Well the first link looks to be a cheap knockoff of this: http://store.griffintechnology.com/smartphone/survivor-with-belt-clip-for-samsung-galaxy-s4
I don't think it's a waterproof case though, at least nothing that can be submerged...

The Seidio OBEX should be out in a couple of weeks, I'm waiting for that one personally.

I am looking for a holster with a belt clip that doesn't look like a cheap EBAY rip off you get for $3. It doesn't need to be leather. I just want a nice one that will fit the G2x good.
PDAir (pdair.com) makes a great one, I've used them for all my phones. They're not cheap but they're very high quality. I have one coming and will post pics.

I have two same cases for old Blackjack II from PDair. They were expensive, however they have held up well. The interior portion of the spinning clip came free from its attachment, so when it sits, it can bend at an angle, and isn't stiff. The rest of the clip and the outer part still attaches, its just isn't stiff and if I were to get it again for the G2x, I would get one with a permanent belt clip and not the spinny thing. The rest of the leather is OK and has held its shape- not too nice of a grain.
i have a pdair leather case for my old motorola xt720. It's of good quality but I don't really like the tightness of the case, but I do understand that most people would prefer having a tighter case. My concern is that they are probably selling this universal case for all phone models so it might be a bit too tight for the g2x (since my xt720 is smaller than the g2x and I was already complaining about its tightness)
quality-wise, it definitely live up to its price
I am still looking for a hip-holster leather case for this phone. I don't want to buy pdair's horizontal pouch leather case because I know it will be too tight... any more suggestions?

What's the deal with cases from China?

I love the design of the Spigen Neo Hybrid. But they list it as being $30, which seems crazy for a case. So I'm googling for better prices, and find the "same product" on AliExpress...

Most likely a knock off, Spigen cases are definitely being copied..

I believe that all cases are made in China these days. The difference is if they came out the front or back door.
I avoid fakes myself.
Ive never bought anything from Ali before, but it is likely a knock off. I have the Neo Hybrid that I bought from Amazon and I personally love it. When I tried using mine naked, man, the oem cover is just too slippery for my liking. I have extra money on my paypal, so I might try this purchase and see what is the difference. Big red flag from the reviews though, they are mostly one word responses such as "good" and "excellent."
Its pretty much guaranteed that all brand products on Aliexpress are counterfeits. Except for Chinese brands. Most Spigen products are made in Korea. If it was true that they came out the back door, it would most likely be for not passing quality control. Although I don't have two cases to compare, the usual differences are, not as good a fit, components not machined as well, lower grade materials.

That one is cheap because it's not made in the official Spigen factory. Spigen also doesn't allow (usually gets taken down quick) others to sell their brand.

There are quite a few ligit Spigen resellers/retailers for different countries. Although it may be tricky to verify the authenticity of product unless you buy it and check the included serial number. One thing for certain, a genuine Spigen case will not be significantly cheaper as in $3.
i ordered two of them and they are fakes, i attached some pictures of the two i got and the real slim armor i ordered at amazon, they get the job done for $4 but the cut out for usb port is really tight and there is no room to open the flap of the port, i had to take out the case every time i had to charge the phone, that is why i decided to buy a real one at amazon.

they may have been a initial batch that they later discovered the port openings werent big enough and instead of tossing them they sold them for pennies on the dollar. Its just a thought but i can see from your pictures the port openings are definatly smaller

Looks ok, probably awful protection for the front. You definitely need a screen protector with that. But yea let me know how it is.
Personally, in just looking for scratch protection. Ill be using a screen protector, just haven't decided yet in which one.

I am also a Diztronic customer. Used them on my phones for the past few upgrades. I contacted their customer service and they said sometime in November. Delayed because of issues with multiple phone models on the note 4.
In the meantime I ordered the Spigen. It is okay but not as thin and smooth on the edges like my past few Diztronic tpu cases. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MAWRQR6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm using this one I bought at at&t and cant say id recommend it. The outer edges still havent settled, it looks like its not on flush. The at&t guy said it'd take at least 48 hours or return it. I might just do that not sure yet. I get a company discount on accessories.

That case looks as big as the body glove I have on my note 4 and its no good. My headphone jack doesnt fit, I have to pull the case out at the headphone jack to plug in my headphones.
Was waiting for Diztronic TPU cases, but they never released anything.
I think your best bet is to use Ringke
The Diztronic is reviewed here.
The same poster then reviews a Body Glove -Satin, which cut outs...
I like the look and I appreciate cutouts on the Body Glove, as sometimes cases get in the way of the USB charging port.
But it seems the Diztronic might be a tad smaller.
I really which the reviewer would have made some comparative comments.
If anyone has either of these -feed back would be appreciated.

Any branded high quality Cases for Mate 9 yet?

I don't like cheap ass $5 to $10 cases from ebay and amazon. I am looking for some branded case such as spigen, speck and tech21. Let me know if you any other good brands who are making good cases for this phone.
I asked Spigen, they gonna have some but still no ETA :/
I have this one, which is very well done. i't thin, has a good grip, and enough protection for the screen and camera (personal opinion)

I got the same case for my brandnew mate 9. It fits nicely but i doubt it will offer the same protection as my last case.
On my old Galaxy Note Edge i have a Verus Thor case which is a composite of hard and soft protection layers which served my well.
Unfortunately the company has nothing to offer for Huawei so i go with the Nillkin case for the time being.
My black Nilkin case came in the mail yesterday. I highly recommend it. Good grip and feel. Can't go wrong with this one.
I have another one coming in the mail but I can't remember the brand haha.

I just got the spingen case and it comes close to the old Verus.
Not 2 seperate layers but a medium hard material which i expect to dampen any drop.
And the surface has more grip than the bare mate or the hard Nillkin case.
I got the Spigen yesterday. Really like it. Feels great in the hand and looks like it'll do the job as well.

I got it on Amazon in Spain. Maybe, it's not genuine but it feels pretty good quality.
Same problem with my Axon 7. With these non-carrier branded phones, it is tough to find a decent case.
I'm using this case, super good quality, very slim footprint. Smart details too like anti-slip sides.
Should have covered the edge of the glass though.

I've bought about 10 cases, and the only one that is grippy enough that I don't feel like I'll drop the phone when using it one-handed is just a generic plastic TPU one. I have to fit a wireless charging adaptor and some magnets behind the phone, though, so I wish there was something a little bit roomier, but still thin enough for the magnets to work (I use wireless charging car mount)

What leather or fabric cases are you using?

Already have a sandstone feel case from Krusell, which I love. Although they also have a leather case also, it seems too bulky. This being the most expenaive phone I ever bought I want the cases to feel nice in the hand, not rubbery or plasticky. Tried a dbrand skin, but I still felt anxious every time I layed the phone down and would place it ever so gently.
So, anyone got some leather or fabric cases they had nice experience with?
fitbag, amazon, best ones, comes in leather and fabic and I have used both, awesome.
Agree, look at fitbag...
dont spend $25 on fitbag, use an oakley sunglasses sleeve for like $6 and it is the exact same thing

But what about the difference in THICKNESS? The sleeve for my Oakley's are quite thin and don't offer much protection. The fitbag's, on the other hand, don't seem to be in stock so I can't even test the differences yet.
I have a canvas case, it feels very good.
In absence of the official alcantara case I spent hours looking for a leather case, found krusell and ordered leather and sandstone, now waiting for them to arrive... Looks like screen is not protected though in both.. Was hoping the leather krusell was a good replacement so shame to read it is bulky.
Fitbag look nice but rather not have a sleeve case as tend to use my phone a lot and don't want to remove it every time with 2 hands.
Why Samsung don't make premium leather cases like the iPhone cases with a nice small lip at the front I will never understand

After I bought the sandstone from krusell, I also bought their leather one. Don't know if mine was defective or not, but the band that's glued on the margines of the case came off on one side. It's a real shame, cause it really felt great in the hand. I'm still considering if I should give it another shot and buy one more.
