Hello everyone.
So heres how this works,
You can tell everyone what you personally love and hate about your device, even if its been said you can say it as many times as you would like. After all its your own opinion, then we all can share our opinion on what you had to say (in a respectful manor). Simple enough?

I like:
the gorgeous screen,
the form factor.....It feels right and many other phones feel small
the sdcard slot
the replaceable battery
the IR port
the battery life
wireless Qi charging..Installed my Qi receiver about a week ago.
**thought of another like**
the ease with which I was able to sim unlock my S4
I don't like:
the locked boot loader
the fact that my FIIO E07K headphone amp doesn't work with the S4's usb OTG.
the way the emmc is partitioned, leaving only 9GB or so free on the 16GB version of the S4
I wouldn't call my ATT Galaxy S4 the perfect phone, there's definitely room for improvement, but in my opinion it's still the best phone I've used and I don't regret upgrading from my international i9300 S3 (which is still a great phone. )
love:
Dev support - super easy to root/flash recovery
4.2.2!
customizable toggle/expandable toggles
lock screen music controls
performance
battery life
more logical system menus
hate:
page buddy is gone
single finger zoon is gone
"light" theme compared to "dark" theme of s4, though its growing on me
16 gig is really less than 10 gig
heavily bloated
Here ill go, I love the phone. Specifically the hands free features, I can really wow people with that. I like the fact that this phone has alot of popularity, that means more development! there is not much to say because it speaks for itself!
The only thing I really dislike is the feeling of thinking I'm gonna break it, or the hard time I'm having adjusting to the Samsung keyboard. That's really the only things I don't like really! Haha which one of those isn't even due to the phone it's my own problem. But really this phone is damn near perfect!

My only complaint is that coming from the Note1 the S4 is way too small. I also miss phablet mode (210dpi is unusable on the s4)

The Google keyboard from the play store will solve all your woes.
I really like the form factor.
My only complaint thus far, coming from a Nexus device there isn't much development for this phone, comparatively.
I think I also preferred on-screen buttons only vs the physical home button.

Having just come back to it from the ONE I can confidently two you that the s4 is the best phone on the market. The display is perfect the home button is a life saver and the overall form factor just works better for me. Now that I've got the Google edition ROM I've basically got a 5 inch 1080p display Nexus with removable battery and expandable memory with the perfect button setup!

Coming from the IOS world, I can honestly say I'm glad I made the switch to Android.
What I like:
Size/Form Factor
Removable Battery
Smart Screen, Motion Gestures
Built in Call blocking features
Removable SD Card
Being able to flash ROM's
Not having to have dedicated software for my apps..ie..iTunes
Dev support
What I don't like:
The plastic back. It wasn't a deal breaker I just don't like how it feels.
The speaker is on the back of the phone.
S-Voice, I really relied on Siri and S-Voice just doesn't cut it to me

It's been amazing so far since i bought this device. Coming from the HTC One X which was also a great device but felt like a huge upgrade when i got the S4
Things i like:
External SD
Great Battery life
IR Blaster
Smart Stay
Amoled Display (really missed it from my samsung captivate and nexus s)
Nottach Xposed (so many tweaks and customization)
Dev support is great and we can run international roms with a loki'd kernel. What's not to like
Maybe the only thing i dislike or taking a bit time to get use to is the home button. I have gotten use to having all capacitive buttons. Will miss the sweep2wake feature i had with the One X a little.

Love:
Clarity of screen (coming from an S2)
Smooth feel of its operations
802.11ac (seriously, invest in a 802.11ac router and stream 1080p from your phone. It's sick)
Some of the camera options and quality
Battery life
Dislike:
AMOLED is made of egg shells
Stock body is slippery as heck (compared to the friction back of the S2)
Bloatware like made
Shakey cam before fine tuning.
Still love this phone. I don't care if I spent $200 to repair it's first cracked screen. This phone is well worth it. Can't wait to finish my current development project and go back to Android dev work.

Fast and powerful
32gb option
Sd card
removable battery
Dislike:
physical home button
bloatware (rooted and froze it)

body is slippery (use a case most of the time but would like to go naked sometimes)
Overall I love this phone, I was unhappy with touchwiz, but Google edtion rom has "fixed" all my software woes.
My only complaint is about the buttons at the bottom of the screen, they are so close to the amoled, i often accidentally "hit" items at the bottom when clicking menu, home, back etc...

Just a quick thread. What made you buy this phone and continously use it as your daily driver? This thread can really change the minds of individuals that are on the fence of either purchasing this phone or keeping, due to all these other options available( including myself ).
No bashing in this thread please.

You started the thread but didn't give your input? ugh accidentally hit submit... Anyway I like this phone for the speed and smoothness increase over the amaze. Love the amaze, probably still more than the one s. But this thing is just fast. I don't mind the build quality. I prefer the bigger and heavier feel of the amaze but this is still good. If you like a slim unibody that still feels well built this is the way to go. I also like the battery life on this thing. Ridiculously outlasts my amaze, using stock kernal on energy rom. It's just awesome. Also I haven't had any random reboots or any real complications minus a bad day where I was missing several texts.

Great body (physical appearance) and nice and smooth Sense experience. Build quality has been pretty good. Very slim and elegant with the nice metal (I have the blue one). Fits AMAZING in the pocket. Perfect size in hand and weight as well.
This phone is fast. Battery is good. I can actually use the Car app without plugging it into a charger most of the time. I don't worry about leaving bluetooth, gps or wifi on that much. The battery has been good to me. The phone is sexy as hell. It's also pretty deceiving. Even though it's 4.3 inches, when held in my hand it actually feels smaller than it really is.. like a 4 incher. I gotta hold it next to another 4.3 inch device just to remind myself its that size.
The only thing.. I have to use a case. I currently use the d30 case. This phone is just too damn skinny and small to get a good grip of.
Thin, sexy, light, screen looks great with its not right in front of my face, great battery life, super fluid with trickdroid, etc havent been happy with a phone for a while, while im very nitpicky there isnt much about this phone i dont like which is surprising. Sense 4.1 meets all my needs with functionality, fluidness, and eye candy.
after having the amaze as my second before last phone this phone feels tiny and suuuper light. its only a little bit bigger than my n9 i had which had a 3.9 inch screen.
I probably wont be upgrading for a long while.

I actually like the notification light, its distinct, its not annoying like on some older HTC phones.
I was a flashaholic with my vibrant. And the only reason why I even rooted it was to keep up. After having this phone not once have I thought about root. S4 chip and ice cream makes this phone a beast. I'm totally happy. And design is just an added perk.

The looks and the quality feel of it. No other phone can compete with it! The camera and the soundquality are just awesome.
- don't feel the need to root at all
- sense V4, gallery, calendar, camera UI and features can't be beat
- aluminium uni-body with MAO
- design/looks and how slim it is
- great SAMOLED screen, which is the best for calibration/colours (compared to other AMOLED based screens)
- amazing battery life, only beaten by RAZR MAXX, iphone 5, note II and the XL
- superb camera for photo quality
- amazing hardware, best CPU there is (s4), beats exynos quad in the GS 3 and the tegra 3 quad in the X for performance per core, power efficiency and heat and the GPU is great as well, can hold its own against the GS 3 GPU and even out performs it in quite a few tests, even the more stressful/demanding ones
- extremely stable, have only restarted my S like 10-15 times (if even that) since April, only had 2 freezes where the mobile restarted automatically but this seems to have been fixed ever since the first update
- audio is superb, only matched by the GS 3
- Great form factor
- Does not slow down
- Nice color choice (Grey and blue)
- Nice screen, colors are very vibrant and blacks are very black
- Exceptional battery life
I love this PHONE!!! longtime android user here. I started my andro days with the launch of the G1 and stuck with through the rise and fall of many players in the field. When I finally did upgrade it I stayed wittth Tmobile and went wwith the G2X. I was in love. So powerful, so fas,,, didnt understand why so many griped about it. I had my G2x for a year and a half and was still ging strong when it was stolen from my locker at the gym one night. What a sad state of affairs. I was stuck with a broken iphone 2g for about 2 weeks until Tmobile ran their special on the One S for $0 down with a $50 rebate here in the US. and oh by the way, the lady tells me, have fun with this, we just brought back unlimitted 4G last night, would you like to add it to your plan? Helll to the YEAH!!
The HTC One S is blistering fast. Down speed is ridiculous. such a sleek form factor and amaing screeeen. instantly became the future upgrade choice of many of my friends. Worried about Netflix without wifi? yeah no problem, we have unlimited 4g whats up? Worried about no sd card? Yeah uhmm did i mention unlimited 4G? I got my hands on 50GB of free storage from BOX back when i had the LG G2X. dontt know if you guys know about the app cloudaround, but it is a cloud player that will let you sync with various cloud storageee boxes. anddddd you can upload from your phone. Insane up speeds with this unit, I am PC free, so no root, but mass ammounts of music and movies on my online storage, and no need for PC to upload(damn you google music). If ANYONE is on the fence about this phone I would have to say take that leap of faith, yo will not be disappointed. Aazing, beautiful, blinding speed, wonderful device.

The screen is nice, size is nice, great build quality.
Had to root it tho, missing way too much without it.
On cm10 now and even tho i miss the sense camera, which is about the only thing i miss from sense, its running great.
this phone is the total package.
The amoled screen is awesome especially with sense .
The camera is top notch and the weight is great even though I prefer heavier devices normaly , even though its light its feels solid ,
Only bad things are s off and notification light

I used the HTC One S for 3/4 of a year and for the most part 1 liked the phone.
It behaved very well for the most part and was stable and quick ........
I also loved the design and feel of the phone but the sleek compact design resulted in a number of usability problems.
The usability problems 1 experienced with this phone were:
1) The on screen keyboard is very difficult to type on for my finger size. My previous cell was a Desire Z which I had no issues with. My new phone is a Galaxy IIIs is so much easier to type on. Even with Swiftkey I was consistently frustrated with the One S keypad ... The keys are just too small and close.
2) The speaker on the OneS is too weak ..... I always had issues hearing notifications and hands free talking.
3) The storage on the One S is far far too small. I couldn't load the data sets for some of my fav apps (like Audobon Birds) and it could only take a small subset of my music collection even at ogg 105kps. My Galaxy IIIs and my old 32gb microSD card from my Desire Z gives me 64GB .... no more syncing tracks ever again. The IIIS seems to be very stable with microSD and I have had no mounting issues yet.
The sound quality on the HTC OneS was really good but the IIIS seems just as good so far and I never used the Beats audio anyway. The IIIS has a cheap headphone port but I never use it anyway.
I do miss some of the Sense Apps
The One S hasn't died, why use the word post-mortem? lol
anyway I think my One S is far superior to the GS3. I would definitely rather have this phone than a GS3
In my opinion the only problem of one S is the dam small storage!
Sent from my HTC ONE S using TD6
My wife has SG3 and my One S just by holding the two...the One S feels far more premium.
The sound through headset is far from the same. Beats provides a much louder volume and bass with little to no distortion. The SG3 phone speaker is louder though.
Touchwiz is just ugly with its cartoonish looking UI and feels cluttered.
Only thing I prefer on the SG3 is the screen size.

Agreed. Touchwiz has many features and all, but the UI absolutely sucks. It doesn't look good at all and ruins holo apps and replaces them with Touchwiz looking ones. Touchwiz is hideous imo

From the OP ...... I would be the very first to agree with you about the look and feel of the phone in your hand .... The One S feels better in just about every way until you put a case on it..... then there isn't all that much difference. The One S is a very elegant but crippled phone. If I had a dollar for every time I had to ask "could you repeat that" on the One S speaker phone I would be rich. With the S3 I can have a intelligible conversation form across the room even with Skype.
I like the look of Sense better that Touchwiz but there isn't really all that much difference if you use Swiftkey anyway. Sense has way better Widgets and a more elegant look but with a few apps I have the S3 looking more than good enough.
With JB on both phones the One S is a little more fluid for most things in my hands but not by much.
Beats audio was a bad joke ..... PowerAmp does a much better job. I haven't done exhaustive testing but the audio quality seems on par with the One S
I would have never left HTC as I really like their phones but the keyboard and the crippled storage (no microSD) has turned me off HTC probably for ever. I never have to worry about syncing music again with the S3 except when I get new tracks. I can also leave the tracks in MP3 format so sync is much quicker and there is lyric support. With the S3 it is "play the song you want whenever you want". On line music storage isn't even close to being usable IMO

You either have a hearing problem or a duff phone, mine is plenty loud enough (and I do have a hearing problem)

comparing the 2 phones, speedwise there is almost no noticeable difference (to normal users). build quality is faaar better on htc one s. software wise it depends on the person, i like htc sense a lot more than touchwiz and its tons of "features" which nobody actually uses. the only thing i like on gs3 and miss on my htc one s is the display pixel density. not screen size, only pixel density. 300+ ppi looks a lot better and does make a noticeable difference when browsing and reading.

Yeah... The pixel density is mostly why I switched phones... Sounds crazy. But I had gotten a good deal on an S III, once I had it I couldn't justify getting rid of it the display is just beautiful compared to the one s. There are a lot of other benefits obviously as well. But the screen sold me.
Edit: and there are some pretty good convenience features on the S III. As far as launcher is concerned (from a complete stock point of view, or of someone that does not root... The majority) while I like sense better overall I would feel limited not having any quick settings, and the lack of a menu button offscreen was frustrating

2) No I don't have the any problems with my hearing ...... and if I did, the Samsung Galaxy S3 must be a miracle cure for hearing loss. I cannot rule out that I got a "Duff" One S phone.
3) I got the One S on a product replacement plan when my HTC Desire Z died ..... didn't have a choice ... product replacement plans always have a catch.

I love my Galaxy S 4, have been an Galaxy Fan since the S2 LTE and this is a great phone. I loved the S3 and this phone keep all the good elements from the S3 and puts them up-to-date and adds so much more. I think this phone feels much better in the hand than the S3, it feels a lot more premium. The battery live is better than the S3, the camera is AMAZING!!! I love the fact that they put scrollable mode tabs, the only thing that pisses me off is that we can toggle flash, we need to go in camera settings to do it. Thats kinda annoying. Beside that, the rest is great. Everything that goes wrong with this phone can be fixed by software so i'm not even stressing over that
Love everything about it, the screen, the clarity, battery life, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connect super fast and are super stable, accuracy, few fcs. Absolutely love it.

Screen is great, battery life is pretty good for what I use it for, I'm rarely below 40% at the end of the day if I'm on it a lot (for me). The best thing about this thing is the way it fits in my pocket. I've actually started to look for my phone thinking I lost it, only to find it in my pocket!
Came from the S3 and I will miss the developers. I think the screen is amazing. The air gestures and hover finger stuff puts it as what I would consider 2013 tech. In bone stock form I have been very impressed. Slight lag from time to time is not enough to be a deal breaker. The developers will fix is up. Battery life has been very impressive. My only dislikes are just cosmetic, white inbox in messaging, and white dialer. Lol.

Hello S4 Users,
Need your advice. I currently own a ATT Note 2 --pretty happy overall with the performance and battery life but the size and difficulty with one hand operation can annoy so planning to switch to S4. Looked at the S4 in store and 5" display with the form factor seems perfect
1. Does anyone who switched from Note 2 to S4 regret their decision--Why?
2. S4 reviews with ATT seems mixed: Lot of threads about bad battery life and lag. Are majority of users seeing these issues or are they specific to certain bad devices/app issues?
any other S4 issues that i should be aware of?
thanks
the only advace i can give you is try it urself in the store.. i came from htc and i love the S4 and wouldnt switch back.. now with the note2 i have freinds that love it and i also like it but i didnt want the 5.5 screen so i waited for the S4..with battery i have no issues last me 8-10 hrs depending how i use it and no lag on my end, fone is just awesome from what i can see..

1. No I do not.
2. The Note 2's battery life is definitely better than the S4's. The battery life on the S4 is great, but simply can't come close to that of the Note 2. The speaker on the Note 2 is also louder and fuller sounding. My wife still has a Note 2 and it's obvious.
My S4 lags less and is smother than my Note 2 was. Auto-rotate of the S4 screen is definitely better as well. I like the feel of the S4 a lot more than the Note 2. The screen and the size of the phone made this an easy switch for me.
Yes note 2 is a much better device imo. No phone can compare to it yet. Sgs4 lacks and screen feels very small.

I switched from an international Note 2 (n7100) and I don't regret it at all. I love the increased PPI (I can desktop view websites in landscape and read everything without needing to zoom), and the S4 makes walking around with jeans a lot more comfortable compared to having the N2 in my pocket. Also the processor speed is much faster. I notice while running Firefox Nightly. I personally never used the SPen, so I'm not missing my Note 2. Watching videos was better on the Note 2 because the screen was bigger, but that's the only advantage I can think of.
Also, I haven't seen any lag. I installed the OTA update the day I got the device, so I never saw problems.
@sabre31 are you crazy I switch over to the s4 from a note 2 and loving it. Screen is just so damn gorgeous and my battery life is awsome. I could go through a whole 10hrs of work and still have 40 percent left. Trying switching over to the s4 first before making comments. Sgs4 is a beast and I am glad I made the switch love my s4 best phone hands down.

I too was a Note 2 owner, looking to pass it along to one of my employees. I am very happy with the S4 got 14 hours of battery use out of mine yesterday. I will say I miss NEVER having to think about the battery on the Note 2.
There is one big issue with the SG4 for me though. I MISS Scott's CLEANROM it is blazingly fast I hope he does one for the SG4.
Note 1 to 2 to s4 here.
Miss scotts rom but thats it. And trust me im a MAJOR fan of the note. Do it

Lol ummm I do have an s4 and using it now. Sucks compared to note 2. Only thing it has over note 2 is higher res screen. Who cares about the specs if the phone runs like a turtle.

I bought both outright. The ppi doesn't make near the difference I thought it would. I like the notes bigger screen but like holding the s4 because its not huge if that makes sense. S4 is much better for 1 handed use. I never used my spen so I cant comment on that. 4.2.2 isnt really much different...Although I love having lockscreen controls of my media players like pandora which 4.1.2 cant do. Battery is obviously better on the note 2. Im still thinking about returning my s4 because its not a HUGE upgrade but it is noticeably smoother flipping through home screens using nova launcher which I think is a good test. 4.2.2 scrolling in other apps suffers though so there is a trade off.

Nice. thread getting some traction. As i noted earlier, i do love the NOTE2 specially having to never worry abt the battery and when i switched from Note-->Note2 had loved the upgrade. As time went by, found note 2 to be difficult to use with one hand and slightly heavy.
So looks like slightly worse battery life is the only CON BTW did anone consider the HTC ONE over S4? I liked the design but cokpared to Note2, 4.7" is just too small but would love to get some feedback on the battery life and SENSE...maybe a post for the HTC one forums=

I have an HTC one. I think the design and looks of the phone beat both note 2 and sgs4 without a doubt. I think the camera snaps pictures much faster then sgs4 and I couldn't notice the difference between sgs4 pics and HTC one pics. Sense is nice but more stripped down and less features then sgs4. Battery life is worse then sgs4 imo but this is typical for HTC. Although it has the best battery life from all other HTC phones it seems worse at least to me then my sgs4. I love the 64gb storage of the one also. I know they come in 32gb also. I do feel the screen is way smaller coming from note 2 but using sgs4 and HTC one it is hardly noticeable.
HTC one does have better screen look especially in outside and this has to do with lcd screen being used. However everything I try to use htc one I seem to always end up back on note 2 or sgs4 because of the home button and the capacitive touch buttons are way better on sgs4. On htc one half the time the buttons require two or three times to push to register could be my phone but drives me nuts.
HTC one also has better development and unlocked bootloader.

Lol I have both devices beside me as well.
The cameras are a HUGE difference. The One takes better low light pics but the trade off is horrible I mean really bad pics in daylight, worse then an iPhone 4 (yes the 4 not 4s) The One has a more accurate screen, and 4.7 - 5.0 is a pretty big difference especially since the s4 has a wider screen, the One has a narrow screen. The s4 will become more popular with development when the bootloader is unlocked so really thats nothing to worry about.
Ok let me give you my situation. I never owned a note 2 but before my upgrade I was debating on the s4 or note 2. I was heavily leaning on the note 2 side because the bigger screen spen bigger battery and exynos processor. All I can say now is im glad I chose the s4. Havent looked back since I got it

This is probably one of my biggest gripes about the HTC One. The button layout for me is the deal breaker. Its not just that the power and volume buttons are infuriatingly placed. But the removal of the menu key just to stick a big ass logo in the middle so you can let people know who dreamed up that ridiculous button layout.
I made that switch. Other than not rootng yet I'm very happy.
Battery life isn't as good, but I really like the size. There are some new features that rock too. The camera is even better and the stock messaging app has group mms built in. Those are the two that effect me daily.
What made me stay with the S4 over the Note 2... The screen. I hate the screen quality on the Note. Imo. All the pixelation ugghhh. But when the note 3 comes. Oh buddy!
Having had the Note 2 and now having the One, you get used to the buttons after like a day. Its really not that big of a deal, the only thing that took me a while to adjust to was the screen size lol.
As for going from the Note 2 to the S4, you should be right at home dude.
These seem like the three hottest phones right now, and i know i throw this up in the S4 forum so i am sure to get a bit biased replies, i am curious about comparing all 3.
To me it seems like the One has better sound quality and screen, the S4 supposedly has a bit better speeds (and probably best development) and the OGP has biggest screen size.
I don't love the interface design on the One, specifically no menu button or ability to see recently used apps, could be a deal breaker on it's own. The LG phone is an interesting one...seems like a nicely designed phone, and if you don't really have a need for most of Samsung's zany apps and stuff, it might be a great phone. Biggest problem i am worried about is - lack of development. I got burned on an OG Note when the Note 2 arrived and Samsung basically moved on, never to release an official JB version. I would hate to buy into another great phone only to get burned by lack of a following or something.
I'm sure anyone would be happy as a clam with any of these three bad boys, but anyone have an opinion when comparing them first hand?

I owned the One for a week and switched it for GS4. The Audio on the One sounds better(double front facing stereo speakers > single backfacing speaker) although the volume is about the same, and the screen is brighter, However the 4MP camera couldn't get enough detail for me and the photos looks really fuzzy on my 1440p screen. The AMOLED screen on the GS4 is beautiful and not too bad in sunlight either(One'LCD is better under the sun, but not much better).
Another benefit of GS4 is that the battery life is significantly better than the One, even when I run the GS4 at max brightness(Dynamic Mode) at all times,
Haven't used an Optimus G Pro, but I have both the One and S4. You're right about the button placement on the HTC, it's infuriating. There are custom kernels that allow you to sweep the capacitive buttons or hold the HTC logo to wake and sleep the phone, but they don't work as reliably as I'd like. The S4 is much better in that sense, in my opinion anyways. I prefer the screen on the HTC. I do a lot of Web browsing and I find it's much easier on the eyes. I've done a factory reset, turned off animations, and disabled S-Voice, but my S4 is noticeably more laggy than the HTC. It's actually shockingly laggy given the hardware. I don't take a ton of pictures, but when I do it's almost always in good lightning conditions, so for me the S4 camera trounces the camera on the HTC.
At this point you honestly can't really go wrong. Battery life is similar for my usage, maybe marginally better on the S4. If you can live with 32gb of storage (realistically about 26gb) I'd go for the HTC.

I used the Optimus G Pro (OGP) for 2 days before exchanging for a GS4. I exchanged because the battery life on the Optimus G pro was horrible. I had a NOTE II before and that battery would go all day & some. The screen did get a little brighter than the Galaxy S4, but that was the only benefit for me. I changed because of the battery drain, the lack of assessories, and the predicted lack of development. Both have locked bootloaders, but I figured I would get that unlocked sooner on the GS4 and have more ROMS available to me. I did like the customizable options included with the OGP, but I would choose the GS4 over it again if I had a chance.
I have all 3 phones. I use the LG Optimus G Pro as a daily driver at this point as my sgs4 lags big time and battery life sucks. My batter life on LG Optimus G Pro is very good and I have a note 2. I can go two days with heavy usage no issues. The screen is the best on LG Optimus G Pro compared to HTC one and sgs4.
HTC one build, look and feel is the best it is the iPhone of the android world. However I had the capacitive buttons they suck. The sound is better then any phone out there and I think screen looks good but battery life sucks. Will have decent dev support and comes in 64 or 32gb. No removable battery or sd card.
Sgs4 has nice big screen, 16gb storage total crap as 9gb is only use bale, you can get 32gb now. Cheap plastic build feels worst from all 3 phones. The phone is not as smooth as HTC one or LG Optimus G Pro unless you use a custom rom like CM. The size and screen is perfect if you want a bigger screen but not a big phone. Will have decent dev support. Removable battery and sd card slot.
Lg Optimus G Pro comes in 32gb with micro sd and Removable battery. Has best screen from all phones I have. It is super fast and battery is great. Boot loader is locked with no info if it will ever be unlocked so development is none at this point. Screen is 5.5 and 1080p. I like note 2 so this is a direct replacement for it until note 3 comes out. The phone is actually lighter and not as wide as note 2 so easier to hold single handed.
Hope this helps.

Of you are looking for development then the answer is simple, GS4. Reason being is Google is releasing an S4 with stock Android and it is supported by Google, not Samsung. We should have the best of both worlds. Pretty easy decision if you ask me

Have all three, imo its S4, G Pro, One in that order. Ever since development took off for the S4 and the lag was removed, S4 hands down is the best phone on the market (again, imo)...Optimus G Pro was a huge surprise as its an EXCELLENT phone with a great screen and decent battery (nowhere near as good as Note 2, right on par with S4)...the only issues I have with G Pro is reversed capacitive buttons and the screen is impossible to see outdoors, which is when I simply grab my S4 and go...the One is a great phone, I just got too used to physical home button and multi-tasking (through multi-window or Q Slide), plus I really, REALLY don't care for Sense in any of its iterations...G Pro volume is low even with an aux cable in my car, but fine with Bluetooth, S4 is loud, and One is loud. Clearly One wins design, but if functionality is what you want, I'd go with S4 and G Pro every time.

I was another one of those guys on the fence between these three phones. Ended up ruling out the LG for two reasons: I can't stand the gov't issue LG phones they gave us to use at work and I really don't think I can handle lugging around a phone with a 5.5" screen in my uniform all day.
So that put me between the One and S4. While the one is favored for its front-facing speakers and LCD3 screen, it features no removable storage or user-accessible parts. Have a failed battery? Too bad, need to replace your entire phone. Need more space? Too bad, you only get what's on it (even though 64GB isn't too shabby). So, yes, the One is basically the iPhone of the Android world that just so happens to already have a decent amount of development now, but what will it be like when HTC moves on to whatever new phone it chooses to support? Those of us who owned an Evo knows exactly what I'm talking about.
That being said, the consumer-level development on the One is impressive. They've managed to remove the menu bar for apps that aren't ICS-compliant (Viper will, for one) and allowed you to finally bring the clock speeds back up to be comparable to (if not better than...at your own risk) the S4.
I will personally stick with the S4. There's always a bigger push for development for Samsung's phones, they tend to have better resale potential, and I will actually benefit from a user-accessible battery and SD card storage. Since the S4's SD slot is SDXC-compatible, should they manage to find an ability to have a cards' size in excess of 64GB, you've got MONSTER potential for storage.
One more vote for the S4, and not one from a Samsung fanboy. I was reluctant to decide on it after my Epic 4G was an Epic FAIL, but I feel it's the superior phone for me.
I would opt for the Samsung Galaxy S4 just because there is more development in it other then the other two phones. Also IMO the phone is much easier to use and has a smaller learning curve then the HTC One. The lag on the S4 truly sucks but for some reason I feel the lag is going away with time or as apps update so maybe the problem is getting taken care of. I primary feel the lag when receiving text messages. I use the iPhone as my benchmark for software and smoothness and the Galaxy Note 2 was the closest android phone to iPhone in terms of stability lack of lag and reliability. I thought samsung was taking things in the right direction but I feel they took a step back with the S4. Hopefully they redeem themselves!
For me, it came down to how I was going to use the device. Rarely do I play games or watch movies/tv on my phone, so why would I need front facing speakers anyway? I have a bluetooth stereo speaker if I want to listed to music with friends (jawbone). The ability to replace the battery, sd-card, and the lack of a MENU button pushed me over the top for the ONE. With the LG, it ended up just plain being too large, I have enough tablets in my life. The S4 actually isn't that big, the screen is just bigger because there's a smaller bezel. That left me with one choice, the S4, as much as I hate the rounded corners and plastic feel, the first thing we all do is put a case on it anyway.

S4 is a piss poor release from Samsung. Let's all get our fanboy hats off for a minute. It will be a good phone do to custom roms and devs supporting like CM. People jumped all over apple for releasing iPhone 5 which was similar to iPhone 4s. Samsung copied and did same thing with s4 compared to s3. Note 2 was stable and lack free from day one I had it and used it every day from first day of release until sgs4 was released. I do have an sgs4 and samsung could have done much better.

I have all the newest phones but I also am unbiased and don't stick to one brand or phone and call it like it is. With time and with custom roms sgs4 will be good. It is not my daily driver until cm10.1 comes out for it.
It just blows my mind how Samsung got it so right with the Galaxy Note 2 and couldn't replicate it with the Galaxy s4. I would assume all they had to do was take a product or software that was one of their best and improve it but instead they made it worse. I am really hoping for an update to be released soon to fix many of the software glitches. I am also wondering if this is more of an American galaxy s4 problem that's the international version does not suffer from or A cross-platform problem. But other than the occasional lagginess the Galaxy s4 blows away the competition.
