there is no good or best rom on xda!!
every rom is best in its category !!
and according to your use the battery stats differs so no one can tell you which is best rom1!!
but still if talking about interface inspiration v10 is awesome
and the whisp s cm 10 is also good !!
you are free to flash all roms just try it byu yourself and then decide which suits your neeed!!

I like CyanogenMod 10.1 by whisp. Also i tried Inspiration rom v16, i like it but not more like CM because it have more functions include. My Samsung GT-S7500 have 6-7 hours of battery life(overclocked at 1267 MHz with smartassv2 governor).

My wife's phone is100% stock and still has small bugs, freezes, and other issues.. So a 100% stable jellybean is a myth.. Carbon tests faster than Gamerz, but isn't as smooth.. I am using Thinkingbridge and am nearly as fast as Carbon, but haven't had any bugs (yet).. The latest Devil kernel is fast and stable at stock speeds, but I find over volting it when over clocked is better than stock voltages (on my phone).. At stock voltage when over clocked I have had random reboots, but not when over volted... Marmite is also fast, but I haven't found a stable over clocking method for it.. Both deliver good battery life and performance on any compatible rom...

@Setting.Out so u recommend carbon and devil kernel? And about random reboots yes i got that alot on slim rom but gamerz rom not much so u know how to avoid that?

Don't use your Nexus S as if it's a Galaxy Nexus. It's a 2010 phone.

Each ROM is different and reboots are caused by tons of possibilities either kernel or ROM, and overclocking and using tweaks/mods only increase these possibilities...
I've tried Carbon but have had a couple bugs in previous builds.. I'm testing the latest Carbon and it feels nice and no issues thus far
Thinkingbridge is fast and stable and I had no bugs or other issues..
And yes, Devil is my favorite kernel..
Also if you use devil tools or similar app, you can overclock the devil kernel to a fairly stable 1512mhz (live oc 108%). Not recommended for long periods of use!

i mean what is better than gamerz rom and fast and stable FOR LONGGG USE like till key lime pie is out whats the most stable and fast rom and what kernel to use with is
try jellyshot with marmite. i have tried every rom and for me is the fastest and most stable rom
Jellyshot + marmite 7.3 is 100% stable but does not have many mods, carbon + marmite is very fast and has a lot of mods
I was just using the old 4.1.2 Hellybean with a current Devil kernel and the experience was very nice, stable and smooth.. the battery life was also quite good, averaging around 20 hrs with 5 hrs screen time!!

bottom of the page.. Enjoy
I tried countless ROMs, Kernels, Tweaks and Mods, and i have to say that im most satisfied with ThinkingBridge (SB4) and Devil Kernel (3.0.71) plus Final Script (3.1) from "The War Against Obscurity" thread posted by Setting.Out. Its clearly subjective; many people, many opinions. But you surely have to give it a shot!

Use Fly on mod or v6 supercharger...also why are you using 2.3.4?? Y not 2.3.6 which is much better in performance dude..use XWKTN the latest and stablest with Gloun kernel or call recording kernel by wilfred clement
I think juice defender ultimate isn't working anymore for most users. But I've experienced it for the 1st time a month ago & it "really" defended the drowning battery juice. Still using it & suggest the same for ya(for battery performance,obviously)...

First of all fly on mod works on a custom kernel only..and about stock rom i think u have unrooted phone and then again rooted it and then you tried to flash gloun kernel via stock recovery which is wrong..you need a rooted Stock rom and CWM!!! I use stock rooted rom at daily basis i use XWKTN latest german firmware with all language support..Gloun kernel most works only on deodexed stock rooted rom..

No it depends if you fancy nice looks and a considerably good performance then go with sungsonic. If you want max performance got to CM10.1.3.
This is because sungsonic is based on samsung Stock rom which is verry laggy. But CM10.1.3 doe not have any Ram eating bloat ware .
But if you want performance+customizability+good looks you can go with PAC rom or PA rom or Jelly bam or better of wait for Sensonic!:good:

[QUESTION] What ROM are you guys currently using?

I am curious what ROM you guys are using, I'm currently using Advanced 8 Port V2 but I can notice some lagging in some of the apps and games using Daishi's Afterburner Kernel v17.11.03.4. I would like to hear your suggestions on what can be stated as the most stable Nougat ROM or hell you can even suggest a Marshmallow ROM that would be the most stable for daily usage. Thanks!

Been using On8 V3 with Hyperion rom kernel.
No problems faced till now. It has best ever battery life among all 7.0 ROMs.
Before On8 V3, was using ExOS 2.5.
That Rom too had not a single problems or bugs.
Loved both ROMs. Both had similar battery life and screen on time.. you better try both until Stable 7.1.1 ROMs shows up in XDA

Also disable unnecessary system apps with link2sd app to get most out of ram memory. I did it and now have nearly 360 mb or more memory always.
Synexos lite v.1.1 ?
I'm using Advanced 8 Port V2 with stock kernel
Thanks for all the answers, I migrated to On8 and I can already see some FPS Improvements in games and overall system usage. Drop more feedback down below for other members in the forum to see what's best for them.

Flash it to boot. Backup Boot partition before flashing (to revert back if face problems)
Full backup is optional.

On8 v.1 up till now
Not moved to v.3 yet cause v.1 is already feed my need, smooth and fast.
Just random shut down when battery is almost drained up when the device is overheating.
Just need to add AllBlack theme overlay maybe to bring out the Amoled screen potential to max.
