Wiped System and cant install ROMs now - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I just wiped my System and Factory Reset and now I lost all my ROM's, no OS is installed, and mounting through TWRP doesn't do anything, so essentially my phone is bricked.
How do I fix this? I checked online about pushing the ROM through adb, but it doesn't recognize my device so I can't do anything at all, adb sideload isn't working either, I already tried adb push and that doesn't do anything either, any help is GREATLY appreciated

I'm guessing you did a factory reset in the bootloadrr screen?

I did a factory reset and system wipe through TWRP Recovery, heck I even tried flashing a newer version of the recovery cause I heard it fixes the problem of mounting to the USB, but when I try flashing the new recovery through bootloader using fastboot, it gets stuck at "Waiting for Devices", so I can't even try that either....
I've essentially got a paperweight :/ ....
My Recovery still works, I can get into Bootloader as well, but I can't connect my device to my computer or transfer files onto it, essentially meaning I can't put a ROM onto my phone to even flash....and since I wiped System, theres no OS installed at all...meaning I also can't turn on USB debugging mode....
sigh.... :/
Strangely though, in my booloader, it shows "FASTBOOT USB", so obviously my computer DOES detect the device, but no luck so far getting a ROM into my phone...

Ok so when you mount usb storage in twrp. In my computer on your pc, so you have an unformated drive?

I will try that and let you know, I also updated my Android SDK tools to the latest version, hopefully that helps....

Just tried a different cord, and every other USB port in my laptop, and it still wont do anything when I USB Mount, I'm starting to run out of ideas...
Edit: I'm going to try what was suggested in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37993317&postcount=22
Hopefully that will let me adb sideload the ROM, if it doesn't work, well, then I'm all out of ideas.

Report back if that doesn't work and I have an idea, it uses the device manager to uninatall all USB drives then plug in phone and it will reinstall them.

Well, this is really stressing me out, I'm about to just give up, I don't know what else to try....
Word of advice to everyone, NEVER wipe your System and sdcard at the same time, you will essentially have no way of getting files onto your phone anymore, and you won't have an OS, that piece of information should be stickied somewhere.... sigh...
Thanks everyone for trying to help though, if anyone has any further suggestions, or anything that could help, I would really appreciate it.... I'm about to tear my hair out...

Here's what you do:
Uninstall the HTC Drivers, HTC Sync and any other software for any other phone syncing/managing.
Then reboot.
Then install the latest HTC Sync
Then try again.
Alternatively, if you have a PC with a fresh install or another OS on your system you can try, I find linux to be the easiest to get fastboot/adb working without issue personally, You can try that instead.

Well... google knows almost everything
... But.. ."not connecting" isnt really much info to go on. Try to explain a bit better what happens and whats not.
It keeps flashing the 'USB Debugging Connected' than sometimes the pop up comes up on phone to allow 'Charge Mode/Disk Drive' but not always and my computer (Win7) tries to install the driver, it just keeps saying not connected when open HTC Sync and yes have tried all USB ports and uninstalled drivers also under 'Device Manager' there are no exclamation marks anywhere

[q] twrp 2.5.0.0

Hello,
I followed Hasoon's all-in-one root toolkit and flashed the included TWRP 2.5.0.0 onto my AT&T HTC One X. Now I cannot do anything, whatever I do, it tells me "Unable to mount /cache". Could you please help me? I can't mount the sdcard to the computer either, so I am sort of stuck.

Currently I think it recognizes the phone as a media device (or similar, I forgot the name), not as a disk drive. I am on a Mac, and I have Android File Transfer installed, which then tells me that the device cannot be opened. On Windows it couldn't be opened either although it talked about a driver issue. I currently only have a Mac, but from Monday I could work on a Windows machine again.
The ROM currently being installed is the original AT&T provided ROM.
Thanks so much!

What version? IS it already installed on your phone? I'm trying to find out if you require MTP drivers or not. Latest version of sense/stock Roms require MTP driver to access the SD card.
In any case I wouldn't suggest using any version of TWRP above 2.3.3.1
So, I would download twrp 2.3.3.1 and check the md5
then fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
select recovery from bootloader then try to mount sdcard with twrp.

I see, this all sounds like I need to wait for a windows machine.
I am not sure what ROM version, unfortunately. I bought the phone in December from AT&T, and it all looks like it asks for MTP drivers. I will try this with a Windows machine and then get back to this post - thank you so very much for your help.

Alright, I have tried this with the latest HTC Sync manager: the MTP Drivers however won't install. I have tried with the One X+ of my Dad (which is also brand new, so probably requires the newest version also), and it installs fine and appears as a media device in the explorer. Mine however does not do anything, and driver installation says it fails to install the driver. I have tried manually installing the drivers, however, it seems to have to do with the phone because when I disconnect it suddenly Windows 7 is able to install those drivers, and as mentioned before it also works with a functional phone.
Next week I will be back at work and I have a Windows 8 machine there. I don't have high hopes that it works there, but since there seems to be an MTP driver issue with Win7, maybe there's a chance.
Is there anything else I could do?
Thanks!
PS: don't use your vacation time to root your phone...haha.

Are you rebooting to bootloader to do the fastboot commands? In bootloader it should say Fastboot in red. Then after a couple seconds that should change to Fastboot USB. I don't think fastboot needs the specific drivers to be on the PC like mounting the SD card requires.

You are definitely doing something wrong. fastboot commands only work within bootloader/fastboot and adb commands only work while the rom is loaded up or in sideload mode in TWRP. It's assumed you know this prior to rooting.

It should change to FASTBOOT USB if you are plugged into a computer. If you connected to the computer after you got to bootloader mode, you might have to press volume up or down to get it to switch to FASTBOOT USB Maybe this is the root of your problem. Have you tried multiple USB cables? Is there any crud in the micro-USB port on your phone? It's a little odd that the micro-USB port would break in a manner that charging would still work but not data connections, but I'm starting to wonder if that isn't the case.

Softbrick? some custom rom advice please

Hello everyone,
I have done something utterly stupid with my Nexus 5, I wiped the internal storage and lost my roms, I really wasnt thinking.
I have tried looking at options like adb sideload but cant find a decent tutorial
Could I just get a micro usb to usb adapter and install a rom off that?
Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction with adb sideload?
Other problems are I can't get on the android SDK because the CMD box only flashes up.
Does the adb sideload option in TWRP actually do anything if you wait for it? Its been waiting for about 1 hour now and nothings happening.
Please guys any help is appreciated

Why don't you flash the factory image using fastboot?
The Cmd box you are referring to happens because you need to navigate to that directory using Cmd and run it from there. You cannot just click it.
Thanks but I cant get the SDK to work at all. Im still looking into it but at the moment it wont work
Please somebody help me with the SDK, I dont know what else to do.
I cant open the SDK manager and I cant open it through eclipse either.
Someone else must have had this problem before
Click the link in my signature and then "adb and fastboot. What is it?"
This will help you configure adb properly. It also helps you learn commands. Like adb push.
adb sideload is the same as push but you type sideload instead.
FYI as much as people round here say it, there is no such thing as a soft brick. Its brick or not brick.

Show down and don't panic. Your device is easily fixed. Hold the power button for 20 seconds. This will shut down the phone. Then press and hold the vol down then press the power button. That'll bring your into the bootloader.

Power + volume down button brings you in the bootloader, from there go into recovery (navigate with volume buttons and select with power button)
In recovery follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559200.
Or flash the factory image in the bootloader. (that should work because you need to unlock your bootloader in fastboot)

Here's a hint, read rootSU's sticky rollup and look for the 15 second fastboot adb installer.

[Q]Nexus 5 doesn't connect to PC and can't download any files...

Hi, guys!
I have a problem..
My Nexus 5 doesn't connect to PC or Mac. Nor for MTP, nor for PTP. Device manager doesn't see phone. No beeps, dinglings etc. But phone is charging as normal.
And aaalso, i can't download files, can't make screenshots, Cabinet won't see anything in downloads, files etc. Tried recover from backup, tried reflash xtrasmooth from TWRP but didn't success. Same problem.. Tried different cables - no success. Tried moving cable - no luck.. Tried chmod from TWRP on /data/media/0 - didn't worked.. I've tried everything. ADB, fastboot not working..
Can someone help?
Thanks in advance. =)
If I remember correctly TWRP does provide an option to repair certain partitions. You could try that. I'm not sure if it will delete your personal data though :/
Flashing a factory image would be a second option. This will delete your files for sure though.

TWRP cannot repair internal storage partition.. At least for me. Other options was unsuccessful (tried repair, fix permissions etc. After permissions my phone even started bootloop).
Well.. did you use file encryption?

Nope..
Now, i cannot even make my nexus download files and take screenshots..
Do you have any important files on your internal storage? If not, a factory image might be the best try.

Maybe you're right, but how can i put factory image on my phone without USB and option to download files?)
You don't need to copy it to your phone. It gets flashed via fastboot. Does your computer not even detect the phone in fastboot mode? Drivers installed? Do you use Windows 8?

Try this: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
Remove all usb drivers and try again. Drivers for adb and fastboot are here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
Usually it helps.
P.S. You don't need drivers from NRT.
P.S.2 I've noticed that @_MetalHead_ is around. Do not mention NRT or any other Toolkits anymore.

Hahaha! Hey now, I have no problem with toolkits when used by people who actually know what they are doing, which OP seems to. They just encourage people to jump in the deep end before learning to swim, and that's what I have a problem with. But you know that
Anyways... I don't suspect OP has a driver issue, seeing as though it's also not working with his Mac. It almost seems like a permissions issue, but seeing as though OP tried chmod, then I really don't know what to say. Maybe ask @rootSU, if anybody knows how to fix it, it's him.

Yes, probably you are wright. This is just suggestion from my experience. I've had somethimes problems with drivers and allways fixed them with this little software.
But offcourse, we all hope that rootSU gave up from Nexus 6 and then get back here.

Try this, with your device connected to the pc go to device manager. Do you see a device with a yellow exclamation mark? If so right click and go to where it lets you choose a driver from your computer. Choose the android composite adb interface.

Or in device manager look for something called an acer device (which you obviously don't have) uninstall it's driver if so

No yellow exclamation mark..
What if the problem is in permissions and maybe i'm doing something wrong? I have root. Tried to change them from Root Browser - no luck. Tried to make chmod from TWRP - no luck... At least, downloads and USB still not working. (BTW, music is OK and i can see photos, but can't write them)

Doesn't show up at all?
What permissions are you changing on what files/folders?
Also, see the first link of my signature, try the 15-second adb/fastboot installer, and if that doesn't work then there is a thread for diagnosing driver issues.

Already done. Not working..

Please help me fix this... (Boot problem)

I bought a nexus 5 as a gift for someone and wanted to do some personalizing. I made a custom boot animation, converted it through the "Boot animations" app on google play, but now it hangs on the animation. I tried connecting the device through adb but I can't get my drivers to work, says that nothing is connected. I tested the connection with MY N5 as well and I receive the same result. The reason I tried to connect it though adb was that I read you could change the boot animation through there. Any help would be appreciated... thanks guys :crying:
Are u using Linux? And have u tried using fastboot?

I'm on windows, and when in fastboot the console on my PC says that it can't detect the phone.
Go to device manager on your pc with the device connected. Do you see anything with a yellow !? If so right click on it and update the driver. Go to let me choose a driver from the pc. Find the adb composite interface driver.

Yep as u can see it's the drivers that isn't making it happen, typically why I use Linux, just dual boot some light Ubuntu distro like lxde using a USB and use the terminal, the nexus will definitely get recognized and u can save it, I'm almost 100% positive this is the easiest way unless u know how to troubleshoot the drivers in windows, or u don't want to in which case I can get Windows installed onto my PC and figure out how to get it working to help you if u really want to stick with it.
