Hi,
I want to use my A110 as a car embedded system.
For this I need to use the bluetooth internet sharing of my other device (GS3).
But I am not able to reverse tether the A110 (which as no SIM card). It was working fine with my GS1 with cyanogenmod 9 (4.1.2)
The A110 seem to not have the reverse tether bluetooth profile. The bluetooth manager doesn't show the profiles to use. (In the advanced options of connected devices).
If there is an available app to do this?
Maybe a custom ROM?
I am very sad to not be able to do this.
I will maybe sell the A110 to by an GS1 witch is not as good as the A110.
why can't u use Wi-Fi hotspot instead

Because Wifi use more battery as it has to be always enabled. (I want a fast system; when I enter my car it is ready to go).

At my mountain cabin, I do not have a household internet connection, but I do have a Wi-Fi network set up strictly for media sharing. So when I connect my s3 to Wi-Fi for sharing media with DLNA, I can no longer access any internet from my phone and it assumes my Wi-Fi network is also an internet access point, which it is not. Is there any way to force the 3g radio to stay active for internet connectivity while the Wi-Fi radio is on just for media sharing?
I am on ICS rooted and unlocked, also 4g is not yet active in the mountains, so I am limited to using the 3g radio if that makes a difference....Any suggestions appreciated!

There actually is something for that, can't quite remember what its called but I'd do a search in the apps section under android apps. I'll link it if I see it again.

Since Wi-Fi tether uses both radios simultaneously it must be possible...just can't find the app anywhere....let me know if you locate it.

Thanks. That is a really cool program fir downloading from the internet, but doesn't really do what I need. All I want is to enable Wi-Fi for DLNA and other local streaming apps, but still have internet access via mobile data. For example, I would like to stream music/video/pictures remotely from my home PC via all share play on my s3 and play them on my tv via my DLNA enabled blu ray player using the remote screen option on the S3. I don't think this currently exists, but let me know if you think of any thing else. Thanks again!

Check these threads, it has been done so far successfully on Optimus G, as well as Nexus 4 phones:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1640472
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2197776
Since you are rooted, please try these methods, make them work on your phone, and post your results and any changes here. I was able to bring up wifi on my nexus 4 without bringing down my mobile data. The only glitch is that the wifi icon does not turn on, but both networks are verifyiably up, so I can ssh from the phone to my LAN (and vice versa) and I can traceroute from my phone to the outside world, or access websites, through my mobile carrier.
I have a not that unusual request but google searching it is impossible due to the interchangable words and their context.....
I have an Android device with a WiFi hotspot app installed that allows me to connect to hotspots anywhere.
I am at a friends who's internet connection is currently down and needs to get online for a few hours.
I have my USB to device cable.
So I want to do.....
His Computer --> USB Cable --> My Android Device --> WiFi Connection --> My Hotspot provider --> Interweb
This would seem to be fairly standard proxy forwarding to me, so is there a proxy server app for Android?
Before anyone suggests it I can't use tethering as he wants a shedload of data and it would break my 3g cap.
Thanks in advance.

Look buddy if you want to connect your friends phone with your wifi hotspot then turn it on in settings.
You must know that there is a difference in wifi and wifi hotspot.
Your android phone must be enable of wifi hotspot or wifi tethering.
And specify your particular problem.dont mess your question.

PDANET 3.5 via USB tetheror JB USB tethering.
Just enable disable radios, start thering on the device, plug it in.. you may need a client on the pc (as in PDANET).
They are what you are looking for.

Yes, it can be done, it's essentially setting up your computer as a "Bluetooth Network Access Point" to share the LAN's internet via Bluetooth. It can be done on Windows - at least with the Broadcom/"Widcomm" bluetooth stack - enable the "Network Access Point" feature in it's setup/configure option and you need to bridge the new "bluetooth network" connection with your LAN's ethernet connection - see the Broadcom bluetooth software help for full info.
The original thread
i made an app with tasker app factory that enables ethernet
i looked every where xda/google and did not find any thing.
so i made one i hope you all like it, this is the first app i made so it may have bugs.
it should work on most if not all phone/tablets that are android 4.x.x up
this app uses:
svc wifi disable
svc wifi enable
svc data disable
svc data enable
#!/system/bin/sh
busybox ifconfig eth0 up
dhcpcd eth0
for this app to work for you you need:
otg cable
usb ethernet adapter
busybox and
root.
root is for
svc wifi disable
svc wifi enable
svc data disable
svc data enable
busybox ifconfig eth0 up
dhcpcd eth0
and see what the app dose in superSU logs
i hope you all like it
............................INJOY!.............................
Bugs you tell me.
feel free to share this to anyone
just spread the word
..........................EXTRAS.............................
If you want an app that needs wifi
And you want it to run on ethernet
Go here
This is the USB Ethernet adapter that I use
with my nexus 7 and note 3
Working on:
doesn't really matter it's up to your device's kernel
You can also get the app from Google play
superSU is needed for this app
That's crazy. Not downplaying, but why don't you use the usb tether option? I'm up for a trial though
Is is not to tether internet from your phone to computer.
This is for to get internet from a ethernet cable from router to phone.
I hope this cleared up all the confusion you may have had.
Very good idea, think i have a usb 100mbs ethernet adapter something, i shall give this a try.

OOOOOK, you might wanna share this in the Android Stick Computers section as well.
I have loads of apps in my Android Box that wont update through ethernet, or wont work at all since they strictly require Wi-Fi, will this fix that? This is a non-Note 3 question remember

I will try that.
No. if an app checks wifi state then no.
That happens on my nexus7 too and it has the driver for Ethernet in the Kernel.
So I don't know how to fix that.
I have been looking around for a way to falsify Wifi state but with no luck.
