Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread and phone. My brother got this device and I tried to use my Klipsch s4i, Bose Mie2i, Sennheiser ie8i headsets one by one with the device and the result was the buttons didn't work, which was known and even the Mic didn't worked for calls this was shocking. So this made my brother, to stick with his old Samsung headset and away from all the latest.
Is there a way to make the Mic work in calls? Any one else facing this issue? The device was on stock froyo. Thank u!

Thank you, it's the latest leak right? Will it solve the issue? Have you tried any headset after the update? Sorry for too many questions. Thanks again.

Am using viber successfully... during a call... some disturbances are heard
Skype is working awesome
G3mod kernel doesnt work for me... i tried but got stuck on bootlogo
Better network connection do the trick for u...

I have a good net connectoin, but when i tried viber with cm i couldnt hear my girlfriend, but in kyorarom it works just fine.havent try shype tho,i will. Thanks everyonee!
Sent from my GT-I5800 using xda premium
oh yeah..yesterday i had a power cut so wasnt able to do it.. and yup
all of them work but the g3mod kernel must be tweaked to make it work in alpha 7
BTW, tango is the best one and it works for video calling and is very fast even if you have a 2g connection !! most suited for low speed connection and extremely fast in high speed wifi networks.. because skype always drains our tiny phone's battery
Ok,i will try it,thanks

By the way, just to make sure, you talking about alpha 7 right?
Because even I was having the same issue with alpha 6, though it got fixed in A7.

Hi friends I already bricked my phone twice trying to find a stable kernel.. It is known that ardatdat 1.8.1 has some bugs like force closes and sod.. Is it stable in this neo rom? Users of this rom please reply and help me..
Been using it since the neo rom v3 released. Damn smooth the 1.8.1 kernel is. Pretty stable so you can surely use it safely.
P.S- I bricked my phone once so I know how that feels

For me the 1.7b2 suits best , 1.8.2 is good but 1.3ghz is only oc frequency , but i like 1.1 so after flashing neo3 i've went back to 1.7 b2

Hello all. This is compiled from cm10 sources. I will be posting new builds as I feel. My captivate's micro usb port does not work and my battery charger stopped working. So I won't be working on this at all, just gonna be compiling straight from cyanogenmods sources. If I can get another captivate or another battery charger. I will be working on this more. But for now just nightllies.

The date in the build is incorrect. It should be 20120718
Great. I know it would be much stable as soon as Nexus S OTA released tomorrow, and I hope you keep updating this thread. Thanks for supporting cappy community.

I have been searching answer for this from my joining date of xda
Who cares if the rom is official or not.. the fact is Cm9, which I'm currently using, is completely stable with no issues other than wifi .. And with a dev like Dhiru constantly working in it, what difference does it make that its not official ....
Hey guys why don't you understand actually I was checked at CyanMod website it only stated SL i9000 why not our set that's all....

The Cyanogenmod's web site did not write our phone name on the web site because our Cyanogenmod are still in Alpha. First, WiFi didn't show strength, our Kernel is not for Jelly Bean and ICS, front camera improper and many other. Second, There's nothing we can do now, the only thing we do is pray that Kernel 3.x released soon and all/most of the problems are fix. Third, if you don't like using CM (The CM is not a problem for your daily life except if you used it as a camera or try to make a vlog with it front camera), try using stock ROM.
Thanks for your reply....

its not the question of official or unofficial
If the chicken fry tastes good
why you bother if its (hen) blind or not.
The thing is.. Our cyanogen will never been official 'cause dhiru and the other devs are not dependent on the cyano crew. On the cyano site our device is not present cause they've never worked on it.
Maybe if we reach the 3.x Kernel it will probably be better than i9000 official's.

I've been using the Sky ICS ROM for about 4 months, loving it, works great. Wondering about the Jellybean, also Sky from Seansreamz.
Can anyone who has used both tell me if the Jellybean from Sean is as stable and ready for every day use as the ICS ROM?
Thanks

My experience with the latest T11 base has not been positive. Sean himself has said the T7 base with the matching update was practically perfect ... those can be found on goo.im, if they're no longer available here.
I prefer his newer JB version, his roms have always been the most stable for me regardless of the phone. Solid work!
I've been using Sky JB daily since Sean first created it and have had no problems.

Anyone have an opinion on battery life, Sean's ICS ROM compared to his JB ROM, assuming same usage, same power saving measures?

I have nothing but respect for seanz and everything he has done for our community. He has been with skyrocket for a long time and has contributed SOO much. That said, I haven't had a lot of luck with his roms for a while now. Could just be my device, I don't really know. I have used official Cyanogenmod for a while now and I've never had any issues. They are like butter and so clean.
