[Q] Streaming audio to home stereo via HDMI. - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is this possible with the TF101? If I buy a receiver with HDMI inputs can I stream just audio from, say, my Rhapsody app on the TF101 to the stereo? I think I should be but was just wondering if anyone had any experience or issues doing this? Thanks.

Yes, this should work as it's just like passing A/V through, but in this case, just Audio.
You could test this before buying a receiver. Just try playing audio through the TF101 over HDMI to your TV.

[Q] Stream video to projector from g tablet

I was wondering if anyone has a way to stream video to a projector via a g tablet? I don't have a dock yet but am interested in sending video such as a powerpoint or the current screen to a projector using either bluetooth or wifi.
Thanks,
Ed

I was able to get the HDMI from the dock to a M1-DA to HDMI converter (http://homeavcables.com/m1hdmi-mf.html). Picture quality was good (good enough for a nearly 10 year old projector with limited lumens) for using with powerpoint. I did a limited test with a video (both streamed from my network and and on the gtablet) that was fine. Not sure if the audio came through but I could test that again (I have some Cambridge SoundWorks small cube speaker and subwoofer that connects via headphone jack that works pretty well. Speakers on LP70 are marginal at best).
Again YMMV, but since this is a "digital" projector, perhaps that is where I had success. https://portal.infocus.com/support/Product Pages/overview.aspx?mic=LP70&on=overview

Bluetooth HDMI receiver?

I'm looking for an accessory that may or may not exist or he possible bit if anyone knows it would be you guys. Basically instead of buying a whole Bluetooth speaker system I'm looking for something to let me use my already existing speakers which are just directly plugged into my TV via Bluetooth to listen to music from my phone. My first thought was of some sort of HDMI device that acted as a Bluetooth stereo receiver but I'm not sure xD. Love for some input on the matter.

Micro HDMI installed, no sound

Video looks great, but there is no audio. How come? I am playing it through the stock Google media player.
Use mx player or bs player lite, it might be an codec issue.

That didn't work. Anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried rebooting your tab, TV, and re-seating the cable on both ends? I've had to do this before to get audio to work.
So it doesn't work going through my audio receiver, but works fine hooked directly to the TV.
I had this problem. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and all was well. Don't know why duo's.

Hey tuffluck,
Just wanted to say I also had this issue with mine. I have stock tf300t on .30 and a LG tv hooked to my Sony 5.1 Home Theater System. It doesnt play through the reciever if the video is not 5.1 encoded. It only plays through tv in stereo. The only fix i have found for me is to either set the reciever to regular stereo not 5.1, or on my Sony system it has a 3.5mm aux in jack on the front and if plugged in to the tf's audio jack it will play through reciever fine. Granted it defeats the purpose of HDMI handling audio and video but its a workaround.

Wireless display option?

Just got a microhdmi adapter and plugged it into the tv, freakin awesome.
Wondering if there is a way to have the infinity stream video and sound wirelessly to a tv?

Lots of solutions out there for this, called whdi. You just need a micro-hdmi to female hdmi:
http://www.amazon.com/eForCity-GOLD-HDMI-Type-Adapter/dp/B004I4YPB4
and a solution like these:
http://www.reelseo.com/wireless-home-digital-interface/
They actually work pretty well if you get the right whdi product.
