There has been lots of frustration among the Symphony w125 users as Symphony doesnt provide good after sales service to their customers. Many users have bricked their device or lost their stock recovery while trying to root the device with conventional method available( same as Xolo q800). It seemed that although these Phones Gionee gn708w/Fly IQ446/Xolo Q800 are same, Symphony had done something with their lot so that it becomes hard for users to gain root access and run custom roms. Still now, we were at dead end, as once we try to use custom rom, there were no turning back to stock and we couldnt claim our warranty incase anything goes wrong. Then one member from our Community named Litu tried very hard and ultimately successfully managed to take the backup of the stock rom using MTK Droid Tool. So big thanks to him. Now we dont need to worry about our device getting bricked. So Symphony w125 users Here is the SP flash tool flashable version of Stock rom for our w125.

(sorry for uploading it into mega, i tried to upload the file as a whole, and seems to me mega is the best option Vcom drivers and SP flash tools are included with the zip file)
NB: Do not flash this rom to Xolo Q800/Gionee gn 708w/ Fly IQ 446, i will not be responsible if anything goes wrong.
Credits-
Litu for his hardwork and successfully compiling the rom from backup.
Oshohay ek pothik for helping with the droid tool.

Hi, I recently bought the Micromax A50.
Will you be able to help me in any way to get it rooted as can be seen, you have been very successful in rooting A75.
Both are based on the same chipset and same RAM.
If possible, i"ll try it on my phone.

Ok so I flashed a custom rom on my phone that I got from here which turned out to be a mistake because ever since I did this I keep getting
- Phone standby
- Phone idle
These 2 things drain my battery like a $2 prostitute and its really been pissing me off because I cant keep my cell charged. I did back up my phone with the mtk droid tools b4 flashing this rom but now when i try to flash the old rom back on it will no work and again have no idea why.
what I need is a working version of the stock rom I can use in the sp flash tool so hopefully someone can help me and has kept there stock rom because honestly im very pissed because if i cannot get rid of these phone standby and phone idle then im gonna throw this phone against a wall because that is all it is good for after that.

I have just uploaded the stock rom for Haipai I9389 Build Number 11_ly_20130821: http://www.mediafire.com/download/y7t0gk51mq3ek3s/Haipai I9389 ROM 11_ly_20130821.zip [file size 392 MB]
The rom was created with MTK Droid Tools v.2.51 & read back successfully with SP Flash Tool v3.1328.0.183.
Please take care when flashing the rom, as per Dr Moo Savi's excellent tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982587
Some experts advise to uncheck PRELOADER before flashing, as an incorrect PRELOADER will brick your device. Other forum members much more knowledgeable than myself, can comment on this.

I use symphony xplorer w65. Searched all around CWM rom for my handset. But this brand is not available anywhere. So I did search for other things. I used framaroot.apk for one click root. This is really safe for Mtk devices like mine. For Rom backup I used CWM magic create file.
You can find all the details in other threads going by the name mtk device cwm back up. You may come up with the software carliv touch recovery tool. Its great for MTK devices like symphony, micromax etc. I wrote this for other mtk device users who are still wondering how to get things done in your android smartphone. Thank you!

still looking for the cwm?
Hi all,
I have a sparkle v which is unrooted and also I don't have any software like cwm.
My phone is stuck in an infinite bootloop. I tried removing the battery, going to recovery mode and factory resetting it and clearing cache.
None of those worked. Please help.
Please explain it briefly.. when it occurs..?? i.e after any update u done
My phone started becoming laggy and not very responsive after I received a 18 mb update which when I tried to install always bought an error during restart - a dead bot icon was shown.
I searched online and many people faced the same. So essentially I wasn't able to install that update and it showed in the taskbar to install the same. However one day that notification disappeared. Maybe it was a problem with low internal memory.
This infinite boot problem occurred after that.

Thanks for your reply.
Could you please tell me where I can find how to flash my rom to stock Lollipop or K?
I was able to find this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9Co-2QBRZU
He uses SP flash tool and does it for a micromax A1. Will it work for Sparkle V too?
1. What drivers do I need and will the one he used for micromax work for me too?
2. Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
Thanks
use this to get rom link http://forum.xda-developers.com/sparkle-v/general/stock-firmware-t2889509
for adb driver use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...l/tutorial-unlock-bootloader-install-t2895763
sp flash tool will work for sparkle v too
for instructions http://androidxda.com/flash-stock-rom-using-smart-phone-flash-tool
I understand what stock rom and sp tool mean (or do), but what is this custom recovery for? Is it required to flash my rom with the stock one?
1) Also once again Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
If you would like you could have a look at the YT tutorial for a few minutes and let me know if it is safe to try that out? He doesn't mention any ADB drivers.
2) Is ADB driver universal for all phones?
3) Is there anything else to install? In the thread you linked it said install as usual for Mediatek devices. I'm assuming sparkle v is also one of them

i think you r new to flashing..
stock rom or stock os (kk or lollli or m) is the one came with or distributed by the ur phone brand ie.. here google... it helps you to get back to your phone to original state if ur software is corrupted that is laggy or force close restarting ... if u use ur stock rom it doesnt void ur warranty...
custom recovery means user defined one to install custom rom on ur mobile(user created one for ur mobile) it helps ur to backup ur mobile rom or datas etc..
dont fear while flash the mobile follow the instruction as instructed if not possiblity to get ur phone soft or hard bricked do it at ur own risk..
in ur referred video link he gave the links below the video for driver , flash tool , rom... he said about driver installation on starting the video
sparkle v also the same mediatek for more info download cpu-z app from store or google ..
download both stock kitkat and lollipop rom for ur sparkle v which is present in sparkle v cross development search there or use my above links ....slowly read the steps in the links and flash ur mobile...
Hi,
Thanks, I will try the steps and really looking forward to it working.

So I got this cheap cell phone on Ebay for $50 (Sky Devices Elite Octa 5.5 with MT6753). It has great specs for that price. However, I'm now paying for it as I can't root the device.
I've tried one click tools but none of them worked. So now I'm asking the XDA community hoping that I can get some pointers.
I've found various tutorials online but they've all come to a dead end. If you find one that you think I should try, please let me know and I'll check it out.
I tried contacting the OEM but they were d-bags and refused to provide stock ROM or scatter file. Which makes me want to root it even more!
The furthest I got was I can dump about 2 GB from the device's memory to a raw file on my PC using SPF (Smart Phone Flash) Tool. One of the tutorials I found is here:
https://cmflare4guides.wordpress.com/2016/08/25/how-to-create-spft-rom-dump/
The Instructions section works but the Continuation section does not. In MTK Droid Root, the button "To process file ROM_ from FlashTool" is disabled and I can't click it.
Any ideas?
I can unlock the boot loader.
I think what I need to do is:
- "extract" the ROM that I downloaded via SPF Tools into various partitions (no idea how though)
- mount the partitions as a loop back device in Linux
- modify some file that will disable permissions on the device (allowing me to install SuperSU)
- "package" the modifications back to some ROM image
- upload the image to the device
However, I currently can't figure out what to do with the ROM_FULL that I downloaded from the device using SPF Tools.
Need Sky devices Elite 5.5 0cta (MT6753) Flash file(ROM)
Ey mate!,,hope you're doing good.. lucky I finally found your post over here. I kinda bricked that same phone when I been tryna flash a custom rom on it.
I managed to root it, had to use Miracle box( Cracked) ....side-loaded TWRP recovery via fast boot (felt like a champ:victory
but then things got wacky the moment I flashed a custom rom and now it can't even boot into any mode ,..almost scanned the whole web for its firmware but dang!, couldn't find it anywhere. If u still have that Sky Elite 5.5 Octa thing.. or the ROM,please do help a brother man, I am so in need of it...
