Hi bro, i just wanna help those people who wanna unlock their phone bootloader. Why you need to unlock your phone bootloader? To install some custom rom like FreeXperia's CyanogenMod 10, or Custom Kernel. First, all you need is :
1. Rooted phone. See my guide here
2. Have the driver, you can install PdaNet from my guide or Sony Companion
3. Install the flashtool from Androxyde github
YOUR PHONE WARRANTY NOW VOID!
THIS PROCEDURE DOES A FACTORY RESET ON YOUR PHONE. YOUR DATA, MESSAGES, CONTACTS, OR ANY APPLICATIONS WILL BE DELETED, AND IT WILL INSTALL A STOCK ROM LIKE THE FIRST DAY YOU BOUGHT YOUR PHONE. PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP FIRST IN CWM, I DONT OWN ANY BLAME
Make sure your phone is allowed to be unlocked. Here is the guide :
Dial *#*#7378423#*#*, then go to Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If the Bootloader Unlock Allowed is yes, you can continue If not, please dont ask me. If you want to unlock your phone, go to your service center
THE UNLOCKING STEPS IS :
1. Dial *#06# and takes a note of your IMEI on notepad or anything. This is needed for our next step
2. After install Flashtool, go to Drivers folder and click on Install-Drivers.exe or something like that. In the steps, you need to install your Xperia XXX (XXX is your phone model), Flashboot driver, and flashmode driver. [If your phone is Miro, select the Tipo driver]
[IF YOU ARE ON WIN7 / WIN8, when you're on booting your pc, push the F8 button, and select Disable Digital Signature]
3. Go to Unlock Bootloader website, and enter your phone IMEI here.
If you got a warning like this, then delete your last IMEI character

Hi, sorry for the late reply. You must have already installed CWM/TWRP (choose one). And how to enter CWM/TWRP? Just restart your phone, when the Sony logo is appearing, try to tap the volume down button repeatedly and fast. If you didnt understand, please search it on this forum

When you first boot your pc, suddenly press the F8 button, or you can go to Charm menu -> Settings -> Change PC Settings -> go to General -> Scroll down 'till you find Advanced Startup. Then select the one who have "Disable Digital Signature Check of Driver" or something

Maybe you should add this as a new root method. http://db.tt/mbbkCXdY yes, its in chinese simplified (set your regional settings to chinese prc to see things properly). Just go on with the typical installer button layout > back,next,cancel. After install complete, just click that big green root button (right side). Sorry no screenshot for now. Tested working (i test it myself): alcatel onetouch glory 2s 4010x, galaxy chat b5330, tipo st21i v27. Maybe it will work e and e dual. Way better than unlockroot.

I dont have J JB to test it. But according to chinese description inside, it should work up to 4.2 as long the drivers is correctly install.
thyl_: Official version of unlockroot do have trojans and some hidden installer. There is no way to get a clean offline version from unlockroot.com. These days, unlockroot depends too much on internet connection (i found out its redirecting to 007root.com - free root from china). Good way sucking money for us to buy pro.

Hey,
I have a problem with unlock the bootloader. I saw that there are a lot of problem, but I didn't find any good idea.
I have Sony Xperia J(4.2.1) with kernel 11.2.A.0.21. I tried the official steps, but I have a little bit problem with the fastboot mod I think. The official website write that the fastboot button is the Volume up button, but when I tried it the command window has frozed while it wrote me that: << waiting for device >> like this: http://kepkezelo.com/images/g4yxuosyez5vrgq07nky.jpg
Then I tried to unlock the bootloader with the flashtool but it's frozed too like this: http://kepkezelo.com/images/el7v56a56qw7dpzwwvfs.jpg
I tried it with usb debugging on and tired too when it was off. I tired to change the firmware to ST26i_11.0.A.7.5_CE and of course it was bad too. Somebody could help me please?

Can you please follow the first two steps from the official Sony page please?
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your device by checking the service menu. In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. If you have a tablet, click here to learn how access the service menu.
In your device, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

Download the firmware file from here: http://d-h.st/PsQ
Download flashtool from here: http://androxyde.github.io/ (DON'T change the install path)
1) Install flashtool and install the drivers from the path C:\Flashtool\drivers
2) Download the firmware file and move it to the path C:\Flashtool\firmwares
3) Close any processes related to PC Companion whilst in Task Manager.
4) Disconnect your phone from the computer.
5) Click the lightning bolt, select your firmware from the new window. DON'T change any of the settings, click OK.
6) Wait for the file to finish preparing. Flashtool will then ask you to connect your device in flashmode.
7a) Take your battery out of your phone.
7b) Connect the large end of your USB cable to your computer
7c) Connect the small end of the USB cable to your phone while holding volume down (-).
7d) Put your battery back in whilst still holding volume down (-) (a green LED should come up).
8) Wait for flashtool to finish flashing your phone.

Let's begin rooting our Xperia E3 D2203! I will show you my way to root:
0. Make backup and load up the battery (at least 60%), download and install flashtool ( http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php ), download and install Sony PC Companion (to provide drivers)
1. Obtain your firmware's FTF file (easiest way is to use XperiFirm)
and this firmware: http://uploaded.net/file/f1wll17r (it's Xperia M2 JellyBean kernel) ,
and copy them to: %userprofile%\.flashtool\firmwares ( for WinXP %userprofile% leads to c:\documents and settings\username; in Win Vista and laters: to C:\Users\username )
2. Turn off the phone
3. Connect it to USB cable with Vol- tapped. Make sure that all drivers have been installed successfully and disconnect USB (this is one-time step, if you have ever flashed your phone you probably don't need to do this again)
4. Run flashtool, click thunder icon, select flashmode, choose 18.5.C.0.19 firmware and click Flash
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5. Connect USB with Vol- tapped when asked by flashtool
6. Wait until flashtool ends flashing (you will see messsages like this:
INFO- Ending flash session
INFO- Flashing finished.
INFO- Please unplug and start your phone)
then disconnect phone from usb, power on and wait to boot
7. Go to menu > settings
8. Go to about phone, tap few times on 'compilation number' to enable programmer settings. Go there, enable mock location (may be not nessesary) and USB Debugging
9.Go to security settings, turn ON unknown sources and turn OFF verify apps
10. Plug in USB to ensure that all drivers are installed properly (especially Sony ADB Interface driver)
11. Download giefroot_debug_D2203_modded.zip file ( https://mega.co.nz/#!sscXQKwB!qOIv2a70SH6UAM8vhySQIeEcYXrkkXXfh_X98q5rdDk ) unzip it and run install.bat
12. IMPORTANT STEP - make sure you allowed permanently to debug from your PC, when window appears
13. giefroot will inform you, that rooting has failed - that's OK - it was only to ensure, that your pc is allowed to debug
14. Now we have our phone prepared. Turn it off.
15. In flashtool click thunder icon, select flashmode
16. Select Kernel from Jelly Bean firmware
17. Connect to USB with vol- tapped and wait for flashtool to finish, disconnect USB
18. Power on your phone - you will see Xperia logo for a 1 seconds or 2, but it disappears and you will see only black display - that's ok - it's expected behavior.
19. Wait about 30 seconds and connect USB - make sure that Windows installs driver for ADB Interface Driver (you can ignore MTP driver prompts)
20. Download rootkitXperia ( https://mega.co.nz/#!Mt1zkAyQ!Z2Wg9xQyNCbPt6ksS-Dw76-ifSb_lGvQbFK7zP0yJ9E ), unzip rootkitXperia_20140719.zip and run install.bat
21. Wait for commands: done root command, wait 10 seconds...
22. When you see rebooting message, disconnect from usb, take out back cover, and push off button with needle. After that turn on the phone,at black screen wait 30 seconds and, after that, plug in USB
23. when rootkitXperia ends, you will see message all finished - turn phone off again with button under the back cover (as in step 22)
24. Now we need to restore D2203 kernel
25. Go to flashtool, thunder icon, flashmode, choose firmware from point 4, but BE CAREFUL! - select all things as this is showed on screenshot below: tick OFF wipe cache, data, tick ON exclude bootbundle, partition, ta, fota, baseband, system, elabel - you should see only two files: kernel.sin and loader.sin in content section
26. Now click flash, connect phone to usb with vol-, wait until flashtool finishes, disconnect usb and turn on the phone
27. When phone boots, connect again usb, go to giefroot_debug_D2203_modded.zip content again and run install2.bat
28. When script ends, update su binary with superSu and reboot You have now root access and RW permissions to / and /system
Yop,
Thank you ! ♥ I will try this.
Unfortunately, after doing every step as it is written, after flashing Xperia M2 kernel, phone just won't boot. Sony logo dissapears after 2 seconds and screen is black for long time and it won't boot at all.
I have D2203 with locked bootloader and not allowed to unlock..

It may be possible - but you need to risk and try. Just in points: 4 and 25 use your D2212's FTF instead of D2203.

Thank you SO much for this! Followed the solution to the letter and I have successfully rooted my 'Bootloader Locked Vodafone UK D2203'. It works a charm.
This Guide as the title suggest is universal & how we will be "manually" upgrading our LG leon OS from 5.0.x to 5.1.x is by flashing a kdz file.
YES, it's very simple & easy to do. I created a step by step guide written & also pictures will be available as well.
This guide is NOT just about upgrading as it can also be used to fix your bootloop/brick lg leon if need be. But if you flash a kdz file with a newer firmware it MAY or NOT be able to flash it back to its earlier version, BUT I haven't tested that theory out yet.
The reason why I'm making this guide is because to make a "one stop shop" & also to keep other threads free of cluttered up messages that probably are outdated now from my other crappy guide that I posted on such threads.
WARNINGS
I'm NOT responsible in ANY way if you brick, break, slap, crap, toss, or any damages to your LG leon device
By using this guide your lg leon WILL be reseted so you WILL lose your data so back it up before you try this method
REQUIREMENTS
A WINDOWS COMPUTER RUNNING WINDOWS 7, 8, OR 10
(PICTURES WILL SHOW A WINDOWS 10 PC)

LG United Mobile Driver 3.14.1
LG Flash tool 2014 (build 03/07/2014)
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE CORRECT KDZ FILE FOR YOUR DEVICE
LG Leon variants kdz list
LG Leon 4g LTE Variants kdz list

STEP 3: FLASHING IN DOWNLOAD MODE!
1. Open the Flash Tool
2. Select Type: 3GQCT
3. PhoneMode: EMERGENCY
4. SELECT THE KDZ FILE THAT YOU DOWNLOADED
5. Click on Normal Flash
6. Click on Clear update registry
7. Country: different country
8. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR LANGUAGE
9. Click okay and wait for the LG Mobile Support tool to recognize the device. It takes a minute or two but the tool will recognize it. The software starts the extraction and re-boots at %100. You can remove USB cable ONCE ITS RESTARTS & your device will boot normally, and the device is no longer stuck in a boot loop.
ALSO it has happen to me too often that the program WILL freeze & ask to be close
DON'T CLOSE IT OR STOP ITS PROCESS IN THE TASK MANAGER & IF YOU DO IT YOU WILL END UP WITH A LOVELY NEW PAPER WEIGHT!!!!
SIDE NOTE:
Please double check the kdz file that you are downloading from the firmware software version in about phone(software info) as the two will NEED to be different in order for you to upgrade your LG leon.
Hello! I have a 340n variant
In download section under most download there's a open Europe fw , is there a 5.1 or 5.0? There's no information about fw version. Thanks and sorry for my bad English

First tell which LG device you are using...so I can clarify specific steps
secondly...what are you trying to achieve in terms of using this guide: ie restoring to factory reset, down/up/grade?/etc/
thirdly....did you install a custom recovery or unlocked the bootloader?
fourth...did you follow the guide to the letter?
_____
Are you not able boot into recovery/download mode & which specific errors do you receive?

If you unlock the bootloader you may void the warranty. By Unlocking Bootloader you can install TWRP, Flash Rooting Zip file or custom ROM on your phone. Read more What is unlocking below. Follow this guide on How to Unlock Bootloader on Redmi 5 . Try this only on Redmi 5 smartphone. This method to unlock bootloader on Redmi 5 is simple to follow. But please do read the steps below carefully.
1. Apply for official unlock permission with your Mi-Account. Go to this link: http://en.miui.com/unlock/
2. After you’ve applied and received unlock permission from MIUI sign into your Mi-Account on your phone.
3.Enable “Developer options” on your device by tapping few times on MIUI version.
4.Go to “Developer options” and enable “OEM Unlocking”, then go to “Mi Unlock Status” and tap on “Add account and device”. “Mi Unlock Status” is available on Developer ROM versions as well as the latest Stable ROMs. There’s still a chance that you can get a device without “Mi Unlock Status” option, in this case you’ll need to flash the latest Developer Weekly ROM version first.
5.Download and install the latest version of MiFlashUnlock (unlocking with MiUnlock 1.x version won’t work).
6.Install MiFlashUnlock, open it and press “Agree” button.
7.Sign into your Mi-account.
8.Turn off your phone completely and start it in fastboot mode. Press “Power” and “Volume Down” buttons at the same time until fastboot logo appear on the screen.
9.Connect your phone to PC in fastboot mode and press “Unlock” button.
10.If everything was done the right way the progress bar will stop at 99% and you’ll see “Binding time is too short, less than 72 hours” or “After XX hours of trying to unlock the device” message.
11.Now you’ll have to wait until the countdown. There’s no way to skip or make the process faster. Do not change Mi-Account or flash different ROM version at this point.
12.After the required waiting period is over, open the MiUnlock tool once again and repeat steps from 6 to 9. Now you’ll be able to unlock the bootloader finally.
13.You can check the bootloader lock status by going to “Mi Unlock Status” in the settings menu.

i skipped 360 hours like that in this guide :
I would suggest.. If you have doubt on the process of unlocking your bootloader.. That,
You can always start with a new miui acount all together...and start the proces fresh..
If you want to do that..
Ensure that you remove your device from your old miui acount 1st..
1. Try using miui id number rather then number or email..
When register ..or login on pc or ur fone.
2. Login to miui cloud on ur pc and locate ur device ..
3. Bind ur device to your miui acount..
4. On pc download miui tool..
On hp ..enable dev option ..
Usb debug n oem unlock..
5. Detect ur device via miui unlock n then power down hp to fastboot.. Once detectd it wil start unlok process..
6. Wait for next instruction.. It will show how many hours to wait..before u try again nxt time
If u folow corect steps ther is no reason for it to fail..
Just wait for duration stated by mi unlock n dont keep forcing to unlock it when u already c the period to wait.. Ok?

how high is the risk that is formatted during the unlock of the internal memory? my redmi 5 is completely furnished. I also made a backup on the sd card and online. unfortunately not all apps are supported during backup. the new equipment especially the games would be really tedious.

Thn Backup to PC it is not a risk it just formats u r internal storage
I have a question. I just got this phone today and I've never had a Xiaomi device before.
I went to the link to request an unlock but the only thing that I saw was to download the unlock tool and the steps outlined on that page said to simply bit into bootloader and then run the unlock tool on the PC. Am I going to mess anything up or am I doing anything wrong?
I'm new user of xiaomi brand
I'm using this device for 1 week
I want to know what does this rosy means
My phone is redmi 5 that's all i know but i didn't notice rosy mentioned on my phone
Could anyone clear my doubt about this ??
And how i find out that my device is rosy or not
Cause i want to unlock bootloader to cuztomize my phone with new custom roms and i don't want to take any risk with my device
I was very nervous about this device also but through my digging I found out a few things.
Rosy is the "code name" for the Redmi 5, just like every other phone has a code name before it's announced to the public. For example a few Sony phones are named Maple and Poplar
It won't mention Rosy anywhere on the phone settings but if you have a Xiaomi Redmi 5 then it's a Rosy.
As far as unlocking the bootloader is concerned, just follow the link in the guide to the unlock page and download the new version of the unlock tool, install that on your computer and run the program while the phone is in bootloader mode and the program will take care of the rest. I'm not sure how long it will take because I bought mine already unlocked so for me it was instant but at is that's the process.
Question. In my case when trying to unlock the message is this: "Couldn't unlock after 720 hours of trying to unlock the device".
720 / 24 = 30 days
Am I really-really-really tied for 30 days before "attempting" again? Is it really legal for any company to do this to its users?
Facing this problem
