Can someone tell me about the description of different modes in "no frills CPU control"...
For eg which option should i set in "governor" and "I/o schedulers" for the following types...
1.normal usage or default
2.battery saver
3.gaming mode (but not overclocked)
If someone can briefly explain..??
Plz help ...

Can someone help me make a script so my phone can startup on the max freq of 768 and on the smartass governor so I nolonger have to change the settings upon bootup. I'm sure others would like to do this as well so they no longer would have to use OC widget or Set cpu and switch the governor if they used smartass. If someone could help me that would be awesome.
Yea..how bout posting in the right section.

So I'm using miui and it's default setting is at 1.7ghz what's the best way to turn it down? Set cpu only works on one of the cores.
Is there a more effective app to handle this?

get system tuner from market, its my fav and has a ton of features you can ignore or use. never had a fc or anything
Hi Devs,
I am using a stock ROM for MMX A110 v1.11 with a SUVI launcher. No other modifications to the system. However, my problem is the battery keep draining faster..morning 06.00AM its at 100%, but around 01 PM, it comes down to 51 percent (in just 6 hours, 49% is already gone).
I am on GPRS (2G) most of the time and i noticed that the Facebook and TWitter app is taking up maximum battery.. so uninstalled them. Its a little better, but not as good as it was in with SUVI ROM V6. With Suvi v6, i was able to use FB, Twitter and other apps (with GPRS on all day), and the battery lasted for close to 2 days.
Somebody suggest something please..
Regards,
A
I have also stopped the Auto-Sync for background apps (so gmail, facebook, twitter, gtalk(hangouts), playstore)...so ideally, it should have improved battery..but it did very less difference..
first of all disable all auto sync, reduce display brightness, remove live-wallpaper if any, avoid non trusted launcher & very minimal shortcuts on your all desktop screens.. use Gemini task killer to kill the unwanted tasks & even u can set the no. of process running in background for each app.
And use black themed apps..
But i never seen my battery run for 24hrs continued.. how u got 2 days..

* off Wi-Fi
* Off Data Connection
* Reduce Brightness
* Reduce Screen Time Out
* Don't use Facebook, Yahoo! Mail, Outlook, YouTube, Twitter as application
Use that all thru browser (make bookmarks)
* Use black Theme as @rajju2
* Use black Wallpaper
after 24 Hrs. my battery remain 35 - 20%
try this..

Have been doing so already, except the black theme/wallpaper..
For facebook, i use ATRIUM, which doesnt run in the background..yes, i can avoid usage of twitter..
brightness/screen timeout is already lowest.
I use data connection for hardly 30 minutes in the entire day...
Let me try the dark theme/wallpaper as well..
If your phone is rooted , download a CPU tuner from play store and reduce your CPU speed

Today I tried to lower the CPU speed using "no frills CPU" and the battery has worked for 16 hours and I still has 55% left..good going..
As usual I have disabled WiFi/data..lowered brightness and screen timeout..not using fb/Twitter etc..

You might wanna try greenify app? It automatically disable apps when you're not using it.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions..I have tried all of the above..Two things seem to have given me extremely good battery. Now, i get atleast 38 hours with GPRS and Auto-Sync always ON.
Things i did:
lower the CPU speed using "no frills CPU" (as suggested by @samthechamp)
Used "greenify" as suggested by @click.here
My phone is awaking a lot.
My battery is very much draining.
Screenshots says alarm manager is culprit.
Sync is off all time.
Data on and off does not made any difference.
Only whatsapp running in background.
Kindly help I am getting mad.

dude install greenify from playstore & hibernate all un-needed apps
Thanks for your advice but i do not have any application running else whatspp.
As i told earlier it was problem of alarm manager.
But dont know how to work it out
dude install greenify & hibernate all the apps ....Even if an app isn't running in the background it periodically wakes to perform some task like whatsapp checking for new msg or playstore for update & so on...If u don't use alarms then in the settings disable alarm..
Don't forget to use greenify..
OK I will try and soon reply u soon

Hi friends...i need some help
I am on stock kernel & stock Odex Rom..
I have a rooted phone
When i try to set the cpu clock speed the settings are applied successfully but CPU does not work according to Max & Min frequencies set.
ex. If i set Max - 320 mhz & Min - 245 mhz after that settings are applied...when i check the CPU stats for last 5 Seconds..or current Clock speed its always more then the limits i have set.
It seems that my cpu is working independently...& i am unable to control its clock speed using NoFrills CPU control or any other app...i have tried all apps such as SetCpu, CPU tuner, etc..but theres no change in behaviour...i even tried the infinity Kernel but still no effect on my Cpu clock speed.
I have no control over it...it keeps on scaling independently...
I have a Galaxy Y ..i use Nofrills in that phone too ..it works perfectly....
Please help me to find a solution to this...
Plzz help..me...

strange cpu
SG Core cpu is strang , its wont be control by any cpu setting app. Clockspeed is stay at 1209mhz even we set at 1008mhz or lower with any cpu setting app. But we can configure governor and i/o scheduler as we need.
There is one thing, CPU CLOCKSPEED WILL DOWN ITSELF to 1008 then 700 mhz when device get hot and it wont be set to higher frequency. This cause lag when we play game even light game app like flappy bird.
I hope New Maclaw and his friend Marcin will fix this strange cpu clockspeed and provide us CM11 4.4.3 kitkat. They're great developer :good: You can see them post at samsung galaxy core general section.
Sorry for my bad english, im newbie...

Power save governor makes CPU run at lowest speed at all times making the phone very unresponsive and hard to handle.
