So i decided to buy an android tablet so my first idea was the transformer infintity (tf700t) but lately it isn't sold in belgium anymore my dad phoned to a store this is what they said: "we don't sell this tablet anymore because this tablet is no longer made"
so i'll buy a tf300t it's not a big difference but i noticed this: the 32GB model is no longer sold either, the 16gb models are still sold!
can somebody tell me what is going on? is asus preparing for a new tablet? or are there some major flaws?
thanks,

It's still selling in the US is some stores.
And yes Asus has announced a new Transformer Pad Infinity tablet.
http://www.theverge.com/2013/6/3/43...sformer-pad-infinity-with-2560-x-1600-display
So you shouldn't buy the current Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) right now because it's outdated
( Asus hasn't announced the model number for the new one yet)
Accidentally tapatalked from my TF300

Which tablet accessories are you using?
I am looking for something for my new tablet.
Any suggestions?
I think the Asus eee pad transformer looks great!! Am definitely gonna get one when they are available in the UK again.
hello, im planning to buy a tablet really soon and im wondering if i should get the Asus eee pad transformer, asus eee pad transformer prime, or the blackberry playbook. The blackberry playbook will be on sale for 199$ tomorrow so its the cheapest option i got. As well the transformer prime is at the other end comming in at 499$ and it wont be avalible for me untill a couple of weeks from now. then there is the asus transformer which is at 399$ and is adequate but will be obsolete once the transformer prime is avalible in the comming weeks. thanks
Don't buy the Playbook if you're worried about obsolescence. It's already there.
Heck, go for the Prime if you can afford it. But realistically, most people probably don't need four processors, although I hear the Prime crushes everything in graphics performance.
I doubt the non-Prime Transformer will be obsolete anytime soon.

I'd go with the prime, at this moment its the only tablet of its kind and will be a pioneer in the development of the android tablet OS (you'll be getting the updates and new stuff first), its gonna be around a LOT longer than your other two choices up there, so as well as performance your also paying for its longevity
Hey guys, did anyone here upgrade from the transformer 101. I just purchased a tf101 and had no idea what so ever that they had 300t. Only after I made the purchase on amazon I checked back a few days later and they recommended the 300t to me. I was very upset lol. But anyway I just want to know if there is a visible performance difference in the two devices? I really like the new slicker look of the device but if performance is almost the same I can live with it for a while until I can get it sold and get upgraded to the 300t. Thanks for any replies.
The TF300 is faster and has much better build quality. I had the 101 when it first came out and returned it because it was such a POS.

LOL wow I hope its not that bad because I'm suppose to be getting it on friday. But if it sucks like you said I will definitely try my hardest to get it sold and upgrade to the 300t.
Maybe you can contact amazon and exchange it for a 300 , they have really good customer service. Just say you were unware of the new model......etc etc

Hello All,
I recently purchased my Asus TF300T. The only thing I regret is not buying the one with the keyboard dock. I live in the netherlands and I can buy the keyboard/dock for the tf101 and the prime. At this moment i cannot buy the keyboard dock for the tf300t. I contacted asus in the netherlands and they stated that this will not be sold seperately.
Then there is ebay, and i saw a separate keyboard dock for the TF300T in the us. (i'm not allowed to post links yet)
After following the thread about rooting I noticed there are different models.
There is a US model and a WW model. So I asked both ASUS and the seller at Ebay if the keyboard dock is interchangable.
The seller doesnt know and ASUS says they aren't.
Another dutch tablet specialist says that he is sure that a separate dock will be available in the near future. He says Asus wants to sell the combined package in the release fase of the TF300T.
So my question is, Do you think a keyboard will be available in the near future?
Someone experience with a WW model with a US keyboard?
Thanks in advance.
I am pretty sure that Asus will begin selling the keyboard dock on the aftermarket on some point, probably rather soon.
Couldn't you find anyone selling his ww keyboard on ebay? In some countrys, you can only buy the tablet WITH dock so far, and some people are selling...
My understanding is that the TF101 dock doesn't fit the TF300 properly. So my suggestion is to wait for availability there. Folks experience seems to be that the dock works well--you can check other posts in this forum.
Congratulations on your new tablet!

You're not getting my dock, fellow Dutchie!
I'd be careful witn international docks, it may be that they've messed with the voltages for the charging ports.
Ok thank you all for your replies.
I think I have to be patient until the dock will be sold separately in the Netherlands.
I can't imagine that they will break the tradition of selling these dock separately after a while.
So its my brother's birthday and he wants a tablet. He's been using my infinity when and likes it a lot. He doesn't game, just surfs the net and craigslist, youtube, ect. I saw the Tf300 at gamestop for $299 for the 32 gb version. Is this a good deal for this particular tablet or should I just grab a nexus 7 for him and call it a day...Any issues with this tablet so far?

I bought my 32gb tf300t at Office Depot the day after Black Friday for $299 and in my opinion, it was an AWESOME buy. I was going to get the Nexus 7 but decided against it and glad I did. I have rooted mine, installed a custom ROM & kernel and my tablet is getting better benchmarks that my buddy who has an Nexus 7. OH, let's not forget about the extra 3 inches on the display and extra storage compared to the N7. That makes a HUGE difference too. I'm buying the dock/keyboard for my Asus this evening. As far as I know, the only keyboard available for the Nexus is bluetooth.
I have personally seen and used the Nexus 7. I am very happy with my 10", 32gb Asus tf300t and if I had to make the decision knowing what I know now, I would choose it again over the N7.:good:

So I purchased the TF300T from Best Buy and got them to price match GameStop. GS has a no opened returns on anything, BB has a return opened/unopened till 1/24. I'm sure my brother will like it, but if there are any defects or what not, I rather go to BB. I have the Infinity 700T and love it myself so it'll be nice to get him something comparable instead of the N7. Thanks for the response BTW.

Glad I could help out.
I'm sure that he will like it. The TF300T is a very nice tablet. :good:
The normal retail price I'm not too sure if the tablet is worth it but I got mine 16gb for 282 delivered from groupon and thats a friggin great deal.
Especially when in the UK its over 680 dollars for 32gb
Its a 32gb tablet with a tegra 3 processor running jb. Yea, pretty great deal. That's 100 less than what my wife paid on fathers day of this year
