I thought I read about this yesterday while reading up on which apps to install when flashing CleanROM 6.0 R2, but I can't seem to find it now.
I have to reopen the app I'm using if I let the screen shut off (time out) and I immediately press the Home button to wake the screen up. If I wait a little bit first, I'll have to swipe the lock screen first and the app is up and running. This is very frustrating. I just got the phone on Monday, so I don't have enough experience with the stock firmware to know if it's specific with the rom I'm using or if it does it on stock too.
Thanks for the help.

Well known "bug", you should really search your devices forums. Basically it's from Voice app that Samsung has bound to double tapping the home button. Look in your device's dev forums probably best bet.
Thx. Doing that now. But one thing though this never happened to me before. This annoying bug Started today

Hate to even post this. I was having the same issues with the original Galaxy S.
Anyone happen to know why the note 10.1 would be shutting down fully? I hit the power button and it seems to "hibernate" but then I have to boot it up again later?
Stock everything...
Am I missing something?
Thanks for the help.

Do you have display lock turned off? Are you holding the power button or just tapping it once?
Well everyone, the poor tablet just turned off and never turned back on. Took it back to the retailer and received a new one.
It was a defective note unfortunately.

So since today when I push the power button to lock my phone it will do the crt-off animation but occasionally (1 out of 3 or 4 times) it will immediately be woken at the lock screen after the animation. It does the same while waking, it will turn on and immediately crt-off and sleep. I have even reset the flash counter and wiped and re-flashed different roms at least 10 times.
Does anybody have any advice?
Thanks
Power button is probably getting stuck. Clean it

So I took it apart and cleaned the button. I noticed that when I first flash a rom it barely does it but when all my apps are downloaded it will do it much more. Should I maybe do a unroot and reroot? I think it's mostly software. I don't know what to do next.
Need some help here...been running AOKP unofficial just fine for a while then all of a sudden my phone starts acting crazy and the flash will go off and then start vibrating and try to reboot, then it kinda gets stuck in a mini boot loop. I have to hold down the power button to get it to fully reboot properly. So i thought it might be a bad app. I uninstalled some apps and it kept doing it. So I wiped and installed the latest AOKP unofficial rom. it did it a couple of times even with no apps on the phone. One thing ive also notice is when I push the power button to sleep/lock, It comes right back on to the lockscreen...Thoughts?
Power button, it's in the beginning stages of being totally stuck

My Old Skyrocket I'm letting my son use, is rebooting also. I notice if i barely touch the power button, it wants to go black, or even prompts to reboot. Extremely sensitive. I'll give this a go within the next few days and hopefully this will get him back in business.

Sorry I am a long time reader on the forums and obviously just joined the site so I could start being a part of the community, anyways hello everyone and on to my question.
I have the ultra and thanks to the flawless work of jcase I ran the root perm method. Everything seemed to be nice and fine, recently however I have noticed that my phone goes through odd "freezes" either when trying to slide the status bar down to see notifications (will slide down and I get no response, also get no response afterwords if I try to open an app) a reboot usually takes care of the issue however and I'm back to normal. Also have noticed from co-workers that when my phone does this freeze method, I also cannot get calls or txts from anyone. was just curious if anyone had also experienced this since rooting? Would a flash to stock and root again be in my future?

I've never had a phone that doesn't have occasional glitches. Just force a reboot (hold both power button & volume up key).

Yeah that's normally the route I've been going. As for now I have uninstalled closed framework and modules as I was noticing a few errors when running gravity box. Since uninstalling I haven't noticed any issues. Maybe xposed was just having fun toying with me. Now that there's safe strap and themer available I'm just going to leave that uninstalled thanks for the heads up and tip

I am leaving mine stock until the development picks up. As it is, this is the most flawless phone experience to date. Fast and glass smooth.
