do i need this for keeping my root or updating my stock rom ota ? because i can just root it again its no big deal

i just want to make sure i can update with my root present, and wont eno****er any brick issues, i got an update notificitaion even though im rooted, does this mean it will update normally ?

The app is for keeping the root...and it will temporary disable root for the update process... I tested it on many devices

Most practical way of Unroot is to install new firmware for your phone.
pls open your phone on download mod and install original stok firmware.

Me too waiting for answer for this....
Hello friends. I have the answer for you. It is simple . If you have 4.0.4 stock rooted . Just install voodoo ota root keeper from play store, backup your root. Then install the update zip . Once booted go to ota rootkeeper and click 'restore . I have jb rooted myself using this method. You're wellcome.

Just flash Simple-Root-1.0.zip and Superuser-3.2-RC2-arm-signed.zip from CWM and you should have no problems.
(Search google or the forum for these)

Getting OTA updates after Rooting

Well, this is My 1st post around
I got N8013 that have been rooted with CWM and flashed the rom with 4.1.1 Jellybean , since then I cant get the OTA updates
and the device is lagging wihile typing on S-NOTE app
any Suggest how to recover the tap to original statue to get OTA updates ? that may fix the S-Note problem
You could try 're-flashing' using Odin with the stock firmware downloaded from Samfirmware.
You might have to do a factory reset as well.
There is no OTA update available yet for the N8013

You will not get any OTA bec you have flashed a rom that does not belongs to your region so that wont work
No JB update for 8013 so just stick to what u are on and when the update is out just install that and your ota will start working
I have the update available on a stock 4.0.4 android gt n8013.
Had rooted through exynos without using the patch.
Device status is 'normal'. Can i just do OTA?

Deborah
