Only few questions here bro
You have developed this 4.4.2 rom for a117 and working but is it going to launch by MMX Soon
And is there any update you are planning to release for MODE EBR users because I cannot afford to install it unless I get fix for it
or is there any other way like install rom in stock EBR and re-flash only EBR with SP flash tool.
I have no idea I don't have my resource here to download so will test rom and upload feedback soon.

Finally KK for A117!!
First of all hatsoff to all devs who have contributed in releasing Kitkat for A117. Rom is super smooth and STABLE, xposed modules KK versions working fine.
But following were the problems faced by me:
1.Network data was not stable
2.Battery consumption too high as cpu is not going in deep sleep mode.
3.Camera is not focusing properly.
4.Read write problems with ext sdcard (yeah, i know its kitkat problem)
Nevertheless, very happy to use Kitkat 4.4.2 on my Magnus. :good: to everyone who have made this possible
So far only 1 bug I found.there is no way to mount sdcard as a phone storage although there is an option under settings >storage but its not working at all...even I tried some others way to do the same bt I failed...
If you get time u should look in to it...
And thanx for this leaked ROM..
its completely stock mediatek KitKat ROM , performance and stability both are great..

Less free ram!
Well its a pretty nice ROM for A500 but there are some bugs not for daily use! The main problem in this ROM is the Low RAM issue! Its lags alot! even after fresh installation of this ROM you are having only +60MB of RAM! After Cleaning you get almost +90MB without having any application running in the background(Except the stock one i.e system apps) After installing some apps and games the phones lagging gets double!
The sound Tab in the setting menu is also missing! How one is suppose to disable the vibration on softkeys!
OP is requested to kindly Update the thread with the known bugs of this ROM as it will greatly help new users to know whether its worth download or not! :angel:

As for sound tab which version are you running v1 or v2.?
have you tried pure perfomance mod?
You can not expect perfomance from this phone especially on rom like this which is all about graphics.

I Tried v2 there was Viper sound setting instead of Normal Sound Tab. Didn't tried the performance mode because i restored my backup of lewa ROM immediately. I think it doesnt make any major difference if you flash the Performance mode tweaks.
Yeah you are right we cant expect performance from this phone and from this ROM also but we can try different tweaks and other stuff from this xda to make it work smoothly.

Goto this thread and follow the rooting method only. It works almost for any MTK device simply. If still you dnt get root then tell me there are other ways also!

Question about memory swapping
Hai guys, I am new to flashing rom and I am in stock rom presently. I have decided to flash this rom and so I rooted my A117 using Framaroot. Now going to install TWRP recovery using TWRP manager. Then I will install this rom.
My question is, since this rom is pre swapped, will the apps that I backed up using Titanium Backup can be restored ?. Am asking because internal storage and sd card paths of present rom will become conflict for new kitkat rom right ?

There should be no problem of that in the latest verison.
And if there a problem of the internal storage then u can use swapper to swap the memories....
U r going to flash this rom but i might tell u that this rom drains a lot of battery..rest is ur choice

the reason is youtube doesnt allow to play hd videos in Kitkat 4.4.4

firstly place Phonesky(playstore) in system/priv-app using any root explorer. install google play service in phone memory.

Bro i checked it for 2 days and used it as well
i didnt face any auto reboot proble try installing it properly clear cache/dalvik cache
And for all of ur other problems its a beta verson release now and its a stock version of lewa thats why the chinese apps and notifications e.t.c
will release it after mod soon.

Many ROMs have this error and none of the ROM porters have solution for this. :crying:
Not sure, but is it something to do with different versions of Micromax Canvas 2+? Manish's one ROM had similar error which he had solved in his next update.

I'm unable to download the ROM since the link given is not working
Great rom..!!!
Used this rom for last 1 hr n its simply awesome...
No proximity sensor issue..
No video drivers problem...
Youtube video plays flawlessly...
No glitches...
The only reason i uninstalled it was because it is not root.(superuser is installed bt no root permission)...
Eagerly waiting for someone to provide solution to that...
I found some bugs bt i think they can be solved easily...
Bugs which i found:
Mic not working in google search..(works in call and voice recording)
Inbuilt camera do not give full 8 mp resolution(google camera works fine)
When connected to pc only sd card is connected and internal is not(not a big deal)..
Great work dev...
For me its one of the best kitkat rom...
Just provide solution to for root

I flashed it yesterday bt my phone went in boot loop after that...
Can u give me the file which u flashed
heyy which cwm did you use??6.0.5.1?? how long did it take to boot??
also the root problem you were talking about...did you try flashing supersu coz the same thing happend with me in legend rom, the internal superuser app was not working for me. Thank you

Ya i m using cwm 6.0.5.1.
Rom takes little long to boot for the first time as compared to some other rom..
Bt after first boot its fast...
I tried flashing supersu zip bt ended up with boot loop..
Bt seems its working for other users...
So may be the file which i flash had some error...
I would be great if anyone of u can give me supersu.zip which u guys use...

Installation :

use KK supporting recovery (Eg TWRP , CWM or Philz Touch recovery)
1) Download ROM zip and update File from below link

3) Go To Recovery TWRP or Philz recovery
4) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5) Select Install From SD and Select file And Click YES
6) Select ROM zip And Select YES
7) Ten Install htcm8update.zip NOTE: Mandatory step.
8) Reboot
9) Congrats You have Rom now.
NOTE :- Flashing both rom and update is Mandatory for proper boot. Else you might face some bugs.
(It will take around 5 Min. for first boot)

it doesn't wipe internal memory it swaps it with the app data partition.
flaash a diffrent rom and all data recovered

Download the apk from somewhere else then install it manuallly..
Viper4Android not working
Excellent Rom but Viper4Android s not able to install...gives error "busybox not installed or check for rooted"
FYI. i have installed the Stericson's busybox and am rooted.

Install busybox from play store
Click on busybox app
Click install
It will show you confirmation message
Reboot device
Open viper4android app
It will show you the dialogue box
Click yes to install drivers
Click on super audio quality
Click OK
It will say driver installed reboot your device
Click OK
You are done enjoy
