HELP-IMEI recovery for GT-i9003 - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
My IMEI number is lost. so i can't access any network.
Model: Samsung Galaxy SL GT-i9003
I tried a factory reset- shows failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)
I don't have any efs folder backup.
So i flashed new ROM
I downloaded-I9003XXKB3 and latona_20110114.pit
I flashed these files using Odin.
and done a factory reset.
But it remains same
IMEI:unknown
Then i tried ADB and super one click for rooting.
Without any backup of efs/nv_data.bin its not working, may be i have done wrong steps.
Please help to solve this problem.
If anyone has any other solution or option to repair or recover my imei number, plz help me.

Try a reflash. Usually if after a few reboots it doesnt go away I reflash and it'll be solved.
Cheers

flashing = odin. You use odin to "FLASH" your firmware(xxxKPQ/xxxKPE) on to your phone. Do a factory reset after flashing
i already do it Y_Y
do i need to put
PIT
BOOTLOADER
PDA
PHONE
CSS
AND CHECK THE
RE-PARTITION, AUTO REBOOT F. RESET TIME
????
I already do this Y_Y do i need to remove my sim???
Remove ur sim, sd card, then flash only the PIT file first, then restart phone, now flash the pda, csc, phone, modem files together, wipe cache, wipe dalvich cache, then reboot !
If still ur the sim ain't recognized then chek the imei & see if ur phone shows if not then ur best bet is Samsung service centre.
Tell them keis messed up while upgrading! They'll buy it!
Best of luck!

Yes it will turn black. Then take out your USB, and battery, put the battery back in and boot into download mode and flash. After flashing boot into recovery and factory reset and wipe cache and dalvik cache

@android crazy i think ur correct and i think my efs is empty.
I flashed my phone to XXKPE and my imei lost then i went to service center they only corrected my phone to DXKP9 and they said they can't solve the imei and so on. after that i went to a technician and he said he can rewrite imei but first he will flash it back to my original fw.
what do you think will i go to another service center or to that technician??
i don't want to flash it again coz im scared of totally bricking it. Y_Y Y_Y

Let me try to help!
Assuming that you can boot into and use your phone
1) Download and instal Nitrality.
2) Ask someone to give a dump of their /efs partition. (I am on phone )
3) Remove NV_data.bin from dump.
4) Place this dump in 'Backup' in Nitrality folder in sdcard.
4) Restore efs through Nitrality.
5) Reboot.
Just trying to help
yes
thanks i will try this later hope it will work

[Q] E:failed to mount data (Invalid Argument) Samsung galaxy sl

Hello guys. Need an urgent help. My galaxy sl( i9003) screwed up. Below are the steps what caused it:
1. I was in value pack(DDLF2). with root access using cwm.(stock rom)
2. Then i flashed cm10 alpha 4. It was too unstable and i was facing lots of issues. Not able to copy files in my internal sd card. The files get copied but it gets automatically deleted when i remove the usb cable.
3. So i deiced to go back to stock rom.
4. Flashed xxkpe using odin from samfirmwire. Selected re-partion using latona pit and other standard files. Everything took place successfully.
5. Now phone is in boot loop and when i am in recovery mod it shows (E:failed to mount data (Invalid Argument))
Please help ?

[Q] HELP!! GT-i9100M STUCK IN SAMSUNG SCREEN

Hello!! This is my first post and I was hoping someone will help me. I have a GT-i9100M locked to bell that wont boot. It gets stuck on the SAMSUNG splash screen. I am able to boot into recovery and download mode. But every time i boot into recovery mode i get the following error
#MANUAL MODE #
--Applying Multi-CSC...
E: failed to mount /system (invalid Argument)
can't mount '/system' (invalid Argument)
E: failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
Im assuming my /system partition got corrupted. After doing lots of research, I have have tried to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and re-install the firmware through Odin but didnt have any luck. One thing i should mention, is that Odin doesnt show me that my device is connected. Should i attempt to reinstall a new ROM with a bootloader? Im completely lost. If anyone got any idea what i could do to revive my phone. Ill greatly appreciated.
