I've had a look over the FAQ guide on rooting/installing roms but cant find anything relating to 2.3.3 v20i? The phone was on t-mobile (uk) network.
is there any guide I can follow for this particular version?

This is from the development section titled All new again... Ace Hack Kit.
Good luck and read the Effen Manual! If you come to an issue, search first then ask your question if you're not able to find a clear concise answer.

Hello Guys,
I'm a newbie, I would like to know if anyone succeeded by rooting a Nexus s I9020XXKF1 2.3.6 (original non rooted ROM).
and what is the difference between I9020 and I9020A, can we root it the same way?
Thanks,
Martinos
Read the stickies in the development forum or use the search feature. Also, this phone will always be able to be rooted as its a developers phone. Good luck.

Hi,
I was wanting to root my T-mobile LG G2x and I found a previous forum but it don't know if the methods will work due to the forum rooting for a 2.3.3. G2x were I have the new update that is 2.3.4 will the same method work for the update or is there a different way to do it, or would the program unlockroot work to do the rooting?
here is the forum I found:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255214
and is the legit site for Unlock root?:
http://www.unlockroot.com/index.htm
Bump. Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same problem.
I flashed my phone that had 2.3.4 with a stock rom and was able to go from there.
Let's get one thing straight I am not at all a pro at this.
What led to me flashing stock was my dumb ass flashing my phone with a p990 version. XD

Hello,
I have HTC Inspire from AT&T. Have rooted and unlocked to 2.2.1. Now I would like to upgrade from 2.2.1 to 4. Can somebody help me How to upgrade Android HTC Inspire from 2.2.1 to 4?
- Raj
Check the link in my signature, Post#7 which contains basic info.
Basically read the op for each thread/rom to see what is required.
Download rom to sd card, reboot in recovery, perform a full wipe, flash the rom, reboot.
If you unlocked the bootloader using htc dev, that has a different flashing method. You'll get all that info from the guide glevitan wrote in my sig.

You should do some research before you post a new thread... There is so much info about what you asked, a simple search would have gotten you what you were looking for. Good luck with the process though!
Just some advice...
Please search the forums for threads, guides, tutorials, etc. before making a thread. Most of the time you can find your answer to your problem after searching the forums for a few minutes.
Try to find attn1's one click root kit and please read the manual.

After purchasing my Note 5 I received a series of three OTA updates which left me with build number LMY47X.N920TUVU2CIO5. Currently I can't find any info on this specific firmware. No rooting info. No documentation period. Not a single search result via Google. Does anyone have any info regarding this firmware? This is a U.S.
T-Mobile phone. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks!

Rooting the new CIO5 firmware is exactly the same procedure as rooting the original firmware.
You need arter97's kernel, twrp and supersu.
And you need to know how to root.
Good luck,
Have a great day.

All the information and step by step method for rooting is located in the liink below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-...-to-rooting-flashing-custom-recovery-t3200324
The rooting method for all N920T and variants are the same.
Just make sure that you get the correct arter97 custom kernel
version for your N920T phone.
Good luck,
Have a great evening!
