[HELP] trying to run fastboot - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
Im new around here and to the rooting area so I have tons of questions. Luckily most i can find an answer to.
I am currently trying to get cwm onto my DROID RAZR HD and as far as i know there is no official supporting versions of it for my phone. So iv found the post on how to flash it and so on but my main problem is my fastboot is giving me issues.
I keep getting the error message--
<bootloader> Variable not supported!
Afther that line of code there is 5-6 lines telling me times. EXAMPLE--(OKAY 0.525s]
iv seen a few threads about this issue but i wan unable to understand what was done to solve the issue. If someone could explain what exactly i am to, that would be awesome
thanks. .

It should work regardless, you are using android fastboot, there is also a motorola fastboot out there.

Hello, iv been a long time lurker on the site with out an account and i recently acquired a xoom tablet 4G model i do believe
It came with ICS by default and i saw an update for jeallybean so i installed it.
Soon i wanted to just get a better rom in the first place but i soon learned i had to unlock my bootloader first anyhow
I got adb and fastboot and the android sdk then i found a guide on how to unlock it. i did it and it was unlocked.
Next i needed to root the dang thing. so i found all the files i needed and i put all the files i needed on sd card also.
I then typed in all the commands needed to flash it in fastboot mode.
I get this error called (to many links) could not flash error. Iv tried differnt files and name types and i even restarted 3 times this whole thing....im so clost to getting this thing flashed so i can get cwm mod and root so i can get the OVerclock mod for the tablet..
I really need help as iv been up all night doing this and it bothers me that i cant get past this stump. iv researched all i could but have not found a soultion. thanks.

Help! EMEI problems

ive been searching around and cant get this thing to connect to a network. i was on mm and i wanted to go back to kk so i tried just doing a full wipe and flashed the fastboot 44s rom (i had a bunch of useless crap saved on my phone and i wanted to get rid of it anyways).
the phone booted up but it says audiofx error and then just reboots. ive tried the msm coloros download tool but its not recognizing my phone in fastboot and neither is the cm11s version of it. i can flash fastboot cm11s roms but i can not get this thing to stay on for more than 3secs.
i have an efs backup from a year ago when this happened but it says the files are corrupted but they shouldnt be. they were iso and i changed their file types to bin (not sure if that makes any sense at all)
could someone please help. thanks in advance

[Completed] Please help me. No OS. HTC One M7.

Hey there guys. I bought an HTC One M7 from amazon which came unlocked. Problem was, i couldnt get it to connect to my provider, Koodo. Long story short, i went to flash a Stock Telus Rom to it, no META file in the zip. Already wiped my phone. So now theres no OS. I have TWRP still (thank god for that) but it just sits at the HTC logo and wont boot, as i know thats what happens when you mess up. Fairly familiar with THIS issue, as ive done it to my Samsung Galaxy SIII MANY times before, but had odin to fix it. I have an RUU.exe. Got it from a forum here. Cant connect to my phone (error 171 i believe). Everything is connected properly, and my PC recognizes it, but only as an MTP device. I am gonna try an RUU.zip and flash it with fastboot. See if that method works. But any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated as i dont want to have spent $299 to waste it like betting on the Maple Leafs.
Side note: I cannot get ADB Sideloader to work properly. I have a Custom Rom that i attempted to flash that way, but i got the error that was like ADB version (31) is not up to date with server (36) or something along the lines of that and then it fails to load daemon everytime. Tried some fixes from these forums but none of them were successful. Not familliar with ADB and all that stuff, so if anyone has any fix for the ADB, please dumb it down to kindergardener levels.
Sorry this is so long. Tried to explain everything as detailed as possible for a more acturately helpful response.
UPDATE Got the RUU.zip file to work after a couple hours of messing around with it. Had to fast boot getvar to obtain my model id, and change that in the android-info.txt in the zip file. Is flashing now. HUGE thanks to all of the thousands of XDA forums. Helped me out with everything!

[Completed] CoolPad 5560S stuck in FastBoot

Hey im very new to rooting and installing roms and custom recoveries, so normally i try to teach myself and i seem to made a mistake somehow. I first sucessfully rooted my CoolPad 5560S and i attempted to install a custom recovery, now i looked up many videos and websites and many apps and found Flashify and this is where i got confused.
i found what i assumed was to be a custom recovery but it had many files within the zip. now i didnt understand if i needed to use my laptop for this or not and i guess i messed up but only using the "recovery.img" thats in the folder and setting flashify to use that img..it shut off my phone and started it in fastboot and every since i havent been able to do anything and im not sure what to do at this point as i said earlier that im very new to this kind of stuff and i couldnt find much on my specific phone.
i really would love for some kind hearted person to help me get fastboot off my phone as i heard it may be possible but again im not sure, i regret not fully digging deeper into what i was doing and actually taking the time to look through the steps but i was so confused with all the different tutorials and stuff i ended up messing up my phone. someone please help me i would really appreciate it. Thanks

First Time Rooting anything, Need serious help.

Hello!
I've posted a similar thread on a different page a couple months back, never finished through with it, and now I'm back looking to finish rooting this SM-G935V once and for all. That's all I want to do with it. I've become somewhat familiar with the lingo used for rooting. All I want to do is root it so I can download apps that require rooted phones. No custom ROM's or anything else, just a simple root.
I think it's tough for me to find valid information on this particular phone because it's already 3 years old and people have moved on, leaving older guides outdated and no longer valid (Atleast I believe it leaves them invalid).
Anyway here's what I got so far.
From what I understand, the only way to root this phone is to unlock the bootloader. I was researching and figured I had to download ADB, so I did, and I got it working. Using the command prompt on Windows, ADB communicated with the phone successfully. But, before I could continue messing with it further, I tested to see if the Fastboot was working aswell (apparently I'm supposed to have both ADB and Fastboot working). I tried using the Fastboot command to test it. What happened was that it sent my phone into a different screen, but the screen was not the typical bootloader screen that I've been seeing other people get. It was a fairly blank screen with nothing but an android logo with the word "Downloading" in the middle. Typing the "fastboot -devices" command returned no devices. After waiting 5 minutes the screen stayed the same and I just gave up on that part, deciding I should consult the experts here.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Starting to think I'm better off just buying a new device that's easier to root.

You can root by following this thread. If your phone is current on its updates, near the end of the thread I believe there is the attached eng.boot.tar that you'll need to flash in the AP slot in Odin 3.13. Everything you need should be in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616
