Lately tecno have produced some low end smartphones running on android, i was so unlucky i got the Tecno P3 which is running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.
The other specs are:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100
SIM Dual mini SIM

Now to the problem, first i am experiencing low memory even after rooting, partitioning SD and using link2SD to link some apps to SD.
Second problem is, i want to know if it can be upgraded to a higher OS.

Been looking for that too... for my d5. Nearly giving up now. Am not the type that reads a lengthy article so to say, but I think the phone has to be rooted with CWM recovery installed, then you'd be ready to flash the APPROPRIATE ROM through CWM Recovery.... and again: the appropriate ROM.

you can find most of the solutions to ur problems on nairaland.com. some of the specs u gave of the phone are incorrect.

All i want is Karbonn A9+ root stuff i dont know how to root it i've already rooted my Karbonn A9 but when i do reset factory it doesnt get reseted gets hang after rebooting and showing up the Karbonn Smart Logo

Yes my brother needs to buy a phone he's budget is of buying sony experia tipo and in that budget even karbonn a9 and a9+ is available so which phone is better?

For what it offers its not a bad price, the one thing I'd be concerned about is the battery being small but then it seems like a small phone

Its not a good deal. The phone is really low end. If you need a cheap phone buy a used one or a refurbished one. You'll get a MUCH better phone for less than 100$

The thing is, you can have better phone at this price point. Try buying the Chinese Counterparts of your phone, since they are low cost and give you a better specs
But if you are a developer and do some modification in your phone, then I would recommend you branded Phones since their support is better in terms of ROMs, Kernel as compared with Chinese counterparts
