Hey,
I've been trying to root my TF300T (JB 4.1.1, JRO03C.US_epad-10.4.2.130-20120907) with no success.
I've downloaded the ASUS unlocking software and it went fine.
I've installed fastboot but when I boot into Recovey Mode the tablet simply gets stuck if I choose RCK or USB option (I haven't tried to wipe).
Nothing happend for a looong time. Then, I turn it off and when I turn it on again it starts (cold boot I guess OK)
It boots fine into JB and I can use it, but there's no way I can root it (through Recovery Mode).
I've tried DebugfsRoot_Generic_v2.3, but on every attempt I get the same error message: "access denied".
Since I'm stucked in that (and I`ve read many treads here with no success. None of the problems seemed like this).
I'd like to know if someone has had the same problem or have any idea of what might be happening. It's really weird.
Sorry if it seems too noob. I've rooted my Samsung GSII flawlessly but I'm having problems with this tablet.
Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916762
Thanks, but I still can't boot into fastboot, it gets stucked as seen in the pic.

Well, I guess lame mode is ON. Something is not working.
Take a look...
I can't install the update and fixing hasn't solved either...

the recovery.img from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916762
and I copied the file directly to the tablet (/sdcard), no external card

why are you trying to flash recovery again anyway?

Thanks a lot and sorry for noob questions.

Hi
I've recentlyunblocked and unrooted my Italy TIM HtcOneSV using HTC procedure to unblock the bootloader.
Recently TIM release the upgrade 3.11.901.108, but my terminal failed to upgrade, supposedly for unblocking and rooting.
So I first decided to reblock thru fastboot the phone, and on my CMW appeared "RELOCKED", but still the terminal wont update.
Then I tried to UNROOT using SuperSU, but also without any success.
In botn sases, the upgrading stops at CMW, and the only thing I can to is to select REBOOT.
I hope someone can give me a hint to solve this situation
Installed: Android vers. 4.1.2 HTCSense 4+ Num.SW 2.15.901.103 kernel [email protected] RELOCKED/S-ON
Thanks in advance
You still have cwm installed, while updating?
You must run a stock boot.img, stock recovery and stock system (no files deleted).
Otherwise the update will fail.

Do I need my carrier stock image, don't I?
I found smtg on HTC site in Kernel Source Code, Binaries and Updates for HTC Android Phones
I am afraid is only kernel, as is 99 Mb .zip file,
This is the file description:
Model One SV Carrier TIM IT kernel 3.4.10 Android v4.1.2 size 99.3 MB description 2.15.901.103
Is this what I need, or do I have to find something else?
Unlock your bootloader first.
Then, all you need to do is flash your stock recovery.img. then relock your bootloader. You do that and you can proceed with your ota update.

The stock recovery.img is what was initially on your recovery partition before you decided to flash a custom recovery (CWM).

I have RELOCKED bootloader. Is it good?
When you say stock recovery, you mean MY CARRIER recovery.img or HTC ONE SV Europe Android 4.1.2 (my actual version) stock recovery.img?
Sorry for my ignorance, and for my English. I really don't have understood the exact meaning of STOCK file
Thank you, anyway!

Stock file means the file which came with that phone whether out of the box, an RUU, etc.

That stock recovery is required to be on your device in order to proceed with your OTA update. CWM or TWRP recoveries will not work.

Your OTA will have the recovery.ing you need. Inside the ZIP file for your OTA will be a firmware.zip. Inside that zip will be your images. Including the recovery. Flash the recovery with your bootloader unlocked. Then relock your bootloader and accept your OTA. You should be good then.

It's not the .IMG you have to flash, it's the .TAR, or .TAR.MD5 wich contains the .IMG file.
Try this and follow the instructions in the youtube video somewhere there in the post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682722

And regarding flashify, it works but on first open of the app, it says recovery partition not found. Here's the solution: Open the app then reboot into recovery, then reboot back into system and go back to flashify and it should detect your recovery version (in your case, stock recovery).
Press the thanks button if this helped you ?☺

Your phone is gone flashing the stock room using Odin will not work! Download Samsung Kies and their go to firmware recovery option. NOTE- YOU NEED A INTERNET CONNECTION TO DOWNLOAD EXTRA FILES OF NEARLY 2.5 GBs
---------- Post added at 03:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:15 PM ----------
And also this happened because you flashed boot logo that is maybe of different resolution than the 720p and maybe 72dpi

No it will not, because it had happened to me I used the Odin but it didn't worked, kies works perfectly, it is the only way according to me.

Because it is just the ROM it will not change anything to the boot animation and boot logo, so kies is perfect for this, believe me

what is your current ROM ?
In order to fix it u need to extract PARAM.bin file from Boot loader and convert it to tar file using tool. after flashing it its done without any data loss.
If you Have J700F Just Flash This Using ODIN
if isn't,
What is Your Mobile?

Try Flashing this file first. in case of failure you need another working [Rooted] J700M for Rescue Mission..(to get PARAM.bin file)

Well then ,
You need to find rooted J700M to get PARAM.bin file
How to Dump PARAM.bin
Now Download This Tool
Copy PARAM.bin file to tar-Tool Folder and run batch.bat
after that you will find allfiles.tar.md5 inside newly created AllFiles Folder
flash it via ODIN
This Should work. That s how i fixed my j700f after same situation
Is there another way to make my cell phone back to normal ???
It's no problem if you go back to factory standards.
