Better flash the stock rom via odin or... the other way to save you from flashing stock, get a cwm flashable stock rom which would be in .zip format.Open it using a archiving app and extract your needed apps from /system/app/ to a folder and install all of em and if its not installed as system app use an app like link2sd or root installer to convert it to system app. This should solve your problem.
Go to samfirmware.com
You'll find the stock rom ther

Of the various customs Roms that are out there, i did notice a few lags in the messaging application.
So here is the standard SMS default application, without any themes. No Mods have been cerried out except for the foll:
1. MSG txt size increased
2. MSG receipients increased

ANyways to port back to ur OG try the following
You owuld be having a deodex version of ur rom. If not, loook it up on XDA
Unzip my zip folder and replace the MMS.apk from the deodex rom
Zip the file
Flash in CWM
be careful when ur zipping the file. Make sure the file structure is the same as the one which i have uploaded. Else it shall not work
Original in my sense is your app has some modifications right i am talking about the original stock app with no modification

brother , the only addition is increase the message size. Nothing else, No visual mods or themes etc as found in other roms.
Anyways tell me which firmware are u using , And hope u have a deodex rom
Shall make u a CWM update just for ur satisfaction. Its gonna be no different frm what u have, but just for ur assurance

You have to change permissions with rootExplorer or other program
No, i just change read/write for /system to copy the new apk, with root explorer.
Is ihe permission 644?

Want to take full backup of the apps and games ...

If ur just looking to back up data on apps Titanium Backup is good and free
TB can easily do backups.
You can access the .apks by hand through any file manager that supports root access.
Both require root.
There is a tool for the pc, where you can easily backup all apks, rename them and also install them on your phone without pressing install on each app.
When I'm at home I'll search for the name and link.

Use apk extractor (on play store).
I used this for titanium backup so I have the apk already on-device and so when I reset my phone I can skip half the process and then just back every living detail up from titanium backup which I installed from sdcard, no need to even sign in to Google account if you backed up with titanium like me, your good.

My supplement: the programm is called apk batch installer tool and for me it's very useful if i want to have a couple of apps installed which i had in the Rom before. The backup of the data i haven't tested yet with this tool.

I found the apks on mnt/asec in the internal storage.
If you only need the apk you can also use an app like Backup&Restore.
And what didn't work with the program? For me it worked fine! Maybe you didn't switch USB debugging on?

you have to manual copy all files with root explorer but anyway its crap after restart doesnt work anymore

Just to mention this work on odex don't need to cry for it. You just need to delete odex file if zip doesn't delete it
I've got the s5 music player with fc issue but it works after reboot
So if it doesn't work. Make sure you delete odex files if present

ROM version and base: 5.5.4 PDP
The ROM does not run a lot of default applications so I have ended up having to adjust and install certain .APKs including video myself. I have successfully installed S MEMO and set the permissions.
I attempted to do the same for the video.apk linked in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/themes-apps/app-request-stock-s6-video-player-t3161722 . However, after putting the app and appfolder in system/priv-apps/video and setting folder permission to rwx-rx-rx and apk permission to rwx-r-r, then subsequently rebooting, after the reboot the app crashes and doesn't work. can anyone provide me assistance in installing the default video .apk?

The apk and folders were named the same, still didn't work. The flash however worked, any idea why this worked and not the others?
