there is no best rom out there because what 1 person may like the other person may not ya digg
so my advice to you would be just try them all till you find 1 you like
Here comes 20 posts about cm7 >_>...
Thanks for the info I do understand that and I guess I'm looking for other combo's Rom and kern. That work well together. But I will try others.

I think I may have opened a can of worms. I did read about cm7 and see pros and cons. I have been looking at leedroid's Rom. Mudknot I would like to thank you for your guide very nice. Do you have any recommendation's?

As doo doo said and I have said in other threads, there is no "BEST" rom. They all are good in their own right, and all of them have their downfalls some more then others.
I have flashed all of them, and I like some more then others. Honestly its all personal preference.
Leedroid for stability and battery with all the features working. CM 7 for the stock feeling but has terrible drain TERRIBLE
I like the sense ones.
However I almost always return to a stock. The best to me are stock with all the bloat ripped out. There is no need to OC yet as the phone is plenty fast. Maybe in 4 or 5 months. /Shrug
I've been using RCmixHD for quite some time and I love it. They just realeased a new rom with SENSE 3.0 and it's beautiful. This latest rom is quite new and there are some improvements that I know will come with some time.
As everybody here will tell you, you will need to experiment and make your own decision on which is best for you.
Stock and Inpired Ace for me.
I am loving team phoenix's new rom. Takes the best of cm 7, + lord mods smartass kernel and makes a very smooth and battery efficient offering.

I really like RCMix Kingdom ROM. It is a work in progress, but sense 3.0 is pretty sweet in my opinion. But like others have said, it all comes down to your own personal preferences. Have fun with it and just go flash crazy lol
I'm loving konikubs elite 3 and kings cocoa 2.

I'm liking Android Revolution right now, but I'm just getting into this whole thing of flashing and what not. I had CoreDroid before, but just found it a bit too complex/too many options for now. Android Revolution to me seems somewhat like stock, but just better optimized. But I plan on trying some other ROMs out there, looking at some of the RCMixes and maybe LeeDroid's

Revolution is a very nice Sense based Rom, I flip back to that one when I get a taste for Sense.

Since the SideKick has heavy social integration you might like the Sense based OSs. 2.37 VU is an uber OS.
I recommend virtuous unity v2.39.0, which have been proved to be fast, stable and battery efficient. I'm currently using the lastest virtuous release virtuous affinity v1.46.0. Everything with this rom seems fine so far.

Should be the same as on CM7. You mean CPU's? CM9 should have a custom kernel that you can overclock.

CM7 is based on Android 2.3.4/5 Source Code and CM9 will be based on Android 4.x Source Code.
personally I prefer Sense based ROMs (even if it a bit of a resource hog) but am looking forward to seeing what Steve and his team pull off hopefully they include the MT3G-S in development (wife doesn't wanna give her's up "It's fast enough and I like the keyboard").

they (Team Douche) haven't said what they will be including from the source code. based on Steve's Tweet they are looking at about a 2 month rough eta for drop
Yes there's HW acceleration, but that doesn't affect games as games already use the GPU. Games won't be any faster on the MT4G than they already are.
To my knowledge, you can't OC the GPU.

I was under the impression that SOC (system on chip) means everything on one chip. Meaning, cpu and gpu coexist on the same silicon. Overclocking the cpu increases graphics performance. Now, mind you, I could be way off (some please clarify). But I doubt you'll see much better performance, unless of course they figured out some serious magic with ICS. I wouldn't get your hopes up though.

What are you looking for in a ROM? Customization(CM7 obviously), stock with a little more oomph?(Oxygen, Bugless Beast).
Here's a list of some of them:

My personal favorite is Devnull ...

I've only ever tried Oxygen and Blandroid. I think the former was a little bit faster and compared to what I'm getting to ICS, battery life was phenomenal. Lol.

Oxygen. General consensus is it's probably one of the best Gingerbread ROMs for the NS.

I had Franco's kernel on it when I was using it. The stock kernel is pretty good too.

Nexbreed works fine. Download it in Rom Manager
hey all, looking to flash the most stable rom for the inspire out there! anyone wanna give me a few good stable roms?
Anything gingerbread is rock solid. ClearDroid and Virtuous Unity are my favorite for Sense and Gingerbeast and Absolution rock if you want to be senseless. The ICS roms are stable enough for daily use but might have small issues that keep them from being the right choice for you. Personally, I love Redemption but there are others that have more active development. I haz not tried jellybean but I would guess that is the same or worse when compared to ICS. You will have to try some out and see what works best for you.

Anything based on stock will be the most stable. 2.47.502.7 and 3.20.502.52. Att just released the last base with sense 3.0. I'm on blackout Ics right now and really am enjoying it. It is sense and Ics. But as always try them out and see what you like. No single rom is for everyone.
The one you find stable when you try them out. Anything else is strictly opinion and these threads are not allowed

I don't think he is outta line really. Not the usual "what's the best Rom" thread which isn't allowed. Just looking for stability which actually there are more stable roms than others. Stock being the most stable.

Not necessarily, his phone is the same model, but they aren't the same exact device. Also, that isn't necessarily true, at&t's last update was completely broken and unstable. Any rom in the section was made to work with our phone and can run it just as good as an at&t built rom. Most times better.

I agree that 2.47.502.7 was buggy and I did not like it even when devs re cooked it. As for the last update 3.20.502.52 or even the original Rom they ran flawlessly. And to use roms with these bases was really all I was saying to him. Just stick to roms built off of these for the most stable experience. I've spent quite amount of time unrooted and also running every Rom you could possibly flash on this device and when I am on an actual inspire base every part of the phone runs the way it should ( with the exception of 2.47.502.7). I think we agree, I just meant roms based off stock, not necessarily stock itself.
As for what Rom to run that differs all together. I'm on an Ics sense Rom that was never intended for our device but I'm willing to live with a little instability for more options and Ics

Stable roms = Gingerbread
Small issue roms = ICS and JellyBean
Is all you need to know. We can use DHD roms on our Inspires if you want to take look at that forum as well.
You will have to test a rom out for yourself cause what may be awesome to one person may be utter crap to others its yp to your preference.

Yes I agree. Gingerbread is most stable. Some dhd base though have minor issues like agps not updating accurately, scanner apps not reading barcodes, battery drain, intermittent WiFi/data issues, Sound problems.. etc. Nothing major though. My favorite dhd base was the sense 3.0 update they got. Runs the smoothest imo. Sense 3.5 and up gets a little clunky.

Yeah I really do like 3.5. The options are definitely worth it. I used to be on bindroid team and we had it running pretty good. I haven't tried any gb based ones recently I bet they got em running pretty smooth now.

As stated before, Gingerbread ROMs are generally more stable than ICS ROMs. That said, my favorite is Primo-S v3.5. Its ICS + Sense 4.0A. Its not the most stable mod out there, but extremely stable, enough t be used as a daily driver. The most stable I've tried is of course Cyanogenmod 7. Second is Android Revolution HD.
