So I was flashing the new revalation rom and it said it flash succesfully and stuff but then when it came time to boot, it says htc for about 10 secs then it goes of like its gonna boot to the boot screen, but it just goes back to Htc start screen for 10 secs and then of for ten 10. AND It does it for hours on end! But i tried to flash my backup, and now it does the same thing for every ROM!
So im thinking i soft bricked, because i can boot into the bootloader and reecovery, just not the ROM!
If anyone knows how you fix this please help me! I'm thinking you use the HTC Unbricking Project but im unsure if that will make it worse!
Thanks in advance!!

extract the boot.img from the rom you are currently using
put it in the folder where you have adb and fastboot files
now boot the device into bootloader and connect it to pc via usb(it should say fastboot usb)
open a command window in that folder and do this command
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Hey everyone!
Basically I've got the HTC sensation (H Boot 1.27) & what happened was...
I rooted the phone & got clockwork mod recovery on it also without turning s-off.
Without backing up the rom (very silly of me) I did a full wipe on the phone to try flash a new rom but the rom wouldn't boot so I tried flashing a different rom & that wouldn't boot also so now i'm soo stuck & really neeed someone's help because I cant get the phone to work!
I was thinking that maybe someone who's on the same hboot as me could back up there system give it to me so i can try use there backup to start my phone?
Please XDA' people help me!
I'm willing to buy ANYONE a beer (via paypal) if they can help! :crying:
Flash the rom you want via clockwork, then when it's finished go to fastboot, connect the phone with usb to the computer and use ADB to flash the boot.img of the rom you just flashed

Flash boot.img from the ROM manually from fastboot.
Put the boot.img from the zip file to your adb folder.
Connect your phone in fastboot USB
Open a command window
cd to the adb folder
for example:
Code:
cd c:\android
Then type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then type:
Code:
fastboot reboot

Enable smart flash and re-flash the rom
.. But don't do complete wipe.. Just do wipe of Dalvik + cache.. And re flash the rom
You won't lose a single spec of data and voila the WIFI works too

Hey Guys!
I've accidently rebooted the phone while on TWRP after full wipe without instaling new rom. Now it won't pass the initial screen (htc quietly briliant), or get into the TWRP mode.
What can I do?
I just had instaled the King Kang rom...
manually boot into bootloader. volume down + power. then "fastboot flash boot boot.img" the boot.img for the rom you want to flash. then boot into recovery from bootloader.

release power but not volume down.
This will eventually load you into hboot, from there you can access TWRP.

Trying to flash King Kang again. That's the only one I have in my internal memory.
Probably not the best option as it got stuck on the initiating swagger...
How long does it take to pass this screen? Lost my patient after 5 minutes and I've restarted it...

I clean installed a ROM, but it stays stuck in boot up animation. So I headed your advice.. But its not working. All I can do is start Odin mode and watch my boot up animation run. Over and over.
I can't find a work around so I can get back to TWRP and go back to a rom that offers at least more than a boot up animation
Any ideas?

what command did you run to flash twrp? "fastboot flash recovery <twrpfilename>.img" if you ran "fastboot flash boot <twrpfilename>.img" then you need to run "fastboot flash boot boot.img" to allow you to boot again then run the correct command "fastboot flash recovery <twrpfilename>.img" to flash recovery.
i used the hasoon 2000 aio kit if that means anything
thanks for your quick reply though

i think recovery is flashed where boot is supposed to be, you need to flash boot.img from fastboot.
Reflash everything manually reflash recovery reflash boot.I'mg
i am new to this stuff so please be patient with me
how do i reflash manually
thanks
look at my first post and this post for the files http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38217541&postcount=297
ok sorry but im confused i tried to reflash but i get nothing to happen its the same as before stuck on teamwin screen
so you confirmed flashing in fastboot recovery to recovery and boot to boot? if so, i would just fastboot oem lock then run ruu and start over without the kit this time. all you need to do afterwards is use ur token to reunlock, flash recovery in fastboot then copy rom to sdcard and flash, if you get booted into sense somehow turn off fast boot in power and turn on usb debugging in developer options then issue adb reboot bootoader or adb reboot recovery depending on where you are trying to go.
i dont have the ruu for rogers 3.17 though any idea where i can find this
thanks for your patience so far

Hello, all. I've spent the last four hours trying update my AT&T HTC One X running Android 4.1.1 to 4.2.2 and I failed hard!
First, I used the all-in-one toolkit to unlock my bootloader, flash clockwork recovery, and root the phone. The first guide I was following gave me error status 7 when I tried to flash the ROM so I wen to this guide:
update-htc-one-x-cm101-android-422-jelly-bean-custom-firmware/2/ (from team android website)
I got to the step below using the SDK I downloaded from dev.android.com and now my phone is dead! The HTC logo appears and then it goes to a black screen. Luckily, I can still reach my fastboot and clockwork recovery menu but nothing I try makes the phone boot.
Step 8 - Type the following command and press Enter.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step 9 - Then, type the following command and press Enter.
fastboot reboot
I just want my phone back to normal please! I don't care about rooting anymore. Thank you.

Quick update...I flashed boot.img of the first link (CynogenMod) and my phone got passed the "HTC Quietly Brilliant" screen! But now it seems stuck on HTC One (Beats Audio at the bottom) screen. I'll give it a few minutes...
I'm really worried that I did major damage to my phone in the bootloader and clockwork recovery menus. I literally tried every single option there trying to get my phone to boot earlier.
Oh man...it seems stuck. Maybe I should just flash the completely stock boot.img file. If that works, I will factory reset my phone just to make sure everything is back to how it was before.
Dude it sounds like you're trying to flash a cm boot.img with a Sense ROM, that ain't gonna work. You can't just extract a boot.img and flash it with a different ROM.
You need to extract the boot.img from the ROM you're about to flash, then flash that ROM, then flash the boot.img you just extracted.

Thanks for your help man. If what you're saying is correct, does that mean my phone is hopeless? I deleted/wiped everything using the ClocworkMod Recovery menu. When I choose "install zip from sdcard" I get "E: Can't mount /sdcard/" and when I try to mount an sdcard I get "Error mounting /sdcard". I don't think I can flash any ROMs right now unless install zip from sideload is an option (I don't know how sideloading works).
Try using TWRP recovery instead, you'll find it here:
http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/evita
Download it, check md5 is correct, then:
fastboot flash recovery filename.img
(Filename = exact TWRP recovery filename)
Then issue this command:
fastboot erase cache
Then:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Now you should be able to select recovery on your phone screen and it should boot into TWRP. Next go to mount and mount usb storage. See if it comes up in Windows, it might need to be formatted from the sounds of it. If it doesn't show up as a usable drive, format it to fat32.
Once that's done you should be able to copy a ROM to your phone to flash. So copy it over, then extract the boot.img from the copy on your pc, then put the boot.img in your fastboot folder.
Do a full wipe in recovery (cache/dalvik/factory reset/system), then install the ROM, then reboot to bootloader, make sure phone is connected by usb, make sure fastboot usb comes up on your phone screen then issue the following command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Make sure it's the boot.img from the ROM you just flashed. Now once that's done you should be able to reboot into the ROM.
