I know it's only for devs and not flashable but just wondering if we can flash this firmware like we normally flash a firmware in RUU Mode?
I see that this firmware updates touch panel drivers too, so maybe there is a possibility to loose touch after flashing it, unless we are running a 2.24 based rom of course

No one should be rushing in to flash this yet. The rom is a dump form a slightly different variant of the international htc one, we don't yet know what is and isn't safe. @baadnewz only provided it so that other devs can utilise the files it's not a 'here it is flash it now' thread.

its still based of cm, im not sure if aosp source is public yet, and you should be able to just wipe cache if the other dev used cm source

If I want to convert my device to a dev editon (I'm using Verizon M8 on T-Mobile) do I still have to flash this recovery after s-off and super Cid? Or will the International twrp work?

U will need to do a number of things. Including the 2 steps u mentioned.

Stock Sense is too smooth and attractive to want to flash anything else, in my opinion... But it's good that there is a recovery for our M8. Now we just need some roms.
