Looking for headphones with mic. - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

Ok, so I'm looking for some headphones with a working mic and if possible also working buttons to switch between songs. I'm not looking to spend $100 or anything. Price range up to $60. I own a pair of jvc xplosives fx201 and they were decent but now I hear a lot of crackling when playing music or watching videos. Any suggestions? Or if you know of some good sounding headphones without a mic or anything let me know as well. Thanks.

Although I can't comment or recommend any headphones, but I've read that the next update will solve the crackling issue, the i9505 variant has that update like 2 weeks ago. I actually used the stock headphones last night for some music, it sounded better than the ones from the s3, my opinion only.

I really like the skullcandy titan mic. I wear at work all day every day as a plumber and at the gym. Sound is amazing and they are super sturdy

I have this: Sennheiser MM70s
Very comfy in my ears, very good sound, powerfull full spectrum bass, clear voices and cristal clear high frequencies and very good functionality. Also the mic works very fine even in noisy enviroment.
Very recommended!

I bought these today at bestbuy... clear sound, good quality and phone sounds clear also....

I got cheapo skullcandies for 12 dollars and they work fine. Bought them when I was in the road since I left mine at home but I actually prefer it over the klipsh s4. Just by the $20 skulls and save the $80 for when you lose them.

I picked up a pair of these when I was in Japan, but I think you can get them through Amazon in other countries or on eBay. Comes with a volume slider (I prefer this to digital volume buttons) and the one button does work for skipping tracks (I use PowerAmp). Sound is decent, certainly better than the stock ones, comes in a variety of colors and certainly won't break the bank.

what's wrong with the ones that come with the phone? i end up using them more than my Shure SE535's!

My biggest concern was with something that stayed in the ear when running while having good sound for less than $50, as i tend to go through a set of headphones every year. Ive been very pleased with these from ME Electronics for. Great bass and very clear for the price, but more importantly they stay in your ear.

i have shure se535's....the ones that come with are not that bad!!! what do you dislike about them?
no matter what headphones you get, they will never beat the shure's...so if you are willing to spend that much less than $500 ones, then i don't know whats wrong with your vestibulocochlear nerves

I ended up just getting the Skullcandy Titans. They're great for the price and an upgrade from the stock headphones.

I use Ultimate Ears Triple.Fi 10's for mine. Got them on sale for $90 on Amazon a little while back. Worth every freaking penny... If you ever see them on sale like that again, I would HIGHLY recommend it. Best earphones I've ever, ever used...

so do both of the above have buttons/mics that work well? I've noticed with two other headsets that they had problems with noise, in comparison with the stock headsets.
For example, using a skull candy (not the best) set, when driving the voice recognition would often not work. Whereas, the stock pair would.
If you get the UE TF10's on sale, you have to get a cord with a mic for it (cords are swappable/replaceable), but yes, it works great.

Klipsch s4a are specially made for Android devices. So you are good with the best noise canceling in ear buds.

My recommendation would be to plan on spending a little money. For one thing, it will be worth it and two it might take a couple sets of buds to find a pair that fit right.
Also, for me, I don't use a mic on ear buds. I'd recommend the Backbeat 903s for phone calls. They really work great this way and I was never a fan of bluetooth earpieces before them. They also double as headphones but I found when I had an iPhone that they didn't always work as well with the phone in the pocket. I just got my Skyrocket so I need to test them out. I usually use my PX 200 II Bs for music though because they travel well for over-the-ear headphones and sound better for music than the 903s.
Those S4s someone recommended do look nice though. Amazon has a good price on the non-mic version (just S4). I'm almost tempted to buy them
The Klipish image s4 look promising, I read the review for the non mic ones and look great. The s4a are even better since they have mic and volume controls compatible with android.

I like the Klipsch S4a (especially for the price), but it is NOT noise CANCELLING. It's noise ISOLATING.
On the SR (and SGS2 for that matter), the Klipsch doesn't shine though. The IEM already produces somewhat bright sound and muddy midrange, and the SR's tendency to muffle sound doesn't really help.

It all depends on what sounds good to you! I am a beats by Dr. Dre fan and have a pair of the pro studio. I do also have a BlueAnt headset for the calls. I find it really easy to slide the headset in and fold the one headphone back a bit.
It all depends on you! I personally would use the headphones of your liking and either hold the phone towards your face and you can hear what the other end is saying via headphones; or just grab a Bluetooth headset like I have.
I would also strongly recommend an a media player that has an equalizer. I personally use Winamp Pro. but there are tons out there!
Shure SE215
I love my Shure SE210's. I've had them for a few years now. Only problem is that they are strictly phones, and not a headset. The newer model has detachable wires that can be replaced with a microphone/headset wiring. The SE215 looks to be about the same price as the aforementioned Klipsch S4A. Plus, the Shure phones are higher impedence, and considering the headphone output on this phone is pretty high, I'm not sure how good those Klipsh will sound.

Headset

I'm in the market for some new headphones and I'm having a hard time deciding between the Bose MIE2 or the Klipsch Image S4A II's .
Does anyone have any experience with either of these headphones?
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I use too own both of them mie2 they have great confront and klips are in ear that personal I hate so much... But always comes Down to personal opinion.

Do you find the Bose stay in your ear well?
I know the Bose MIE2 are not noise cancelling headphones, but do they isolate the noise at all?
For example when your listening to music or on a phone call can you easily hear other conversations going on around you?
I'm also in the market for a new pair of headphones. Looking at the S4As as they're supposed to be meant for android handsets. They're on sale in my area for 50$ so I'm looking at those

Canada Computers I'm guessing?
I'm leaning towards the Klipsch personally. The cord on them looks like it can take much more of a beating compared to the Bose and I like the fact that Klipsch has a android app that will let you customize the features of the button on the device.
They do pretty good job blocking outside noise for daily commute on the train for me... Confront is excellent they are tight fit but you practically can't feel them its amazing especially when you are running.

I've never used the Bose set before, but the Klipsch I used for a few weeks before settling on Etymotic Research hf2's.
My ear isn't professionally trained, and I haven't used too many pairs of headphones, but to me, the Klipsch S4A's sound very warm and rich. The bass is a bit boomy, but as a result, it sounds a bit mushy when compared to the hf2's. The hf2's should be right in your price range (it comes with an inline mic with one button) and owners are promised Essency's Awareness app, though that hasn't been released on Android yet. You should check them out.
P.S. They do stick a bit into your ears; I've never had a problem with this and experience no fatigue with the hf2's, even after 6 or 7 hours of continuous wear. You just gotta find the right tip.

Stereo Bluetooth

Does anyone use a stereo bluetooth headset with the S4? I'm a runner and would like something nice to run with. I've seen great reviews on these LG sets that just rest around your neck, but I think those wouldn't be that good for running.

How does that "around the neck" design work for you? Is there any chance of it falling off while running or something?
I use these but the price will probably scare you: http://www.jaybirdgear.com/bluebuds-x-bluetooth-headphones/

pretty secure, doesn't feel like it's gonna fall out cause the wires are short to the earbuds that go in your ears, and the neck thing is rounded so it hugs your neck.

I use the Novero Rockaway & the Jaybird Bluebuds X. i always had problems keeping headphones like these lodged in my ear canal, but with the extra ear piece that is incorporated with the Bluebuds, they have not come out of my ears since using them for about a week now. the sound on the Bluebuds is superior to the Rockaway but not as good as over the ear headphones. I dont do much running but these things dont budge while doing calisthenics and weight lifting.
I'm no runner, I have been using the Samsung hs3000 since my early s3 days and I can say it's one of the best headsets I have tried.
Pairs easily, sounds amazing, and has aptX.

I also recommend the Samsung HS3000, premium build, good audio quality, has apt-x, plus you have the option to use your preferred headset
I also have mw600 and I'm very happy with them. I'm no music quality freak but I did noticed that sound quality is pretty good even with stock headphones I received with mw600. Best thing for me is the ability to plug in any kind of output device which support 3,5mm jack. I've been using mw600 with my PC, MAC, iPhone and Android without any problems.

Headphone Help!

Hey everybody, I am currently in the market for some new earbud headphones for my S4. I have heard about a lot of people having problems with no stock headphones and I want to avoid that. The headphones I am looking for need the following features:
1. Fit comfortably in ear and don't fall out when running (I personally really like the iPhone 5 style headphones for this)
2. Has volume/track control & mic that works for Android (most seem to be apple only)
3. Decent to Good audio quality
4. Hopefully not super tangley material
Please let me know what you guys think, I am having a hard time finding headphones with those constraints. I would be happy with the iPhone 5 headphones, except for the controls not working and they tangle horribly and easily. My budget is in the $100 range but I'm open to whatever suggestions.
Take a look at yurbud. I just bought some, just waiting for them to come in. The only problem is that the don't have the volume control but do have the mic and track button.

The default thing people will reccommend to you would be the Klipsh Image S4's although there is a designated android version, it only has a one button remote. As far as I know, the only headphones/earbuds that have a 3 button remote for android are the stock S4 headphone's, a variant of urbeats and I believe there is one more but I cant quite think of it.
You can also check out Head-Fi for reviews on headphones by audiophiles.

Recommended Non-noise cancelling headphones?

Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend some non-noise cancelling headphones? I really liked how the Apple Earpods sat in my ear, it was very very comfortable. However i cant stand using the s4 headphones for more then a hour, otherwise my ears start to hurt.
Of course i should mention i want to retain the mic and ability to make calls via the headphones.
Cheers!

Not really, no. However i am just buying headphones to make calls and listen to music. Not analyzing beats, creating music or trying to capture the noises made by underwater creatures.
Hope that makes sense.
My go to recommendation are soundmagic PL30's.
They aren't audiophile quality, but they are amazing quality for the $20 they cost. Dual driver with adjustable base.

After trying a bunch of budget earphones i ended going all out on a set of Bose MIE2i ear buds
My biggest issue was comfort and all that i tried hurt my ears after a short amount of time. These earbuds i can wear for hours even at the gym and are extremely comfortable and come with a built in mic.
However if you have a pair you like already without a mic and need one try this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390534336745?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I already recommended it to someone else for a different issue, but it had a mic built into it and you can use it as a Bluetooth headset, only issue is that it need to be close to your mouth to work, so you either have to hold it close to clip it on your collar
