Hello and sorry for my bad English.
I have Windows 7 x64. Every time I connect my N8000 (and I9100 Galaxy S2) there's a "device plugged" sound, but nothing happens.
In Hardware menu in Windows N8000 is marked with yellow triangle.
So, I have to "delete" the device from OS and plug again. It installs drivers and everyrhing's O.K. till the next reboot.
Tried with both USB Debug turned on and off, no difference noticed.
What shall I do?

I know, silly response, but is your phone is USB debugging, and after you connect it via usb, do you manually mount the device from the notification menu?
Good Luck.

If you're using Windows 7, Windows may not be assigning a drive letter to the phone when you plug it in.
Is if this helps.
I had this similar problem today... I fixed it by uninstalling Kies/Drivers, re-installing drivers from the Samsung website, unplugging the Captivate, restarting it into Download Mode (Power + Volume Up & Down), and plugging back in the Captivate. Windows 7 said "Installing new drivers" (which it installed the USB ADB drivers), but said the device "could not start". I unplugged the phone, took out the battery, rebooted the phone, and plugged the phone back in. Windows 7 said again it was installing the drivers, this time with success. Yay!

I think you can flash using Odin One click. just try to reinstall samsung drivers anyway. or use the repair driver utility on kies. then try odin. don't give up :T
My friend switched off his phone so he will save battery in his skyrocket, then the phone looked like bricked which is weird. I've tryed to put it in download mode - nothing cwm - nothing, just silence, no vibration, no reaction w/e i've tryed to do. Is there a workaround so I won't have to turn on phone and i could flash rom? AFAIK he had installed CM9 and everything was fine. Weird thing tho. Is there anything that we can do? When i plugin phone to the pc with odin turned on (windows 7) says that the driver is not functioning although i have installed samsung usb drivers and i've connected galaxy note with ease... Then i installed another samsung usb driver somewhere in gs2 skyrocket board. Still no luck. Specifically error says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Hello! Im new here
The thing is that I bought a bricked OPO today hoping that I could fix it. I've been like 4-5hrs straight trying and nothing!
The real problem is that my OPO is not being recognized by my computer. (Im running Windows 8.1)
When I connect it to the PC the device vibrates but no sound, I go to device manager and it's not there (not as QHSUSB_BULK, not as UNKNOWN DEVICE, not as nothing, it just dont exist)
I installed the Samsung drivers, OnePlusRestoreTool, Bacon Root ToolKit, OnePlus One Toolkit and nothing seem to work...
I tried to get it into FastBoot mode but it ony vibrates every 10 consecutive seconds I hold the vol up + pwr button and NOTHING happen, screen remain black and no sound by my PC recognizing the device...
I tried alternate USB, alternate cable and nothing...
If you guys can help me that would be awesome!
Thanks, and sorry for my bad english.

First of all thanks for your reply.
I have seen this thread but as you can see to uninstall the old driver I need to:
' Go to Device Manager, right click on the bricked USB device (QHSUSB_BULK or Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008) and go to Properties, click on Driver, then select Uninstall. Check the box to remove driver files, if prompted...'
But the device is not seen by the device manager.
Someone suggested in an other thread that I need just to press (not hold) power + volume button.
I will try that and let you know.
By the way what is 'test mode'?
Hi Everyone,
My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 stuck on Samsung logo during boot. I cannot even go to recovery mode (power + volume up doesnot work). I can only go to ODIN mode. I downloaded odin tool and corresponding firmware from a website, but my problem is that PC donot recognize my tablet now. It doesnot appear as device or recognised by KIES. I reinstalled KIES (not KIES 3, although KIES3 is also installed on the machine to see but still getting the message "USB Device not recognized". Just to let you know that my 3 samsung mobile phones (S3, S4 and S6) are working fine and perfectly recognized by PC/KIES/Smartswitch
The tablet can be charged without an issue but it is not recognized at all by PC through USB. Looks like a dead end for me. Any help is highly appreciated as otherwise tablet was working fine until this problem occured. My tablet UK model is GT-N8010 and out of warranty.
Thanks
Fayyaz
Change usb cable.
Try another port
Try another PC

Download PROPER DRIVERS. Usually they are downloaded by kies but sometimes, they don't work. In case of that, you have to download samsung drivers by yourself. I think you can find it in here or simply google it.
Here is an another issue with laptops that I also encountered: When you plug in, despite you having drivers, pc doesn't recognize it or constantly the device connects and disconnects every 2 seconds. In that case, you need to update your bios version. However, this case is not likely.(If you are not bad luck brian like me) So focus on driver installation.
Afternoon all,
Have been out of the rom'ing scene for a while...
I have a number of devices (Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Nexus 7 2012, to be exact), that I want to flash a new ROM onto (the Tab's stuck in a boot loop, the N7's due for Dirty Unicorns Nougat Rom).
All pretty straight forward - I've done it in the past - BUT...
Can I get Windows 10 to even *see* new hardware's been connected, let alone recognize it?
Can I fook
To confirm, I plug the USB between the PC and the device, and all that shows this is connected is that the device realises it's being charged, no "ding ding" from Windows, no USB confirmation from the device...
Both devices have USB Debugging enabled.
Have tried different USB cables
Have tried different USB ports
Have tried - many! - different USB drivers, including that from both Asus and Google's own dev kit.
Have ADB installed, "adb devices" shows no devices (blank).
The thing that's really pi**ing me off is that this is such a basic thing to be stuck by, I really cant figure out what I'm missing!
Any help appreciated gents...

Windows 10 is very buggy. Download lobit Drive Booster to see if you are missing any driver for your pc. Your pc is probably missing some drivers for the motherborad or outdated. If this does not work, clean install windows 10. Let windows 10 install all the drivers for you while it is installing. Best method. Good internet connection required.
its damn easy, the problem lies in Windows, just boot into repairmodus/system recovery its the blue menu for troubleshooting, there u choose Startup Setting and there u choose number 7,thats for disabling the digital driver signature checking, after the reboot all is fine, boot note u must do it everytime new after reboot.
please next ask and post in right section, thanx.
Nvidia USB driver (ADB and Fastboot) is the only one that works for me
