Is it better to flash 1 or 2 of the XXME7 kernels.....will i miss something if i just flash 1? Also, how to flash 2 kernels together in odin....do I click PDA and choose kernel 1, wait for it to load and click PDA again and choose kernel 2 and then click START or do I flash them both separately?

If you want use 1 kernel(like other version) need only put Kernel_XXME7_only_one_kernel.tar in PDA. And if you want flash two kernel(i don't know why XXME7 have 2 kernel like XXMB4 - leaked version) only put Kernel_XXME7.tar in PDA and click start(i think with two kernel is safety like one kernel)
p/s: i don't know kernel 2 can affect performance
XXMF2 Kernel And XXMG2 Kernel is OUT!
Good to see will try
I`ve flashed and tested the XXME7 2 kernels, the XXME7 1 kernel and the XXMG2 1 kernel and all are working without any problem.

There isn`t a huge difference between any of the kernels listed in the OP, but from the ones i`ve tested, I`m sticking with MG2 for now. Just feels smooth on my phone. Try them both for a day or two and decide which is better for your phone.
I've tested kernel MG2, still running on baseband MF2

There are 2 kernels inside the first MG2 zip and only one in the second. If you`re going to flash the 2 kernels use odin but you can use UKF to flash the MG2_only_one kernel.

There is NO best kernel, just like there is NO best ROM. People use different settings that can make their experience vastly different then yours!
I've said it before and I'll say it again... just flash and see! Try out a kernel for a week or two, flash another one! It takes 2 mins of your time and you get to form you own opinion from your own use.
Just my .02 anyway
I agree with NYYFan325. Everyone should try different ROMS and KERNELS to find the best combination for yourself. I am with this: ROM: Slim ICS 4.0; KERNEL: Matr1x v.22; Unlocked; Rooted; Ondemand~Noop; 100 - 1000 MHz; Deep Idle - ON and the result is this: Screenshot 1; Screenshot 2; Screenshot 3; Screenshot 4
Currently the best result for me gives Matr1x. The latest version is very stable and fast (v.22).
Just try a few KERNELS. There is a theme with collected KERNELS and ROMS.
I had the best screen on time with Ink-Cm9 kernel. Over 5 hours. Next time i got 4 and half hours.

You can flash Matr1x while remaining on a stock rooted ROM; you don't need a custom ROM.

Thank you, I'm rooting right now. I hope Matr1x fix the battery drain, because it's impossible to use the stock kernel...

I've installed the Matr1x kernel, doing a full charge. I do this procedure:
1 - Clear malvik cache
2 - Install kernel
3 - Data wipe
Anything else I should do?
Thanks!

The reason why overclock doesn't work properly, is because the "userinit.sh" script located in "/data/local" is not running on boot.
I have to add another script to "/system/etc/init.d" in order to enable it.

Not sure, I never used those ROMS but I dont see why not. I would, however, recomend updating the new bootloader to be more "compatible" with the ROM.
When Asus changes bootloaders they always change something... IDK, they just do

The 4.4.2 OTA bootloader is locked, correct?
Does it lock out loading new kernels?
What's the difference between the 4.2.2 bootloader and the new one?
Thanks

Omg you're back. I've been sticking with stock kernels because there are no good sense kernels for vzw

Does your kernel include kexec hardboot patch?

First off, thanks for making a kernel with that feature. I certainly enjoy fooling with MultiROM and that's a requirement for the host ROM.
At the same time, I don't know that the kernel posted is successful. I flashed the CodeCraft-M8_PH-kexec-hardboot.zip posted in the OP on my device running Santod's latest NuSense build. Using the MultiROM Manager, it states that the kernel does not have the kexec-hardboot patch.
I can't say I have high proficiency with MultiROM or what this specific kernel feature is otherwise, so let me know if there is a specific log that it would be useful for me to attach. I wasn't sure if a logcat would say much in this instance.

Okay so that one was my bad . Its in the code just wasn't initialized in the config. I have a new one cooking right now. If its not to much trouble, can you flash it to check if the problem persist?
Happy to. Watching for the new posting. Thank you for your efforts to the community.

All set, same name new zip
Still no luck. I installed the kernel once with Flashify and a second time just from recovery to be sure. In both cases, I receive the message that the kernel doesn't have the kexec-hardboot patch.

Not sure what is up with the download counter, but yes, I've tried that copy as well. Screenshot is attached of the feedback I get from the MultiROM Manager program (and yes, I know I didn't install the main MultiROM file yet. This still works for detecting kernel ability, or it has in previous builds). Please let me know if there is any other log source I can provide.
Well I got it working and new zip is uploaded
@Evolutionmods what's setting should I have to advoid reboots when running antutu?
