My dock had worked fine when i initiallygot my tablet, however the docked tablet now only charges to 93 percent. Looking at the battery app it shows that the tablet charges and discharges around the 93% figure. I initially thought this was due to the fact that the battery in the tablet was getting older or needed calibrating. Plugging just the tablet on to the charger allows the tablet to become fully charged. Any ideas ?

Dock will only charge tablet up to 90%

At my tablet, I haven't reported that behavior. The dock charges all the time up to 100 percent.
With dual battery widget, I'm monitoring the batteries. Do you use any similar tool to report the battery stats? Do you use any mod?
my dock also charges it up to 100!

Anyone experience this?
I'm playing pocket empires while the phone is plugged in and my battery is still discharging.

Are you plugged into USB on your computer or AC?
If you are using more power than what is going in, of course this will happen!
The AC adapter provides the most charge.
Duh you are using the device so of course it is going to discharge..........

I can't see the notification bar while playing the game but I made sure that it was charging by turning off the screen and turning it back onto the lock screen which shows that it is charging.
Mine never discharges when playing Pocket Legends but it charges very slowly when using the stock charger which is normal. Now, when I am at work or something I have a AC charger I use that came with my Logitech Wireless Mouse that is obviously more powerful than the stock charger. It can charge my battery from 15% to 100% in about 30 minutes. My advice to you would be to buy a charger with a higher rating.
Are you using the charger that came with the phone or a third-party charger? If using the charger LG provided nothing you do on that phone should drain that battery while plugged in because it outputs 1000mA of power.
If you are using the LG charger you may have a faulty charger or a faulty battery.
Could you install something like Battery Monitor Widget and check the current drain (mA) while you are playing the game?
(It is made by "3C06" and the free one is fine because I think the only difference in the paid one is no ads.)
EDIT: Also, the most I have managed to pull with my G2x is 756mA, but if you have the screen at a high brightness and are using the speaker, and if the game is using 100% of your CPU, it would probably be possible to use more than 1000mA.
EDIT2: Also, the Service Manual says "maximum charging current is set around 945mA."
So I think any usage above that number will drain your battery even when plugged in. But I am not certain.
New tf700 is in transit right now, but I have a question I haven't been able to find an answer to yet...
If you plug the charger into the keyboard dock, you will obviously charge the dock battery. And the same for the infinity itself. But if you plug the charger into the dock and then attach the infinity to the dock, will it charge both the infinity and the dock?
Yes it'll charge both. Idk if its both at the same time or the dock then the tab but it does charge both.

If your docked, it will charge both the keyboard dock and the tablet the same time.

Yep, but @OP keep in mind that it does not DISCHARGE at the same time. When using the Infinity + Dock, it switches the powere source. Noone has written an app to change this (IDK if its too low level either). Makes more sense to deplete the dock when plugged in, and then rely on the tablet later. I understand what they are getting at (their way helps a lot if you use them both together a lot) but they should give the option to choose.

So, if it's not plugged in, which power gets used first? The keyboard or the tablet?

Dock discharges first. Don't know why anyone would want to change that method of charging. Even though I take the dock everywhere with me, I sometimes remove it so I can use the tablet only because it's handier that way.

The keyboard actually charges the tablet when it's not plugged in.

I dont think so. I notice BOTH batteries depleting when I have it on the dock.

If makes sense if you only use your tablet a lot more than your dock. When plugged in you would want to conserve as much battery in the tablet as possible so the "charging method" is to use the dock only when connected. or charge the table, effectively making the dock's battery a refill, not a supplement. If you use them both together, it makes sense to alternate. It just depends on usage patterns.
Thanks

I don't know what you are seeing, but when I have the tablet docked and not plugged into the charger the tablet charges and the keyboard dock is depleted. I took a screen shot to show you what I'm seeing. It's plain as day that the keyboard is charging the tablet. Of course now the screen shot won't upload.... I'll try an edit after I post.

The tablet will drain first to ~70%, then the keyboard dock will charge the tablet back to ~90% this will continue in a loop until the dock is drained and report back as 0% battery left on dock.
The reason your seeing keyboard being drained is because lithium-ion battery overtime will slowly drain ~1% probably couple hours or so.

It's not quite that simple. First, I've had my dock show 0% and blinking orange on the LED, indicating I should charge it. I still used it actively for almost a day, including the USB port from time to time. So either the tablet is then powering the dock's keyboard and ports, or the dock battery has a "reserve" battery capacity for internal use (e.g. only the dock).
It's slightly annoying seeing that 0% and blinking ("OMG, CHARGE MEEE") yet I can still use the dock without any issues.
I'd just like to see some settings/configuration parameters for dock usage. First, I don't want it to complain about 0% battery until it's actually getting low. It could just say it's not charging the tablet anymore, and keep the warning lights for when the dock's actually nearing empty.
Also, while Li-Ion batteries discharge over time because of the internal resistance, we're not talking 1% every couple of hours. You have a defective battery in that case, or a very old one.
The self-discharge of the lithium-ion battery is 5% in the first 24 hours after charge, and then reduces to 1% to 2% per month thereafter. The safety circuit adds about 3%. High cycle count and aging have little effect on the self-discharge of lithium-based batteries. A lead-acid battery self-discharges at only 5% per month or 50% per year. Repeated deep cycling increases self-discharge.

Tablet discharges to about 70% +/- and then the dock charges the tablet until the dock is completely discharged, then the tablet discahrges again.
When I have the tablet shut off it shows 100% charge, and I turn it on and it shows 0% and the red X over the battery. A couple days ago I was charging it and it took about 10 hours just to get 15-20% battery. So I just decided to let it run dead and re-charge it tonight and now its not even wanting to charge (as of this post).
Has anyone else's had this problem or know why this is happening? Thanks.
Battery will show an x if 1) you are charging from a PC 2) Your charger is not working properly
Since you are saying that it started charging very slowly, then i suggest you buy a new charger.
Hope this helps.

I was having charging issues a couple of months ago, similar to you. Sent tablet back to Samsung and they determined that I had a faulty charger. Samsung replaced it, and it charges fine now. Only use the genuine Samsung charger, not any aftermarket chargers.

I sent my tablet to Samsung and they determined it was my battery. They replaced it and all is fine now.
today i noticed that my tablet wasn't charging when the dock was attached (tried reattatching rebooting nothing helps) my tablet is currently on 71 and the dock on 99 right now i am typing on the keyboard! everything works except charging can somebody clear this out? is there a specific level the tablet starts charging?
when i plug in the charger to the dock the tablet charges fine but the dock battery LED is not blinking!
thanks,

your 1% too high mate lol the dock will only kick in after the tablet drops below 70% mate
LOL! i have this tablet for more then a month and i didn't know that! BUT every widget i use says it is charging and the battery meter is rising! BUT android is not saying it is charging!
EDIT: when i enable always show battery percentage: it shows DIScharging on the lockscreen! (BTW: running aokp)
EDIT2: in the battery section in the settings app it says: 75 - charging! but the lockscreen doesn't so i guess it's just an AOKP bug i just noticed
EDIT3: currently i have a charger plugged in into the dock (in a car) it's around 12V and nothing happens! the tablet still charges trough the dock do! so i assume it is not a hardware issue but it is just not enough power!
EDIT4: now i know the car doesn't give enough power because: the tablet/dock alone doesn't charge!
So in the end: there is nothing wrong with my tablet! i can be really stupid sometimes i really love this tablet and i am afraid something will hapen to it!

I am currently using now the ZeroLemon 7500mah. I have the Samsung USB component plugged into the wall, then a USB extension cord, then the actual Samsung cord. When I have the phone on and plugged in, in the stock battery the phone still charges when I use the phone while plugged in. I noticed the ZeroLemon 7500mah battery actually depleting while plugged in while being used.
Does this happen to anyone else ? Just making sure it is not a battery issue.
It charges when I leave it alone, but when I am playing with it plugged in it is using power.
Never happened on mine.
Just charging slower when being used.

Likewise. Never depletes just slower to charge when being used. And I'm talking watching films which have a lot of drain. Sounds like either a battery or charger issue. If you have another charger give it a try and if the issue continues I'd get them to send you a new battery.
