Phone won't boot or get into TWRP - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey Guys!
I've accidently rebooted the phone while on TWRP after full wipe without instaling new rom. Now it won't pass the initial screen (htc quietly briliant), or get into the TWRP mode.
What can I do?
I just had instaled the King Kang rom...

manually boot into bootloader. volume down + power. then "fastboot flash boot boot.img" the boot.img for the rom you want to flash. then boot into recovery from bootloader.

Hold power button and volume down until the phone turns off
release power but not volume down.
This will eventually load you into hboot, from there you can access TWRP.
You forgot to flash the boot.img didn't you?

Thanks for the help guys!
Trying to flash King Kang again. That's the only one I have in my internal memory.
Probably not the best option as it got stuck on the initiating swagger...
How long does it take to pass this screen? Lost my patient after 5 minutes and I've restarted it...
What rom do u guys suggest? I just want sth simple and easy to use...

remember to flash boot.img in fastboot

I clean installed a ROM, but it stays stuck in boot up animation. So I headed your advice.. But its not working. All I can do is start Odin mode and watch my boot up animation run. Over and over.
I can't find a work around so I can get back to TWRP and go back to a rom that offers at least more than a boot up animation
Any ideas?

step 1. Boot into Bootloader Power+volume down
step 2. go to pc and flash recovery again with fastboot. fastboot flash recovery.img (make sure its in your adb folder)
step 3. while still in fastboot type: fastboot reboot recovery
step 4. Grab a beer, your back in recovery. flash away (and remember to flash boot.img via fastboot or you will boot loop if on hboot 1.14 and up

You can try pressing VOL UP + POWER.
Have you flashed recovery?
I cant even go into bootloader menu , i can get there through reset with ADB (command line).I unlocked bootloader and flashed recovery.twice with clockmod.

Try to flash this one, it's a special version. For some reason it's the only one that sticks when doing it the first time. After you can load into it then you can flash any other recovery you'd like.

Red warning should be mean you're bootloader is unlocked so why you can't flash recovery I don't know.
I'd wipe the recovery on my phone and try to tinker with my phone but can't tonight. It might be time to for you to run a RUU.
Try flashing a ROM and boot.img in fastboot, the command is the following.
fastboot flash zip nameofROM.zip
Then
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Once it finishes, try booting into the ROM. If it works, try flashing the recovery again.

You won't go into a bootloop unless you don't flash the boot.img!
If you don't want to listen to my advice, you can wait there like that.

[Q] Stuck after flashing boot.img

I'm on 2.20, was trying to get to CM10.1. Following instructions in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952076
Got to this point: "If you have the newer HBOOT 1.14 (you probably do if coming from stock 2.20), boot.img's will have to be flashed separately via fastboot. Extract the boot.img from you ROM zip of choice and put it in the same directory as fastboot. Reboot your device into boot loader and run "'fastboot flash boot boot.img' (no quotes)
You can then flash the ROM and gapps via recovery and reboot and enjoy."
I followed hasoon2000's advice that his all-in-one tool could flash boot.img for me. I grabbed boot.img from the cm zip, followed instructions to flash boot.img, all appeared good, however now I can't get to TWRP to flash CM. No matter what I do, when the phone boots to the screen with the red text, sits there for a while, and boot loops. The all-in-one tool can no longer detect any device connected to my computer. Any great advice out there or am I toast?

[Q] Where has recovery gone?

no access to recovery
I've got big problem. My One Mini is fine until I try to go into recovery. It refuses to go there.
I get fastboot and bootloader menus fine. It enters bootloader, but if I try to go into recovery, it just goes back to the main bootloader menu.
The problem started when I flashed CWMRecovery. Fastboot and adb recognise my phone, and accept commands, but when I try to fastboot flash recovery in it sends an error message. File not found.
I tried " fastboot boot recovery.img" but that just froze the machine .
When I try to get into recovery from rom manager or ROM toolbox pro, it takes me to the fastboot menu, not into recovery, and we're back to square one, as above.
Running android 4.3 Sense 5.5 software 2.12.401.1 Supercid 11111111
rooted and unlocked
To get the phone to work again, I have to hold power down for about 10 secs direct from fastboot/bootloader...may have to do this several times before it boots into Android.
If I turn power off from bootloader, it returns to bootloader when I power up again.
If I don't turn the phone off, once in main application, it's all OK.
Ho hum.
As I say , it works like a dream until I want to go into recovery.
Any ideas, please?
Thanks

The correct command to flash the recovery is
Code:
fastboot flash recovery your_recovery_image.img
see also: wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_fastboot_intro
Booting into recovery should be possible with
Code:
adb reboot recovery
I didnt tried CWM on the Mini, but used it on my old Marvel. I'm satisfied with TWRP for the Mini.
greetings
Yes, thanks. I know the commands should work...but that's the trouble..they don't!
I can get into the recovery menu...HBOOT /FASTBOOT / RECOVERY and so on, but selecting "RECOVERY" simply sends me back to HBOOT menu.
I can't flash anything under FASTBOOT, either. I've been doing this sort of thing for several years without trouble....until now!
So come on chaps..thinking caps on , please.

The RUU wouldn't run: it reported an unknown error, but having done so, it must have done something, as when I rebooted, I had access to recovery once again...briefly! Then it went again.
Anyway, I re locked / unlocked , locked a few times, and hey presto, it's sprung back into life!

[Q] Getting back recovery and root after OTA to CM12s

Hello,
I have recived the OTA today and I flashed it and now I dont have a custom recovery and root. What steps do I need to take to get those things back? I have tried to use this guide https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...oader-install-custom-recovery-and-root.64487/ but after flashing recovery.img through ADB I still have normal CM recovery.
Go to Developer Options in Settings and disable the "update CM recovery" option.
Transmitted via Bacon
It has been disabled the whole time
Ok. So you say you're flashing the recovery through adb but that's impossible so I'm assuming you're flashing with fastboot, right?
Transmitted via Bacon
I'm not really good in those names.. I have isnerted a screenshot from this program.

Looks ok. Where are you getting the recovery from? Did you rename it to "recovery.img" for a reason?
Transmitted via Bacon
I've got that file from TWRP website and I renamed it to recovery.img. I have succesfully booted into this recovery with a command "fastboot boot recovery.img" which allowed me to flash root and xposed form it but after rebooting the phone the old recovery remains...
I have the same problem. Flash TWRP says it's flashed OK, but when I reboot to recovery it's still stock.

After flashing new recovery, when you go to reboot, hold down Vol-Down and Power before it boots into the OS and it should load the new recovery. Had this problem myself earlier today, if you let it boot to the OS, it flashes back the CM recovery.

It works! I think it because of the dev settings into CM12S which force the recovery to be CM12S' one.

I'm having the same problem, can someone go over start to finish how they fixed this issue?
What worked for me
I previously had TWRP installed, wiped and did the C12S flash but didn't flash SuperSu before rebooting. This removed TWRP and brought me to Cynogen Recovery whenever going into recovery mode (Vol Dwn + Power). This also removed the root from my phone. To fix this took some digging and I came up with the following solutions as long as you had TWRP installed at one point. If not then unlock your boot loader and re install. I named my TWRP File Recovery just to keep things simple, but whatever your TWRP Filename is put that in at #5.
1) Enter Fastboot Mode (Vol Up + Power)
2) On your computer open command prompt (Ctrl R)
3) Plug your phone in
4) Type the following minus the quotes
"cd desktop/android-sdk-windows/platform-tools"
5) fastboot boot recovery.img
This will boot your TWRP, you can then go to flash your SuperSu file and you're done!
im having this issue too : /

When I try booting it Booting it into recovery(twrp) I get a black screen. I can tell the Screen is on because of the dim glow it gives off but it is not doing anything. Note: I am some what of a noob when it comes to this stuff, My nexus 5 was running Marshmallow, and I was running the Xtra smooth rom (it is very close to stock). Plz help. All you have to do is boot into your bootloader (Power + Volume Up + Volume Down at the same time) and flash the stock recovery.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Chances are you flashed an incorrect version of TWRP meant for another phone hence the boot loop.

Can you please explain to me exactly what to do. thank you. also my bootloader is unlocked. I also can get to fastboot so what is the diffrence between bootloader and fastboot.
Hold down the volume +, volume -, and power button. You'll be taken to a screen with the word START at the top. Now, connect the phone to your Windows computer using the USB cable, open a command prompt and type "fastboot flash recovery nameof twrpfile.img", press the enter key, use the volume button to select recovery, use the power button to enter recovery, press the power button, press volume + button, and you should enter TWRP.
Thank you but I do not own a windows computer
Then look up the respective commands. You flashed twrp over your kernel, you need to flash a proper boot.img (kernel) if you want the phone to boot. Fastboot is ran through bootloader. Flash the proper kernel in bootloader using fastboot.
