Google now for Micromax A110

Does any has Google Play working on Micromax A110? tried several patches from xda and also GNow Handler, all installs well but can't access Google Now. Whenever try to click on the Mic Icon, instantly get a msg, "Didn't Catch That. Try Speaking Again".
Curently on JMP™ v1.0 ICS 4.0.4 rom.

Please try new apps...it might work...but if it still doesnt...then switch to htc or samsung or sony....micromax is not such trustable..

Google now works smoothly on Micromax A110. I have been using it since last 2 weeks.
Remember to change the language to English(India) & Google Now will understand everything if you speak clearly & a lil bit loudly.
How did I got it installed ? From below xda thread. I have used the 1st Flashable zip
M7 - mikeyxda's version 7. This version improves on M6 by tweaking notifications to be more accurate and frequent. This version may use more battery. If you are using a Sense ROM, see the troubleshooting below for a hack to improve Google Now performance and battery efficiency.

hey thanx for your effort, But looks like it was something to do with the rom, after installing JMP rom v2 Google now worked fine.

Hi all....
I've ported Naturewiz HD for a116 to the Ultrafone 701 HD...
The port is working beautifully... No issues in 24 hours of testing.....
Except for reduction in camera quality - say 10% in daylight and 40 % darker at night....
I need some time to research and fix this sole bug....
maybe the other developers with this phone can help??......

Camera I am not sure if the photos actually come 12mp
Yes the photo quality is not as much like stock
Other than that. The ROM is working good. No probs at all . connected WiFi. Xda installed.. Looking good :thumbup:

actually i am not into the megapixel funda at all....
Naturewiz had it... and i did not have the patience to revert it back to the stock camera....
IMHO the stock cam is bettter than a116...

did not get to remove the chinese root app either....

It is a good ROM dude . besides we could remove the Chinese app right ? I like this more than stock ROM

Dude... All the wireless network functions. WiFi. Airplane mode etc sometimes start getting very sluggish and internet stops data transfer
But once that happens and you try to re connect to WiFi the phone starts to restart multiple times and finally it become normal

Oops.... I'll try to reproduce that on my phone......
Tested GPS on the road..... First time took about two minutes.... Later took only few seconds....

I used "pimp my ROM" app to take care of networks issue. So that's taken care of. But now the problem I am getting is repeated force close message of gapps
Other than that. Things are good for now

Dude after testing the ROM for a day. Here is my feedback for the ROM
1. The wireless networks become sluggish and toggle buttons like Wifi on\off , Airplane Mode does not respond as expected
2. The battery status is shown inconsistently. Yesterday battery status was showing 4 percent after full charge and restarting the phone. and after a couple of restarts back to 90 % ! :cyclops:
3. Force close messages come for gapps repeatedly. I guess there is some issue with syncing from user accounts
4. known issue of camera.Tried apps from market,but no change.Guess putting the stock camera App or drivers could do the trick
Apart from this the ROM was running beautifully. I think this is a great start for a New ROM and First one too for 701 HD :good:

The airplane mode button seems to switch off BT, wifi , cellular network and data. No effect on GPS! When you switch airplane mode off it only turns on WiFi BT and cellular network but leaves the data connection off... Again no effect on the GPS...... Seems to be a build.prop entry.... Lemme check...

StarkHD and Canva4HD are good choices... from Canvas 116 HD and GravityMod2 from WL8

Sadly most of my friends are still on nokia symbian phones.. no chance there.I am the only one into these things
Maybe we could wait for Experia C. It is almost confirmed to come out this month.Except for QHD Screen against our HD screen. Most specs seem the same
But If I know right, only having same chipset for phone might not be enough to port the ROM right ?
BTW , is this ROM (Dextrowiz) ported from MMX Canvas4 ? the most recent one ?

You have developed this 4.4.2 rom for a117 and working but is it going to launch by MMX Soon
And is there any update you are planning to release for MODE EBR users because I cannot afford to install it unless I get fix for it
or is there any other way like install rom in stock EBR and re-flash only EBR with SP flash tool.
I have no idea I don't have my resource here to download so will test rom and upload feedback soon.

Finally KK for A117!!
First of all hatsoff to all devs who have contributed in releasing Kitkat for A117. Rom is super smooth and STABLE, xposed modules KK versions working fine.
But following were the problems faced by me:
1.Network data was not stable
2.Battery consumption too high as cpu is not going in deep sleep mode.
3.Camera is not focusing properly.
4.Read write problems with ext sdcard (yeah, i know its kitkat problem)
Nevertheless, very happy to use Kitkat 4.4.2 on my Magnus. :good: to everyone who have made this possible

So far only 1 bug I found.there is no way to mount sdcard as a phone storage although there is an option under settings >storage but its not working at all...even I tried some others way to do the same bt I failed...
If you get time u should look in to it...
And thanx for this leaked ROM..
its completely stock mediatek KitKat ROM , performance and stability both are great..

4. New DAILER App prioritizes contacts recently/mostly dailed :good:
5. Good Signal Reception and Data connection
Issues faced
1. Battery Consumption is high even mobile is in sleep :crying:
I mean there is no sudden battery drop but constantly eating my battery when screen is off
Questions
1. How to restore apps from 4.2.1 to 4.4.2 using titanium backup pro
Getting parse error even after moving titanium backup folder to internal storage
2. Unable to restore stock 4.2.1 from nandroid back up after installing this ???

One irritating bug is Video does not work in camera. Can anybody help with it? Is the bug fixed?

Question about memory swapping
Hai guys, I am new to flashing rom and I am in stock rom presently. I have decided to flash this rom and so I rooted my A117 using Framaroot. Now going to install TWRP recovery using TWRP manager. Then I will install this rom.
My question is, since this rom is pre swapped, will the apps that I backed up using Titanium Backup can be restored ?. Am asking because internal storage and sd card paths of present rom will become conflict for new kitkat rom right ?

There should be no problem of that in the latest verison.
And if there a problem of the internal storage then u can use swapper to swap the memories....
U r going to flash this rom but i might tell u that this rom drains a lot of battery..rest is ur choice

This is very Rom, but faced he problem with USB Tethering, Whenever i make it On it goes back to OFF automatically....
Has anybody else faced it. Checked by flashing ROM 3 times.

I am facing this error in rom... The YouTube Android aap is not able to load vedios in 720p or in higher 1020p...pls fix it... Other than it rom is awesome

1 when i install Google play service I can't use it . every time I try to acces It will crashed
(So I can't switch my clash of clan's account )
2 I can't use rom manager (always crashed)
3 Google play market not saported
4 all vice services are blocked
5 data services are blocked

the reason is youtube doesnt allow to play hd videos in Kitkat 4.4.4

firstly place Phonesky(playstore) in system/priv-app using any root explorer. install google play service in phone memory.

Hey Mahendra,
I am noob in this field but want to install xperia rom in my mmx a117. But i m confused between lots of patches and versions. So can u tell me exactly what should i download and flash? I believe i should download that full and fresh rom of 400 mbs from 1 st link in quot in 3 rd post. If so is that latest version or i have to use patches in post 4?
Sorry for noob question. (I just have insralled superuser via framaroot.)

PureXperia Z2 4.3.5 for A117-Bug found
@cmahendra - I have been using this rom on my A117 for the last 2-3 months. It is a beautiful rom and thanks to you and all the other devs for this rom. I've noticed a couple of bugs since the beginning and would like to share them with you to help you sort them out in future and improve the rom:
1. Album- When opening Album, thumbnails are not visible and only black screen is visible. Screenshot attached.
2. Devices-Intermittent message "Unfortunately Devices has stopped working". Don't have a screenshot as of now, since i uninstalled it.
3. Device Memory-Default Install location is "Device Memory", which is just 0.98 GB and it fills up very fast since all Apps and their data are installing into this space. Anyway, it can be freed up without clearing data repeatedly. Can i select "SD Card" for default install location?
4. Sometimes i get a prompt saying, "Unfortunately Purexperia Z2 by bgos10 has stopped working". I click on OK twice and it goes aware. It is infrequent and doesn't have a pattern of appearing.
Thanks for the good work and hope you can help me sort out the above bugs.

When will Xperia Z3 Rom come? We are eagerly waiting sir.
I am using your Z2 rom. But unable to find it is updated one or not. Also setting is force closed whenever i selected OTA update option in setting from "Pure Xperia Setting". Please help

Several bugs
Hi I have installed this ROM and been using for last one week. It is very awesome and feels link I am using Xpeereia Z2 espcially sound performance is really impressiv. But there are few bixes needs to be considered. Data, signal and Wifi is not connected when it was switched off some time earlier. I need to reboot to make it. Kindly fix it or let me know if any workaround.

ROOT ACCESS IS NOT PRESENT. ROOT D

What to do in this?? I am using cwm recovery. I m rooted n using xld rom rite now. This has happened first time although i have installed lots of rom.

Good ROM, some problems
Hi!
This ROM is what you say it is! Way better than my stock. However, I encountered some problems.
-After reboot, or after i changed from airplane mode to any other profile, I kept getting the following messages - 'Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped.' and 'Unfortunately, Email has stopped'. I cleared the cache for both apps, but contacts still gives the same message everytime.(screenshot attached)
-Whenever I recieve an SMS, I can see the whole message when I drag down the notification panel, but I see nothing when I actually open messaging. (Screenshot attached)
-The ROM is a battery guzzler. Eats up the battery in no time.(XLD Rom was much better in this respect, but I will put it in the respective thread).
-Also, my phone is always out of range. Hardly 1 to 2 bars! I live in Thane, and the baseband should match, right?
Anyway, as I said, this ROM is what it claims to be, and way better than stock. Thanks for the same!
