Hi, I just got this tablet and it's working great.
Thanks for your files, I've used some of them to work on the tablet.
Do you know how this fastboot.exe is modded to work with the p78hd ?
Because I couln't find any info on the proprietary bootloader Allwinner is using on the A31. And I'm kind of amazed it support fastboot, but would like to port it to linux.
Yesterday I managed to kind of port the a10hd twrp recovery, there is a lot more to do, and it would help to use fastboot to boot the recovery without using a Windows machine. (Actually, I haven't tried the modded fastboot.exe yet, but I reinstalled a Windows yesterday on a computer lying around in order to use PhoenixSuite)

So lucky because i've searched many times why standard fastboot doesn't work, and with the PID, i found this wiki, and exe.

Ask for custom recovery for your device and we will try to compile/port the recovery of your choice.
NOTE: Upon requesting the recovery, you will need to provide your stock boot.img, your stock recovery.img and your build.prop file.

For mt65xx devices provide us the dumchar_info file, because in the some stock recoveries has standard mount partition like "[email protected]" and little and no clear information about your phone partitions. We need the complete mmcblk partition layout from your device.

Could you port recovery for TCL P561U ? I heard that TCL phones are indeed Alcatel phones (build.prop contains alcatel brand)?
File P561U_boot.zip contains backup from my phone (boot, recovery, build.prop). Looks like boot and recovery images are the same?
File boot.zip contains boot.img from different ROM for this phone.

This is a Ported twrp v_3.0.2 beta1 for -TCL_P561U
I don't have device in hand ,so........
The firmware update process is done entirely at your own risk.

I installed supersu and currently am wiping dalvik + cache partition
when that finishes I'll upload a few screenshots
too bad I have to re-flash the stock recovery and the original system partition as I am planning to take this device to the service and although they didn't say I can't flash they might claim my problems are due to a bad rom
I don't know why but sometimes cleaning my cache takes some time, it's still formatting it.

You can pull the missing blobs/files from the stock ROM. Just use Superr's Kitchen to extract them. I contacted him and he has already added support for the chunk file extract for Lenovo.
Look at my github repo for the partition sizes or lookup the "Lenovo P2 is coming soon" thread for all partition information.
You actually don't need root to figure out the partition size.

I will fix the partition sizes but I'm not sure about blobs because they seem to be symlinked to firmware and persist partitions

As I said before, there are some files symlinked to other parts like firmware and persist.I can't pull them because I am not root.

I'm trying to install the zip but it gave a an error 7. Can I edit the updater-script and remove the first 2 rows or this can be a problem? I can also upload the files you are missing just tell me where can i find the msadp cause I can't find it..

I (also) need to wait for 10 days to get the OEM bootloader unlocked, after that i am glad to volunteer.

The rom doesn't boot. After the reboot from the recovery it goes into bootloader and if I force it to start after the lenovo logo the screen became black with a blue led and the phone vibrates for 3 sec.

That''s because the TWRP i build was made specifically for zip files containing the proper "ro.build.product=" like stock zip files and stock OTA files do. Allowing TWRP to be compatible with those files and prefenting "not so advanced" users from installing the wrong ROM.

No! Everything that is in persist is actually just calibration data. Its called persist to "persist" between reboots.
Everything placed there comes from system.
For those files look in:
/system/etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
/system/etc/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv_lenovo.bin
./system/etc/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_wlan_dictionary_lenovo.dat
just rename them properly for a bring-up.

Then I should change device name to p2a42 what about using msm8916 graphics blobs?

Just change/add the assert information properly. Like this:

if you like to add more simply seperate them by a ","
msm8916 works for up to the same generation like (msm8939)
but i don't know about generation change like msm8953 is.

[ROOT] Samsung galaxy J2 Prime - G532G (G532GDXU1APL1)

Hi
I created root method for the last version of samsung J2 Prime G532G - G532GDXU1APL1.
It based on modified stock recovery with custom keys (mine), which allow to install a special zip that signed with those keys.
This method include's a patched boot.img (sepolicy), in order the root work properly. (this is normal system root - not systemless, and from Android 6.0 or samsung 5.1.1 and above need also pathed boot)
The phone must be with G532GDXU1APL1 version, or it wont work.
It can be downloaded from here

Instructions:
Download this file, and extract it to some folder.
G532GDXU1APL1_root_by_avicohh
Open odin and flash the .tar file inside the folder (In AP).
This file contains the custom recovery, a patched boot, and an empty cache.img in order the phone will restart to recovery after flashing.
In recovery choose "Apply update from ADB".
Run the .bat script file from the "SuperSU sideload installer" folder.
Wait until it finish, the phone will restart automatically with SuperSU inside.

This method can be modified to another build / device, by patching the sepolicy inside boot.img (see here), and replacing the res / keys file inside the recovery.img with my keys. (Attached)
You can unpack and repack boot and recovery images with this tool. (It recomanded to this on linux in order to keep the files permissions)
The stock recovery doesn't support the standart SuperSU installer bacause it bash script, so i wrote another one in Edify. (this zip should work on any device with android 5.11 - 6.0.1 and armv7)

sometimes there is a messege in CMD that saying ADB out of date :/

I believe it something in your computer.

@avicohh WHY SUPERUSER CANNOT BE READ?

I my god it is now ask for password, and i have no z2x box to unlock it :/

So maybe @bolda.mia is wrong.
The reason the device ask for password is because the custom boot is based on G532GDXU1APL1 and you have a newer system version. (I think is something related to storage encryption, I don't know exactly)
That's why I said this method should work only on G532GDXU1APL1.
Anyway​, flash the stock version back. I believe it will fix the problem even without wipe.

i know exactly, that i already flashing with the lower rom such as pl1 pk3 etc. And the result is same, ask for password my brother!

A. Need I flash vbmeta?
In general, you don't need to do this. It is worth using this function if, after flashing, your phone refuses to update via the cloud. In some situations, this may solve your problem.
Note! You can only do this if your firmware archive contains vbmeta.img.

By default, the program flashes almost all partitions on the phone. This is fine for recovery, but there is too much redundancy for flashing custom ROMs.
SVB is a firmware method in which only 3 sections of System, Vendor, Boot are sewn. Hence the name)

the problem is my phone got stuck at android one logo and the bootloader is not unlocked.
and the only way of using my phone again is to use apply update from adb in recovery.But when i try to update a android 10 zip, it says upgrade timestamp should be higher than 16xxxxx something i dont know what to do.Can you give me an ideas

Where did you download update zip?

i dont think i remember.I downloaded lots of updates from different websites and tried everyone of them.But the same message was displayed as "timestamp is old"

Files in this thread are not for 'adb sideload' or recovery flashing. Please download any FullOta zip from this website and try to flash it by recovery : https://www.thecustomdroid.com/download-and-install-nokia-7-1-android-10-update-ota/
