Hey guys, sorry to have to post here, but the forum won't let me post to the actual ROM thread because it is in the development forum.
I installed AR 8.0 on my new 8013 and it seemed to be running very well. Then I went to transfer some files to it from my computer. When connected to the computer over USB, it soft reboots every 10 seconds or so. Even before opening any apps or trying to do anything on it. Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
I installed the ROM with a data wipe and didn't restore anything through Titanium Backup or anything like that. I would greatly appreciate any help with this! Thank you!
hmm, I installed the CP that was just released and it seems to have corrected the issue. Were the cell phone services causing a problem?
ironically, now that the problem is corrected, I find that doubletwist cannot communicate with Samsung Notes because of their connection method... :silly:

hi everyone,
I installed tiamat 2.2.1 some days ago & I'm happy with everything.
on the first boot everything was going good & I successfully restored all my apps from my backup with my account.
after that whenever I try to download or update anything from market it doesn't work & it keeps me waiting in the first step "starting download".
I tried everything anyone could ever imagine to get it work, but still nothing.
can anyone help me with fixing the problem?
I really appreciate if someone can help me with it

I hate this and have the same problem, it works eventually if I keep trying, but it is very annoying.

What version of market do you have? The newest version seems to work much better.

good to ask
I tried both 3.1.6 & the older version, to try to download, but at all the time & conditions I'm getting the same reaction.
I'm guessing something else from the kernel is causing it, but since I'm not a pro in it, I can't say anything.
(the only time I can download without any issue is the first boot after a factory reset)
P.S I've been in touch with android market team for one week everyday. & still no one knows what exactly is causing it. so I though I post the issue in here, maybe we can find the problem that is causing this issue.
I tried the new market, hated it and reverted back...I can eventually get my downloads to work but only by repeatedly attempting to download them
if you face this problem and it keeps saying starting download and stuck there just hit my apps and scroll all the way down you will find that app waiting there at the end, just touch it and hit install and it will display the accept or cancel window just accept and it will star right away, i know it really annoys me too
I don't think this is at all related to Tiamat. I have a stock Evo that has the same issue. Just yesterday I had 4 or 5 apps stuck in the "downloading" state. I had good signal strength on 4G the entire time and verified that I could surf, but still they sat there. I went through and cancelled each download and then hit each app separately to update and they all worked.
I see
so if the problem is not only for xoom, then maybe we can say market team couldn't do its best.
does anyone know any solution than keep trying to download?? cause right now even that, doesn't work for me anymore...
ow & also, do you guys know if we can open a thread somewhere officially, so market team can find out the source of problem?
Hello
I installed [ROM][JB][STABLE] CyanogenMod 10 ♦ B2 a few days ago, before this everything was normal.
After installing the new CM10 rom i couldn't turn on wifi. I figured it was the rom so i restored an older version of android that i new worked
the wai it should. To my surprise i still have the same problem. I wiped the device and rebootet, same problem.
The device tries to turn on wifi but it stickes to the turning on message and nothing happens. I'm starting to think its hardware related.
Any ideas?
-EDIT-
Something new.
I also noticed that i can't access any files on the device. When i open a filemanager it says "forlder empty"
Also if i go to storage under settings it just closes and goes back to the homescreen. I can access the internal storage through ADB.
I am guessing this is related to my wifi problem.
Thanks
Xenodwarf.

When ever I have gotten my TF101 into a situation such as this, I go back to "Easy Flasher"(see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012 ) and put it back to square one. Then I can start my tinkering from there.
That would rule out any possible hardware problems
Edit: Oh. And I'm running the RaymanFX CM10 B2 that you tried, and wifi works fine for me. As well as storage access.

Hello, I have a problem with the Samsung Galaxy S4 for Sprint.
I just flashed the ROM "iNTriNsiC" but I keep getting a message on every boot about "upgrading apps, starting apps".
I read on the thread that it was a problem caused when you're not on MF9, but I am fully on MF9 and it still showing that. My software version say L720VPUAMF9 and the baseband says L720VPUAMF9 but I still get the message. I would post on the thread itself but I need 10 posts -,-
I also read around and saw it might be caused by titanium backup, but I don't have titanium backup installed. I also deleted any titanium backup folders I had on my SD or phone from when I installed it one time, and also from data.
But the problem still persist. If anyone knows how to solve this I would appreciate it.
EDIT - I have reached 10 posts by borderline spamming and posted in the ROM's thread, but if you have any tips im still open for suggestions. Otherwise, hopefully the ROM owner will be able to solve this.

Hey guys! This is my first time on the boards and of course, I'm in need of some big help. As of now, as the title states, I currently lack sim card functionality. Unfortunately, I believe this is in many ways is my fault as I was deleting some bloatware off my phone... the three that I deleted was the stock internet explorer, a T-Mobile application (forgot the name) and an app called "talk" all of which came on the phone. Everything was fine up until I restarted the phone. My phone is rooted. My backup failed, so I'm in the process of downloading the stock ROM, will that help? any info is appreciated at this point. Anyone has any idea on how to go about this?

Don't use toolkits.
Bootloop
So I followed all of the instructions up to and including "Unlocking", and now it's stuck with the little android updating video with the "Android" and the 4D rotating thing in it's belly.
I've read that it can take "longer than expected" but it's been around 12 hours.
Anything I can do? Don't fancy having a brick.

How about shutting it down, loading fastboot and re-installing 5.0?
Can this be done using the toolkit? Or should I be scanning the forums for another way to do this?
I've done a few searches but I'm stabbing in the dark so can't refine my search to find the threads I need...
Also, if the info helps I was unlocking for 4.4.4 to be able to flash a stock image. I haven't loaded a new ROM on the phone yet. Haven't even got a custom recovery. Have only unlocked - the toolkit said it worked and the nothing.
EDIT - just saw the CMD button in the advanced settings.
So I've gone into fastboot to try and wipe the cache to start again and it keeps stalling on erasing the data...
Which is what it also stalled on after unlocking through the tool.
It's been going for about 20 minutes now.... Should it really be taking this long?

You know you could just use the 5.0 or 4.4.4 image to flash itself. If your drivers are OK, go into fastboot, connect the phone, unzip the image, and run flash-all.bat
This method was successful for me as other flashing tools failed. To see if the script is stuck, watch the very bottom of your phone screen. It should be saying what's happening just below the device info. For example, if the script is saying "sending xxx", the screen should be saying "downloading..." or if the script says "writing xxx" the screen should say "writing..." and when the script says "erasing xxx" the phone should say "erasing..."
After each command the script should say OKAY. If the script keeps waiting for a command to finish (let's say "erasing xxx") but the "erasing..." disappears from the bottom of the phone screen, that probably means that the script is stuck...
HOWEVER, the original script included in the official image NEVER had this problem for me, so it should be OK. Good luck!
BTW, I am suggesting this because this process AUTOMATICALLY wipes data from your phone. Which is what you were trying to do. If somehow it doesn't, when the device loads, do a wipe data/factory reset.
Problem updating NRT files
Hello.
Since Nexus Root Toolkit v. 1.8.0 I have problems in the start sequence (cheking for new files). I tried to disable my software firewall but the problem persists. In previous versions all was working fine.
Any solution? Thanks!

This is definitely a firewall issue. You're not disabling the firewall correctly. Maybe integrated firewall in antivirus programs like Symantec Endpoint?

I have the same firewall (Kerio 2.15) and antivirus (ESET NOD32 V6 without firewall) software before this issue. No changes in my system in this time, WinXP SP3 with all
patches. I tried to deactivate firewall and antivirus with no solution. The integrated XP firewall is disabled too.
Tomorrow I will try with and old version of NRT (previous to 1.8.0) to check if it works.

Well, since no-one reported such a problem and I can personally guarantee that the toolkit is working fine, it is an issue on your end. Can you try another computer with the latest version? Maybe your ISP doesn't allow connections with that server?
Big Thank you
I feel such a lame to have less than 10 posts, but I wanted to thank you WugFresh! Thank you very much, great job! Successfully flashed and rooted both n7 and n5 today, huray!

Used this toolkit to install Lollipop on my 32Gb Nexus yesterday morning with no problems at all. Very smooth operation. Phone has been working fine all day and still is. No real problems.
However, about an hour ago thought I would sit and have a root around in the settings to see what's new etc. and hit the storage option, which tells me I have total storage space of 12.65GB with 8.62GB available. Where did the rest go and how do I get it back? I suppose I have got to go back, wipe the phone and start all over again? I hope not.
Any advice please.

Please read here in the developer Google+ page. Seems to be the updater had some problems in past versions of the NRT:
https://plus.google.com/u/0/113329792100896065459/posts/FUohFJWJHzt
Now I've downloaded the new 1.9.6 version and the error is yet here. I've tried in my laptop (Windows7 with the same ESET NOD32 antivirus) and all works fine. I've made a backup of my XP computer, then uninstalled the Kerio firewall and the problem persists. I've recovered an old backup of my system (early 2014, when I purchased my Nexus5) and all works fine again with NRT version 1.8.0. If I don't update the main program at the request window, the updater works for the other related files (TRWP Recovery, SuperSU...).
Maybe the new updater has a problem only under Windows XP?
Thanks!

I was using 1.9.4 and everything was working just fine. I have already read about the updater fix in 1.9.6 but I didn't notice anything because there was nothing wrong in the first place with me. Keep in mind that 1.9.7 is out that has more fixes with the updater. Try it out to see if anything changes...
Same problem with 1.9.7
