Zoom seems fried. Won't boot or recognize fastboot. - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had to SBF my Xoom with RSDlite after something caused it to brick and only able to boot to the Red screen.... No fastboot or recovery.
It took a couple of attempts, but I ultimately found an SBF file that worked. Well about a day later, still not rooted, the Xoom just booted down out of the blue and then stuck on M logo when I tried to turn it back on. Weird things happened when I tired to wipe data from stock recovery, like my /data and /system would not mount. I tried SBF again, now it kept getting stuck at switching to BP and LTE and failing. I was able to flash CWM through fastboot but still could not mount system or data.
I am fresh out of ideas. No warranty. I'll try anything at this point. Please help, anyone! Thanks

[Q] in need of opinions to flash a g2x to stock.

Here is goes... so my buddy tells me he flashed to cm7 trinity, but when I turn the phone on it loads to froyo without a baseband. Won't connect to either sd (says cards are busy).
It also seems he reset the phone so cwm is gone but the back ups are still on the micro SD. I have the nvidia flash and LG update. Neither acknowledge that phone but do mine. Any new ideas will be helpfully.
Thanks

So the phone doesn't boot fully? And you can't get into recovery?

Full boot no recovery option.

reflash cwm recovery, put the stock nandroid that is listed in the dev section into your recovery folder, restore than and start over brotha
Sorry I ment to say no boot. Cwm is gone. I wish it was that easy. I'm ready to tell him to box it up and ship it off to LG and eat the fees.

A reset wouldn't wipe your recovery image. Do you still have root? And, have you tried pulling the micro sdcard out?
Sounds like he didn't NVFlash CWM. That would be you're first step.

CWM Touch Recovery 5.8.1.3 available!

I've been running it for awhile and it works great. Give it a try.

I've been running it as well and confirm that it works
Remove the battery.
Plug in your USB cable to your PC.
Hold Volume Up and Volume Down at the same time keeping them held down.
Plug in the USB cable to your phone. (Keep the buttons held until Windows detects a new APX device.)
Open Device Manager in Windows and you should see "APX Device" listed with an error icon.
Right click on the APX device.
Select 'Update driver software'.
Select 'Browse my computer...'.
Select 'Let me pick...'.
Select 'Have disk'.
Choose .img file
This is how i would upgrade it. Correct?
Follow this guide exactly. Remove the recovery that's currently in that nvflash folder and rename the touch recovery to the exact same name of the 5.0.2.0 recovery that you removed. Then place the renamed touch recovery back into the nvflash folder. Tada!

No, for some reason it keeps bringing up the wrong link. It's the "Guide for nvflash CWM 5.0.2.7 for dummies" in the development section.
EDIT: Links are fixed!

Mediafire's not really working??
You'll have to tell the guy that uploaded it. Head over to Rootz and ask him for a mirror.

Alright I'll either do that, or wait and see if mediafire is working later on. Thanks.

problem with touch recovery?
ok so i successfullly flashed the recovery and it worked wonderfully
that is, until i tried flashing a kernel
i flashed owain's rom and it worked fine..booted up and i set everything up...working great
then i went back to recovery, wiped cache and installed morfic's xlp (ics)
rebooted the phone and it hung up on the blue lg logo
went back to recovery, scrubbed and reflashed owains..worked fine
flashed t15...again hung up on the blue logo
one more time, flashed owain's and then flashed harsh's oc kernel...hung up on blue logo
so i went baack to cwm 5.0.2.7...flashed owain's and xlp
booted up perfectly fine
the longest i waited at the blue screen was around 5 minutes
has anyone else tried flashing a kernel with the touch recovery? im just trying to pinpoint where the issue might have happened
I flashed Faux ICS kernel just fine witn 5.8.1.3 recovery

I've flashed faux and harsh with this recovery and didn't have a single problem. You should just manually wipe. Those things like nullifier and scrubber just cause problems. No need for them at all. Good luck!

I so want more people to realize this. Those are great for when you have a problem that normal wiping cant fix, but if your using them constantly its just reducing the life of your NAND chips.
If its not broke, dont fix it! if everything is running good, theres no need to nullify, use the batch tool, or anything else.
hell, i dont even do any more then a cache wipe (and haven't since CM7 Nightly 100!) << i would not recommend this for most people.
if you have problems then wipe wipe wipe, but if not, dont bother

Accidentally wiped ALL data in recovery

I accidentally wiped all my internal memory on my gs3 via recovery because I was selling it and didmt want the next owner able to get any info off my phone. Now my phone won't boot and I'm unable to get into recovery. Is there any help for me?
Thanks

Jig does nothing for our phone you're worthless tired you don't think properly nobody does but anyway grab a cwm flashable twrp then just flash a ROM you probably have some old version of cwm that newer Roms don't like
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
you stated that u dl stock 4.1.2 and used cwm to install, cant do that w/cwm unless its a cwm/twrp flashable zip file
u r tired, rest, read the stickies on installing cwm/twrp and/or restoring to stock
usb jig was a waste of money
there are flashable zip files for cwm and twrp in the 1stop sticky, flash either one then flash a rom
yes i tried flashing a stock 4.1.2 rom that was converted into a flashable zip file. and ok ill try said instructions and see if it works but so far nothing has been able to been flashed.
I'm vaguely recalling a time when I was trying to flash a ROM and it was giving me an insufficient memory error. You may have to do some spring cleaning if that's your issue.
its not really giving me an error besides the installation aborted one...but now its not showing any zips on my sd card at all...smh in confusion and misery.

thanks everyone!!!!
It's just an sd card, be thankful it's not the phone.

Did you try to run chkdsk -f on the card on a computer? This will check for and fix any file system errors.

I tried this and it said that there were no errors. Now I don't know what to do bc my phone is getting to the point where its not recognizing the sdcard but works just fine with other cards.

User error you probably did something incorrectly but those button combos are hard coded they don't change if you can get to it with a jig then its something you did wrong.

Could be the usb ports. I have a problem with my pc recognizing my device. Laptop works fine but pc doesn't. Who knows but jig doesn't do anything special for the i727.

Need help flashing stock SBF

Need some help here. I have the RAZR MAXX HD, and after updating to 4.1.2. I have been getting random reboots. I went to the Motorola forums and created a thread there about the reboots. One of their moderators suggested a few things, which I tried. None helped. I then tried their final suggestion, which was to do a factory reset. I tried this last night. Ever since I started, my phone has been stuck on the Android robot with the spinning symbol in his chest. Nothing seems to help. I have tried rebooting the phone doing the power and down buttons at the same time. This doesn't help. I have been able to do the power and up/down buttons at the same time, and have been able to get into the fastboot mode. I did try to get into the recovery mode, but that just takes me back to the robot screen. I booted up RSDLite, and tried flashing the most recent images I have. In the Status box, I keep getting a "Failed flashing process. Unknown fastboot command. (getvar). I have downloaded the files from this site here. http://sbf.droid-developers.org/vanquish/list.php Which is the correct file I should be flashing? Please help.
So no suggestions from anyone?

Thanks but I just shipped the phone off to Motorola. We'll see what happens. I'm sure they'll have it for 2 weeks b4 shipping it back. I'll save this for any future problems.
