Hello,
I am new to HTC and getting a custom ROM on it is quite more difficult than on the Galaxy S2. I just found this website http://kgs1992.com/kgs-utility/
Can anyone tell me what steps I need to do to put a custom ROM on it?

I didn't try it yet because I want to be sure I'm not doing anything wrong. I think I'm going to try your links but I got a couple of questions left.
1. Is S-off neccesary and is it hard to do?
2. What are the pros and cons of s-off?
3. What is the right order to do everything so I can flash a ROM?

S-off is not necessary.
With your firmware, you can flash any JB or ICS ROM in the development forum.

The main point of the thread I gave you,is the 4EXT recovery you will install.
With this you will be able to install the ROMS.
The other site wants you to install CWM recovery which is no good to you.

I heard somewhere that if u are s-on u can get into some trouble like "wifi not turning on and wrong flashes".
Is that true? I had a s-off device before and there was no trouble like this. Is s-on just the same like s-off in terms of flashing? (i mean not only turning on smartflash; problems which can occur, which dont occur on s-off)
Are those problems something i should not worry about as i will not get into any trouble with s-on and those guides?

I read WiFi problems will only happen if you keep the stock kernel when flashing ROMs. Although I'm not sure about that.

Just want to point out kernel and recovery are not the same thing. That author seems to be speaking about modified kernels. And the screen shots appear to be from a Samsung device which as far as I know is really different than an HTC device. I would try almost anything as it's an excuse to replace my phone if it doesn't work but I wouldn't try something from another manufacturer's device. And rooting on our device wasn't that hard. Just my two cents...

Yes but the method one is for most device
or most (if not all?) ICS phones having a CWM image at Clockworkmod site:

The method you posted is not essentially different from rooting an HTC, except HTC's require a dev unlock (or s-off) before you can push superuser.
You can have the stock kernel and rom, but be rooted.
Someone correct me, but you don't really need to flash a recovery before pushing SU.
Recovery only lets you have easier control if something goes wrong.
You need a custom recovery to root. Only way out of it is to use the SuperBoot method and I do not recommend that at all. Also, you can root and just flash a stock recovery. I don't know why you'd want a stock recovery, but that's all the info you requested.

If you want to be sure you got a right recovery, just download a ota of a s3 ROM and extract it yourself from the zip.
Or specific ask for a s3 recovery.
In the C2 dev section I think a few topics also got the file.
A cid is not device related. Recovery is.

I can find no ruu only ota.zip guess you have to wait for it.
You could look here.
http://www.androidfiles.org/ruu/?developer=VilleC2
Stock recovery just extract from one of them files.
What you can try is flash a custom ROM that is as stock as possible not jb but an ICS custom rom (based on 2.15 www Asia). Then restore stock recovery. And than do the ota legit.

I can't decide 4 u. You gotta work with the device, not me.
If you want to go with clean stock ROM.

Hi all! I bought an HTC one s (S4) and i have some problems.
1. Battery life is not so good. I charge the battery every day. Battery is full charge in ~3 hours. Is this normal?!
2. Internet signal is weak. sometimes it completely disappears and it does not connect until i get on airplane mode and return to normal. that happens outside the city, in city my signal varies continuously from 3g to h, is not stable even if i standing still. I`m from Romania and phone is from another country because here is only with s3 processor.
3. Consume a lot of net traffic and i don`t know why. in half an hour consumed ~8mb only with whats app (is true, fb was runing in background and i recived notifications but i don`t enter to see photos).
My old htc wildfire did not have these problems. This things are normal or i must return the phone?

Battery life can be improved installing a custom rom (viper one s for example) Don't know about the other problems.
For the radio you may get it fixed with the custom rom.
Only one person is able to respond? come on, just no one knows the answers?
PS: i don`t want a custom rom.
You dont want custom Rom or you don't want to unlock?
There are completely stock custom roms.
If you unlock, get root on stock Rom.
Install custom recovery.
Then try installing different radio.
Or, unlock, supercid, s-off, return cid to og. , then return to stock Rom (ruu) with unlocked/locked and s-off device. Custom Recovery, Root and flash radio.

Check cid with app in store. Cid getter or something.
Just to check which country the device is from.

Now push volume down + powerbutton for a few seconds till you see the bootloader screen. Check all the info there.

Since your still running 1.11 radio.
There should be an ota/update available for you now. To get to 1.15 radio.
It might improve some things 4 you.
However getting s-off and supercid (for custom roms) might be problematic afterwards.

I have downloaded the TWRP 2.6.3.0 and the Clockwork-touch-6.0.3.6-m4 from this forum. But I don't know if these are the latest versions for the One Mini, or which one to choose. :/
Also, is it possible to have the Sense 5 Toolbox on the Stock ROM? If not is ARHD available for the Mini?
Someone please HELP!
TWRP 2.6.3.0 is the newest. I use it too

I got it to work in the meanwhile, but I still don't fully get the Volume2Wake. When the phone is charging it works every time, but when its on battery its as if the phone goes to sleep, so it can only be waken up by the power button. Some times if I press the vol button to wake, right after I lock the device it works flawlessly.
...strange really

With OTA 4.4.2 update the partition layout has changed. Check this out for an adapted TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51612358
