesn't work as well. It's only the internet. It connects to the router fine and I haven't had any problems with other gadgets and computers connecting.
Your tried turning on airplane mode for a few then reboot?
Your router doesn't have a sync button does it?

One thing you can do is delete the connection to your router on your phone, and connect again with new password from router. Do you have any other device beside your phone connecting to this router? If no, you need to test it. If yes and not connecting check the connection security, like wpa or wpa2. If all fail, reset router. This mean you will need to reconfigure your router. Check manual for more on your router.

Just tried this and it didn't work.
My router is a cheap basic router that came from my internet provider. No such thing on it.

I've already reset anything wifi related on my phone. It hasn't worked.
Do you have something else that you can connect to wifi to see if the problem is your router?

Not in my home no. But like I said in the OP, the wifi on my phone works fine in other houses and hotspots. It's most definitely some kind of communication problem between my router and phone only but I'm not familiar enough with routers to know the problem and I haven't stumbled on anyone else on google having the same problem.
Two laptops, one Win7 and one OsX, are connected. Unfortunately I'm new in the area I live in and my girlfriend doesn't have a smartphone so I haven't been able to test if it's just my phone or just android or iPhones in general.
I can't think of a logical reason why it's like this
Maybe router is configured with wifi 802.11n and the galaxy only runs on b/g ?
If you're using WPA/WPA2 security, check that the
router is set to use AES encryption.
If you think you did your best. Its better to buy a new router then. )

I didn't change any of that. It's got a WEP encryption only as well.
i have a problem with my htc onesv after i updated it to JB. it cannot connect to internet using WIFI. it can connect to my router and im sure that my router si working but i dont know the reason why i cannot connect to internet using my htc onesv. does anybody have similar problem? please help.. ty..
Could you check advanced settings on WiFi and see if it says anything in IP Address box, also are you on stock ROM?
You could also log into the router and see if it displays the connection etc.
Is your mobile rooted?
And have you any MAC-Filters on your router where you have to add the MAC Address of the phone?

yes i am on stock ROM. on IP address box it shows this IP 192.168.10.101
and on my router it shows that i am connected. i dont know if it matters but it says that i am connected in power saving mode while my laptop is connected with power saving off.

Nope! my mobile is not rooted..
htc sent me some troubleshooting tips but non of it worked.

MAC filter on my router is disabled. by the way, i tried to connect on my neighbors wifi also and on hotspots on malls. still cant connect to the internet. i never touch any settings on this unit since i am only using this as a secondary phone.

I have an Xperia L over 1 month and have not had any problems with wifi, I connect to all networks!
I have xperia more than a month and founded that its unable to connect to my friends wifi. But far no problem with connecting to other network.
I think its unable to connect maybe due to old modem ? His modem has around 6 years.

Yes he can as he connected his new tablet to his wifi. I have no idea why I'm unable to connect.

This might sound stupid but I have no idea how did XL connect to my friends wifi. I asked him did he do anything to his wifi and he said no but he haved to connect everything again as the was drop of electricity at our city and after that I think it does work. Maybe you should power off everything in your home and power it one for a period of like 2 seconds ?

I am from India and I purchased Huawei Ascend Mate 7 32GB 3GB Gold version from one of the seller in olx. the phone seems all right but WiFi and Bluetooth are not working. ( I noticed after 3-4 days as I don't use both )
the Phone is showing Both MAC address and Bluetooth Address but it is not detecting any Bluetooth device or WiFi router at all. I tried my home router, Mifi hotspot but still no detection.

Can you tell me your country and exactly what issue you are facing. as I can see Wifi MAC address and bluetooth address in about phone can you find your MAC address?

Please install wifi repair apk through usb cable to cell and run it then it will fix issues i did same

My wifi wont turn on...
Whenever I turn it on,it will turn of back after a few seconds...
My Bluetooth was working perfectly...
Mac address stated as unavailable...

Hey guys im rooted and im using wps connect many wifi is being hacked by me but some routers are not visible in wps connect app while same router is visible in settings>>wifi. Why some wifi not visible ? Any possible solution for this ? &what could be the reason behind this ? Pls help ......

WPS connect only with wps wifi connection and even for me it show some signals only -_-
Wt is special other wfi's i want to know the speciality of that hiding wifi signals in wos connect . Pls let me know about that.
