Same thing here, I bought mine in Germany. I've been searching for hour and hours but nothing. I think that's because this model is in some minor percentage of production just for specified areas. But maybe we'll get lucky next year

I thought that the model U8825D was the dual sim and our model was the mono sim.Maybe I'm wrong.

That's true but that is just what I've said...since now, I think that mono sim model (U8825-1) is just for some european markets like Germany, Italy, UK France. Here in Croatia we don't even have it in the stores. But elswhere (China, Taiwan, and similar countries) there's just dual sim model on offer. So we'll see in the future, but I don't have any high hopes about unlocking the bootloader and finally, rooting
New system update is out, version B942, 80 mb.

Download directly from your phone, go in system settings/about phone/online update. If you don't find anything maybe is because your phone is already updated. You should have B942 in the build number.
So, any hope now to see the root thanks to this update?

My phone, a U8825-1 bought in Germany, has the a b939 in the build number and the updater tells me that no updates are found :/ Oh well.
BTW, this is really a nice phone! Like everything from the handsome design to the good camera. I'm blown away for what I got for the price. I really hope some of the grand modders fall in love with it as I have, so we will see some good hacks and mods

Shouldn't be a problem. Try a different digitizer.

As I mentioned earlier, there is no firmware that you can flash to make it work. Buy a 69.10I27.T01 digitizer.

Well actually there is!!, I understand that you are a good JEW seller ))))) selling your digitizers, but there are hundreds of posts online in Russian language, where people did the same, and it didnot work, so they found some work around with software and make it work.
I know this is an old post, but for those who is searching and reading this, there is a solution. I have same problem now, repaired this model for somebody, but didnot work, so I'm searching it, and now searching the firmware, unfortunately, most files from forums are removed cause models was 5-6 years old, but there is hope
the biggest problem is nobody has the original second version of this digitizer. so there is only one solution, finding the firmware.
I just bought a Huawei Ascend G526 phone.
Am thinking of starting to make a custom rom for it, because it doesn't seem to be a popular device and thus there's no nice ROMs for it.
But I have some questions. Since it would be my first android rom dev project.
I want to know which other phone is very similar to it (is the 525? P1?). This, to know if I could start from a different already developed rom.
Any interest to cooperate?
I also have this phone and I am interested in your project rom
Hello, i also have this phone, so if i can help you let me know. What i know is that is very similar to the huawei g510, and there is a recovery that works on huawei g720 and g526. I whish this could help you. And thanks for triying to make a rom for this Mobile.
Enviado desde mi G526-L11 mediante Tapatalk
Nice to have some replies.
So are you saying that there's a rom for the G720 that also works on the G526?
I mailed Huawei local support to ask for the stock rom, but they gave me another e-mail to contact. They haven't replied yet.
Any hints as to where to start for writing a root for an unpopular / unlisted device as the G526? Just find an exploit?
Need some good resources!
Sorry about my English, what I was trying to explain is that there is a recovery that works on both phones.

So the problem is that you can't unlock the bootloader without some generated code that you normally generate through a site of Huawei itself.
Any ideas on that one?
I did get access with ADB yesterday (which is ****ing nice), but not root off course

To get the unlock code for the bootloader. Once you have the code......fastboot oem unlock xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I sent an email to [email protected]
A copy below – All the details were on the box, if you are too lazy(like me) to pop the battery. That and the back is terrible and everytime I take it off it feels looser than the last time !
Dear Sirs,
Please can you send me the code to unlock the BOOTLOADER, the Ascend G526-L22 is not listed on your unlock bootloader webpage.
Here are the required details--
Model: Ascend G526-L22
IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
S/N: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Baseband: I am on Jelly Bean official ROM (4.1.2)
Thank you.
In the meantime I received the unlock code.
Next phase is to deepen my android knowledge.
Any hints to resources are welcome.

Me

Red Light of Death!!!!
OK here's what me and my friend did with when he semi bricked it too and couldn't turn on or turn off his phone.
1) Install Sony Companion
2) Enter repair mode
3) While connecting the phone to USB, press VolDwn+Pwr upto approximately 5 secs
4) Even if you had a red light before, it should turn to light blue/cyan.
5) The Companion will auto download the firmware and "repair" your phone. (This takes really long say..... around an hour)
6) Enjoy!

If that process didn't work for you, it should be hardbrick. What did you do before you bricked your phone?

Hi, I just checked your message again. You flashed a Micromax custom rom to Xperia C. It is hardbricked.
Your preloader and boot is crushed. Your device will never start and pc will never recognize it. If you have warranty, just send your device and they replace the motherboard. If you don't have warranty you need to buy new motherboard.
Same thing happened to me while developing custom rom. I tried everything, red light never turns to green. Now I am going to buy a new motherboard.
