[Q] Viewing background copy instance in Astro File Manager - General Questions and Answers

I'm using Astro to copy some files and I accidentally hit "Background". I have an active notification saying the copy process is still going but when I select the notification, the app comes back up but doesn't show the copy process.
Is there a setting I have to change or somewhere I have to select to bring it back or what?

How to keep folders/images from showing in gallery???

Music folders album art shows up as well as some other stuff. For example, some apps keep a folder on the sdcard for thumbs etc. I tried copying a .nomedia file from one folder to another and that didn't work. Anyone know?

Any folder that you don't want to show up in gallery just put a generic file in there named ".nomedia".
Well on Supreme Sense v8, all you have to do is hit menu then the show/hide option and you can select what folders are to stay visible and which ones are to be hidden.

I only use sense when I need to use ## codes. It's just not my preferred flavor.

Did you go into the app called dev tools afterward and run the media scanner? The phone doesn't scan everything immediately and if you force a rescan it will refresh your gallery. This is what I do in cyanogenmod anyway. Rebooting the phone would probably do the same thing.

[Q] Question Regarding File Managers

Could anyone let me know if, when you put several apps into one one folder on your homescreen - say all your games into a single folder, is this folder then saved as a file in the device's storage and can it then be located on Astro File Manager or any file managers? And if so where is the folder located?
Thanks for any help in advance,
Kev
Whatever launcher you are using will store this information, either way in a shared_pref xml or more likely am sqlite database file. For instance, on CM10.1, which uses trebuchet as the default launcher, it's in /data/data/com...trebuchet/databases/launcher.db
Not super accessible, but yes it is "saved" somewhere on your device, but really this is just a list of the apps you placed in your home screen folder, not a folder of apps in the conventional sense.

Thanks for the help. Would you have any idea where it would be located if I'm using AOKP and Nova Launcher? Basically all I'm trying to do is to create a new homescreen icon using Desktop Visualizer to open my app folders. I've seen ways to do it using other apps such as Simi folder but I'd prefer to have the stock Android interface when you open the folder. I've noticed with Desktop Visualizer, when selecting what to launch, you can open something from the file manager and so I'm hoping I can use this as a way to open my App folders - if I can locate them.
Any other ideas are very welcome! Thanks again

Sound file location for ringtones/notifications

Hello quick question. I've been trying to figure why the notification sound I downloaded off zedge app does not stay set. Im using CM12.1
I have set it using the zedge app, I have set it using media storage or explorer app. On internal storage I created a notification folder which allows it to show up in list of sounds to set it. It may use the sound once or twice but then nothing, no sound.
Does anybody know what else can be done? Thank you

Using file manager..I use root browser..
Try and place the file in system/media/audio/notifications
That would be my best guess anyway
