Hello All,
I recently purchased my Asus TF300T. The only thing I regret is not buying the one with the keyboard dock. I live in the netherlands and I can buy the keyboard/dock for the tf101 and the prime. At this moment i cannot buy the keyboard dock for the tf300t. I contacted asus in the netherlands and they stated that this will not be sold seperately.
Then there is ebay, and i saw a separate keyboard dock for the TF300T in the us. (i'm not allowed to post links yet)
After following the thread about rooting I noticed there are different models.
There is a US model and a WW model. So I asked both ASUS and the seller at Ebay if the keyboard dock is interchangable.
The seller doesnt know and ASUS says they aren't.
Another dutch tablet specialist says that he is sure that a separate dock will be available in the near future. He says Asus wants to sell the combined package in the release fase of the TF300T.
So my question is, Do you think a keyboard will be available in the near future?
Someone experience with a WW model with a US keyboard?
Thanks in advance.
I am pretty sure that Asus will begin selling the keyboard dock on the aftermarket on some point, probably rather soon.
Couldn't you find anyone selling his ww keyboard on ebay? In some countrys, you can only buy the tablet WITH dock so far, and some people are selling...
My understanding is that the TF101 dock doesn't fit the TF300 properly. So my suggestion is to wait for availability there. Folks experience seems to be that the dock works well--you can check other posts in this forum.
Congratulations on your new tablet!

You're not getting my dock, fellow Dutchie!
I'd be careful witn international docks, it may be that they've messed with the voltages for the charging ports.
Ok thank you all for your replies.
I think I have to be patient until the dock will be sold separately in the Netherlands.
I can't imagine that they will break the tradition of selling these dock separately after a while.

Which tablet accessories are you using?
I am looking for something for my new tablet.
Any suggestions?
I think the Asus eee pad transformer looks great!! Am definitely gonna get one when they are available in the UK again.
I have been waiting to get a tablet for a little while now and the transformer seems THE one (appart from the fact it sold out in only a night....) So i am only wondering if i should actually go and get it from ncix (i'm in canada) and save one tax, the thing is, they are all on backorder... So i were wondering what is the chance that A: asus release a bundle with the dock (definately gonna get the dock) B: a super tablet will release before asus can replenish their stock.... I have seen lenovo want to release a tablet but it seems a long time before it hit NA and didn't made an impression on me (and will probably be 100$ more). Also, does the new tegra 3 (kal-el?) are coming soon or will i actually have plenty of time before it get on the market?
Thanks! and sorry if i just shoot questions after questions....
when its got to do with tech the best advice i can give you is, if you see something that interests you and the price is ok with you, then buy it. there's always going to be something better around the corner, and something else that's about to get cheaper... if you wait... you'll wait forever.

Ok think that just got the kal-el out of the way... now the bundle.... is there any word or was it just speculations?
If you buy the transformer dock it will be good with future transformer tabs according to Asus.

Thanks, think the best thing is actually wait for the docks to at least be available somewhere then maybe... Guess since then all the problems should be fixed
Hey there!
Does anyone know where I can find screen protectors, cases etc. for TF700 in Spain? Kinda desperate here, ´cause many accessories I have found in Amazon.com are not shipped to Spain.
Any help highly appreciated:angel:
Have you tried amazon.de or amazon.co.uk?

Actually, yes, I did last night. Since the tablet will soon arrive, I ordered a case and a screen protector at Amazon UK as the fastest option. But I have no idea of their quality. So fingers crossed
Thanks anyway

Have you found anywhere that you can buy a dock with a Spanish keyboard (with ñ)? I've looked all over with no luck. An Asus rep on Youtube said that I could get one on Amazon, but I don't think that he understood that the keyboard configuration on a Spanish keyboard is different than an English keyboard.
Oh and it sounds like the TF700 should be available in Latin America around Christmas. So maybe then they will have Spanish docks in stock.
Did you tried to Aliexpress or Ebay? There are many cases and other accessories
Well ASUS.. kiss my hiney
My dear TF700F broke in the screen by the cause of the dock. was about to open it with the dock when i heard a crackling sound...well off to repair.
Got a CID (customer induced damage) and now i have to pay for a new screen and i even have to wait till the end of september till Theres spare parts here i europe...
when i get it back it will be sold...
just my 2 seconds of wommit..
Well thats ****ty but if you live in Europe I am pretty shure that you have a right for a free replacement.
Under European consumer law if a sold product is not fit for the intended use you have a right to get a free replacement/ repair or your money back.
If you actually just opened it normally thats just normal intended use for me and the place where the crack is should support your story.
You can contact the place where you bought the tablet (the vendor not asus the manufacturer) tell them the story and give them a reasonable (~ 2-3 weeks) timelimit for a replacement device.
If they do not send you a replacement within that timeframe you can ask for your money back.
Thats what I would do/try at least.
why is this in the development section?

guess he is just keeping us up to date on "breaking" "developments". see what I did there?
¯\(°_O)/¯
Wow - this is at least the second such incident of a cracked screen that I've heard of that was caused simply by opening the docked tablet... Not a good sign...
Just curious - did you have the dock labeled TF201 on the box or the dock labeled for the TF700 on the box?
Not that it should matter, but that's the next thing that Asus will say - "We told you that the TF201 dock wasn't compatible!"

here is development forum, why do you "develop" the new screen device by yourself instead of purchasing new one?

So i decided to buy an android tablet so my first idea was the transformer infintity (tf700t) but lately it isn't sold in belgium anymore my dad phoned to a store this is what they said: "we don't sell this tablet anymore because this tablet is no longer made"
so i'll buy a tf300t it's not a big difference but i noticed this: the 32GB model is no longer sold either, the 16gb models are still sold!
can somebody tell me what is going on? is asus preparing for a new tablet? or are there some major flaws?
thanks,

It's still selling in the US is some stores.
And yes Asus has announced a new Transformer Pad Infinity tablet.
http://www.theverge.com/2013/6/3/43...sformer-pad-infinity-with-2560-x-1600-display
So you shouldn't buy the current Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) right now because it's outdated
( Asus hasn't announced the model number for the new one yet)
