We have seen it in the leaks before, but now here it is!
The UI has been modified!
Probably this is the android 4.3 camera.
Tested by me on Motorola atrix2 running 4.2.2 MoKee ROM and on galaxy note on stock 4.1 !
Atrix2 doesn't have gyroscope, so no photosphere .
Photosphere works on note. Reported by others to be working on ICS and 4.1 and 4.2!
Installation:
Just install it Like any other app.
NOTE :
1. If you have the 4.2 camera already, then you might have to remove that for this to be installed .
To remove the old camera, go to system/app and delete Gallery2.apk
And install this afterwards.
Keep a backup of old one if you want.
2. For photosphere to work, gyroscope should be present . If it's not built into your phone, photosphere won't work.( The option of photosphere won't be available at all ). All other features will work except that one.
To check if your phone has gyroscope, look at specs sheet of your phone in gsmarena or verify using antutu benchmark app. Go to device info in that app and then scroll down to sensors.
If photosphere doesn't work even if you have gyroscope, try clearing data for camera , or if you still haven't removed the old Google camera , try after removing it.
If nothing works, and you come up with your own solution, do post it here. It'll help others.
3. Making it system app with permissions might work too.
4. If you want to remove this , just uninstall either camera or the gallery app.

Yeah. As said above, it should work.
But if you have to delete the Gallery2.apk from system, you need root.
And anyone tried installing on lower versions of android? Does it work?

Nope. Carbon has 4.2 camera. Isn't it? This was leaked some days ago and is said to be the camera to come with android 4.3.
Or they might have included the apk in the ROM.

I just installed ok on rootbox ROM on GT7105. But I am unable to change the storage location for photos...
Anyone know if this is possible? It's defaulting to internal storage, I'd like to change to sdcard.

Sphere will fc the camera, i believe we need a lib file... somebody in android spin said that
Gallery works. But when using camera it is a blank white screen with controls on bottom. Yet it still takes the picture of what you are aiming the camera at.

hi everybody. i've flashed the patched version and i have to say that i like it very much. but i'm not able to zoom with this camera. is it only my problem or is it common?
720p and 1080p video recording does not work at the moment, but 480p works (I know I know). If you do not have the sphere viewer after making a sphere, then change the system language to US English.

thanks for letting me know! removed the ICS warning in the OP.
Could one check if the SHARE option works, like when sharing a photo? That's a common problem with these ports.

Long hold a photo, select a few and share them with for example the Gmail app works perfectly here, on a Galaxy S III.

Working great on LiquidSmooth ROM for the Galaxy S3 (jb 4.2.2). The only issue i have is that the "My albums" tab is empty. Any ideas on how to fix that?
Works great on my Galaxy R with ICS ROM. But I´m realize that when I install one of your packages (with old walkman, gallery, video package that happens too...) I can´t connect my device by USB anymore with my PC, it isn´t recognized correctly, in properties, my pc says that the device is manufactured by Sony, not Samsung. Maybe a build.prop bug??
EDIT: after I install another different package and make fix permissions, the problem is solved. It's strange.

Do you find improvement from previous camera stock?
For anyone getting the "Application not installed" message everytime they try to install this via the normal way, this is how I managed to get past it -
I deleted the Gallery2.apk using SlimSizer, (so I'd say you just have to go to /system/app and delete it from there if you're not on Slim) and THEN installed the APK after.
I'd make a backup of the original apk in case you don't like the camera. (which I forgot to do..) Layout is nice once you know how to go to different levels of settings and Photosphere works for me. You'll have a surprise change waiting after you take your first picture - I'm bewildered as to why it wasn't there before. The only bad thing I can see atm is that I haven't found an option to save to External.

Just flashed it camera works fine, video capture is BORKEN however here..
