[Q] How to disable navbar in PAC-man on Droid Razr Maxx - General Questions and Answers

My Droid Razr Maxx has a navbar below the screen that is part of the phone's hardware. Therefore, I don't want to use the screen space for displaying PAC-man's navbar. However, I cannot find an option in settings to disable PAC-man's navbar. So, my question is: Is there a way to get rid of PAC-man's navbar?
I am new to this forum and I tried to post this question to the PAC-man developer's thread, however, it would not let me post to a developer's thread because it complained that I didn't have 10 or more forum posts yet.... Ergo, which is why I am posting this question here.
Thanks!
Gordon

Never mind, I figured it out.
Goto Settings > Hybrid Properties > Interface. Slide the navbar size to zero to hide it and then click the check mark at the top right to save the setting.
FYI,
Gordon

Modding Toggles of JB 4.1.2 (For Note 2 and S3)

Hi Guys,
I'm building a more usable toggles for Samsung Galaxy Note II
I'm modding the stock toggles to add more options and and customization through phone settings.
I'm stuck and desperately need someone's advice. I need to do 2 things
1. Add flashlight and airplane mode toggles. (I know blocking mode is a better alternative but some people like me prefer to sleep with the radios off at night, to save battery and our health).
2. I want to disable the animation which happen when you pull down the notification bar and quickly the quicksettings (toggle) buttons move from left to right. I need to disable this feature.
If anyone of you have any ideas please give me a helping hand.
Running WanamLite 2.4 XXDLL7 in Samsung Galaxy Note 2
thanks a lot
First a request: please edit your post title to not look like a prodct name. (See the section guidelines sticky post.)
Secondly, can you give some more information on what you are doing? Perhaps some details on what you are editing, etc. (Currently, your post looks like you want someone to make mods for you... I don't think that's your intention, which is why I'm suggesting that you give more technical detail.)

Sorry, changed the title.
I have already made the following edits...
1. Changed the notification bar background to pitch black from grey.
2. Removed battery percentage symbol (only symbol)
3. Changed toggle button background to pitch black (from blue so now they look much better)
I'm lost on the section of adding airplane mode/ flash light mode.
If anyone has done that please give me a heads up on how to acomplish as I'm totoally clueless on where to begin. I have done loads of modding to SystemUI.apk but kinds lost in this area.
I can share the apks, I dont want anyone to make any mods but give me an idea on what to do...
Thanks...

have you try trace the quickpanel xml?
I'm not sure your level of development experience, but are you aware that adding new functionality to the toggles is a VERY different task than changing some colors or graphics?
Most of the mods I've seen that do this actually bring in a separate apk file for the toggle bar, and then modify the systemui smali to use that alternative toggle bar. One of the most common (at least from what I've seen) to be added to TW is Lidroid's quickpanelsettings (see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289896)
Gary
Well this gives me the opportunity to remind everyone that lidroid isnt the origin of this mod.. actually team obssession were the first to introduce it and we werent using any specific apps nor ressource files for this and tsm (team sbrissen mod) were the first to use an app to manage these toggles that was then re-used / re compiled by lidroid...
@op I suggest you have a look a jkay ' s systemui last I checked he was using a systemui that didn't require external resources so you can add only the specific one you need on your xml and the relevant ones in smali side and of course the resources its looking for...
Hope that helps

I wish this was a product already, cause I miss the exact same functionality and the animation annoyed me right from the start.
Any updates on this??

This guide will get you the wanam toggles with the settings app for these toggles. It gives you a choice upto 23 toggles which you can reorder, delete, whatever! Also if you can do this mod then you will be able to incorporate that app into settings very easily. Just search how to add app to settings on google.
Hope if works out for you and don't forget to thank wanam!

[Q] What MODS are there?

How do I know what MODS I want if I do not know what MODS there are?
I have been reading around and there seem to be a lot of MODS that people reference, but I have no clue what they may be. I also do not know if the MODS are all TW/AOSP specific. I understand some will only work on TW ROMS like using the Note II keyboard. But others I am not sure on.Will they only work on certain ROMS so you can not flash or install them on others. What about Other Carriers? Can mods in the T-Mobile section work here?
Is there a list of MODS out there and what they do? (Searching for MOD is a little bit of a lost cause)
Some examples I am not even sure are MODS or not
Volume hack - to increase the overall volume on the phone (forget where I saw this one)
LED Notification modifications - in the AOSP roms a lot have a setting to allow to change the LED notification (color and flash rate) per app.
Dialer search matches numbers in contacts and call logs along with contacts (from Omega ROM in international S3)
Then, how do you know if the MOD you find is one you can use? The one that comes to mind is the Long Volume Press to skip. I have seen where this works sometimes but not others. I know, a lot of questions, but I am just not clear on what mods affect which files and how they each affect each other.
So if people could tel me what MODSs they are aware of and what they do that would be great. I would even start to search for more if I had a clue how to answer some of the questions above. I would be willing to compile the list if that would help too.
Thanks
Walt.

If you go to each ROM thread the devs list what mods and tweaks are in the ROM. They even give you a link to the mods/tweaks, There are too many mods to compile a list for and by the time I finish this post there will be 20 more created.

But that is not true. I went into the first rom link in the android development section and this is a small section of what was listed under features.
*Clock alingment toggle*
*am/pm size toggle*
*day of the week toggle*
*longpress to skip tracks toggle*
*keyboard switcher toggle*
*battery icon picker toggle*
*MIUI Battery Bar Toggle*
*Re-Themed To be JB Aosp Looking*
Now there are no links to any of these. And are they actually a mod that anyone can use? Something rom specific? This all goes back to a lot of my other questions.

Those would already be in the rom, that's why they're listed like that in the rom's OP.
Mods are typically posted in the themes & apps section. Whatever mod you want, if its not included in the rom you're using, you should take a look there. For instance, there are a couple volume mods in the theme & app section. For the per app LED colors, you could use Light Flow if you want to adjust this regardless of AOSP or TW since often times you can't adjust LED colors for TW roms. Depending on what you're looking for, you could find the mod in the section I mentioned, if its not included in the rom you want to use.
The links are usually names of the devs the ROM creators thanked. Not all of them do that. For example if you go to the Plasma VI thread the creator made some names linkable.

Paranoid Settings in Moto G?

Hi guys, my Moto G not appear the customization of paranoid settings, wanted to know how do I enable, because I want to decrease the height of navigation that is too large
Oh please someone close this thread.
Ignore the posts above post as it adds nothing constructive to the thread. This question belongs in the Moto G Q&A sub-forum, but I'll help you out here. If I recall correctly Paranoid Android follows the design of the Android Open Source Project; limited in customization in comparison to other popular third-party ROMs. You'll need to download Xposed framework, which you can get here. "http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v32_de4f0d.apk" Install the framework and reboot, then install the gravity box module from within the Xposed application and reboot. You'll then be able to customize the Android interface to your liking with respect to the limitations of the gravity box module. Go to "Navigation bar tweaks" Enable the "Master switch," check the "enable navigation bar" check box and reboot. After that go back to Gravity Box and under navigation bar tweaks scroll down to dimensions and modify the size of the navigation bar. Hope this helps.
P.S. This also works with the stock ROM, so in case you go back to stock 4.4.4 you'll be able to modify the navigation bar. If you end up upgrading to Lollipop in the future Xposed nor its modules will not work.

Noob UI question?

Reading in a Custom MM ROM Development thread where I can't yet post questions or comments, the OP disabled "quick pull down menus" in the latest build - to the jeers & cheers of alpha downloaders. What are quick pull down menus?

if you havent seen it, its when you double pull down the notification bar and there are some quick toggles to turn on wifi bluetooth and other things. i would guess he didnt fully remove it, (i could be wrong) but just removed the option to quick pull it down. you can set the rom to pull down the not bar on the right/left and expand this panel directly. so basically one side pulls the panel, and the other side pulls notifications. usually devs make this so it can be turned on or off, not locked on.
Thanks for the clarifying explanation bweN diorD. You should make a palindrome of your user ID. `

Request - feature addition to this open-source app

https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-reachability-cursor-phone-t3846525
Please see above thread. I've reached out to this developer via email, via Play Store review, via reply to his original thread here, AND via PM here.
He seems to have completely fallen off the radar since this time last year.
I love his app, but I just have one request - to be able to adjust the opacity of both the cursor and the tracker (especially the tracker). All the way down to completely transparent (invisible) if desired. They are currently only solid colors with 100% opacity.
Also an option to allow the keyboard to take precedence, because I keep accidentally activating the cursor while swipe typing.
His app is open source (if you download it and go in to the "about" section, he links it there), are any developers able to accomplish this and make an apk? I have paid for the pro version from the dev. I can't find anything like this in the Play Store that is as simple and fluid. I want to keep THIS app, but I just want to be able to make the tracker pad invisible on my screen.
I just record my screen a lot and the tracker being opaque is pretty unsightly. In my recordings I'd like people to only be able to see the actual cursor portion moving around, not the big blob where my thumb is controlling it. When using normally, it's beneath your thumb anyway, so no real reason to have it be visible. Or at least let me turn down the opacity to barely visible, and see-through (with the option to make it 100% transparent and invisible if desired).
Can anyone assist with this?
