Stereo Bluetooth - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

Does anyone use a stereo bluetooth headset with the S4? I'm a runner and would like something nice to run with. I've seen great reviews on these LG sets that just rest around your neck, but I think those wouldn't be that good for running.
I have some JLab wired headphones that I love, so I was pondering their bluetooth headphones.
Any experience with these things?

I use the Ericsson mw600
It's a clip on with mic built in also a pair of jlabs (purchased separately)
2.5 years and still get 8 to 9 hours of battery down from 12

Do you like them? Which one is better?
ETA: Ah, I see. The Ericsson is just a receiver and then you plug the headphones into it.

Those look nice. I don't think I can convince myself to spend that much, though.

I have the SE mw600, mw1 and LG HBS730 the 730 has the best sound since it's APT-X but also the most bulkiest.

That has the FM Radio in it. Is the unit able to broadcast the incoming BT audio over an FM signal or is it just an FM Receiver?

I use these. Not too bad sound for the price.

How does that "around the neck" design work for you? Is there any chance of it falling off while running or something?

I use these but the price will probably scare you: http://www.jaybirdgear.com/bluebuds-x-bluetooth-headphones/
I can tell that I am a very dedicated audiophile however, and these headphones are honestly the best sounding headphones I've ever heard (and this is coming from someone who didn't use to believe in earbuds at all before).

pretty secure, doesn't feel like it's gonna fall out cause the wires are short to the earbuds that go in your ears, and the neck thing is rounded so it hugs your neck.

Another runner and big fan of the Jaybird. No problem pairing and working with the S4.

I use the Novero Rockaway & the Jaybird Bluebuds X. i always had problems keeping headphones like these lodged in my ear canal, but with the extra ear piece that is incorporated with the Bluebuds, they have not come out of my ears since using them for about a week now. the sound on the Bluebuds is superior to the Rockaway but not as good as over the ear headphones. I dont do much running but these things dont budge while doing calisthenics and weight lifting.

I'm no runner, I have been using the Samsung hs3000 since my early s3 days and I can say it's one of the best headsets I have tried.
Pairs easily, sounds amazing, and has aptX.
Sent from my GT-I9505

I also recommend the Samsung HS3000, premium build, good audio quality, has apt-x, plus you have the option to use your preferred headset

I also have mw600 and I'm very happy with them. I'm no music quality freak but I did noticed that sound quality is pretty good even with stock headphones I received with mw600. Best thing for me is the ability to plug in any kind of output device which support 3,5mm jack. I've been using mw600 with my PC, MAC, iPhone and Android without any problems.

How does that one work? Does it just have a headphone jack that you plug regular headphones into? Then, what, it just dangles around your neck?
Also, what is aptX?

Bluetooth headphones

Do they make Bluetooth headphones that work with the Epic? I mean Stereo headphones for both ears. I don't want the headphones that go inside of your ear either. I like the earmuff style. Anyone?

They do, but I haven't found any Bluetooth headphones that sound as good as wired headphones.
Great sound quality isn't a high priority. I just need it to be decent. It's for working out. Who makes them?

i owned the sony bt101 and i currently have the altec lansing / plantronics backbeats
the sony did not have noise cancelling but they were a better fit & feel than the AL/plantronics
the audio quality was about the same between them...even in calls...
i paid like $30 for the altecs on ebay...and the sony's were over $60
i would probably do the sony's again if given the choice...even with the price difference
if you really want to step up though....go all out and buy the nokia active noise cancelling bh-905
they have redunkulous uptime and features
also saw a reasonably priced set of stereo bluetooth from car&driver with really high uptime
they were more of the 'earmuff' style but i'd like to try them
i have jaybirds... they work pretty well actually....

Bluetooth headset

Motorola HT820, about 6-8 hours playtime. Built-in microphone, buttons to play/pause forward/backward answer calls plus volume buttons. I've been using those for the past 3 years. Great design, not too bulky sweat resistant design so they are perfect for gym.
Cheaper knock-off version - http://www.dealextreme.com/p/x6-sport-mp3-player-bluetooth-headset-w-fm-tf-101285
I've been using a SE MW600 with my HTC Desire HD and now with my Sensation, the sound quality is better then with the stock headset.
+1
Sony Ericsson MW600 is a neat headset. Has FM radio as well. Great value on this headset even though you cannot see/read the tracks because you are not using a SE phone. But the radio does! And lists the song it plays on FM mode too.

I just bought the Sony HBH-IS800's. They sound great and I got them off Amazon for $60. Only downside is 4-5 hours of battery life.
I too am looking for a good, inexpensive bluetooth headset, but I think what I desire is impossible. I am looking for a bluetooth headset that has a FM tuner built in, and has 10+ hour battery life or uses traditional AAA batteries. Anyone have any leads whatsoever?
I wonder if this same topic is in the general forum..........

The closest you'll get to that is the Sony Ericsson MW600. Battery life is great but it doesn't use AAA batteries. It does have a good FM radio built in and you can use your own earbuds.

best headphones for skyrocket?

I'm looking for a better set of in-ear ear buds for the skyrocket than the ones that came with it.

Klipsch s4a. The best noise canceling in ear buds. I use all the time and for $99 you can't ask for more. The best in market for that price.

so do both of the above have buttons/mics that work well? I've noticed with two other headsets that they had problems with noise, in comparison with the stock headsets.
For example, using a skull candy (not the best) set, when driving the voice recognition would often not work. Whereas, the stock pair would.
If you get the UE TF10's on sale, you have to get a cord with a mic for it (cords are swappable/replaceable), but yes, it works great.

Klipsch s4a are specially made for Android devices. So you are good with the best noise canceling in ear buds.

My recommendation would be to plan on spending a little money. For one thing, it will be worth it and two it might take a couple sets of buds to find a pair that fit right.
Also, for me, I don't use a mic on ear buds. I'd recommend the Backbeat 903s for phone calls. They really work great this way and I was never a fan of bluetooth earpieces before them. They also double as headphones but I found when I had an iPhone that they didn't always work as well with the phone in the pocket. I just got my Skyrocket so I need to test them out. I usually use my PX 200 II Bs for music though because they travel well for over-the-ear headphones and sound better for music than the 903s.
Those S4s someone recommended do look nice though. Amazon has a good price on the non-mic version (just S4). I'm almost tempted to buy them
The Klipish image s4 look promising, I read the review for the non mic ones and look great. The s4a are even better since they have mic and volume controls compatible with android.

I like the Klipsch S4a (especially for the price), but it is NOT noise CANCELLING. It's noise ISOLATING.
On the SR (and SGS2 for that matter), the Klipsch doesn't shine though. The IEM already produces somewhat bright sound and muddy midrange, and the SR's tendency to muffle sound doesn't really help.

It all depends on what sounds good to you! I am a beats by Dr. Dre fan and have a pair of the pro studio. I do also have a BlueAnt headset for the calls. I find it really easy to slide the headset in and fold the one headphone back a bit.
It all depends on you! I personally would use the headphones of your liking and either hold the phone towards your face and you can hear what the other end is saying via headphones; or just grab a Bluetooth headset like I have.
I would also strongly recommend an a media player that has an equalizer. I personally use Winamp Pro. but there are tons out there!
Shure SE215
I love my Shure SE210's. I've had them for a few years now. Only problem is that they are strictly phones, and not a headset. The newer model has detachable wires that can be replaced with a microphone/headset wiring. The SE215 looks to be about the same price as the aforementioned Klipsch S4A. Plus, the Shure phones are higher impedence, and considering the headphone output on this phone is pretty high, I'm not sure how good those Klipsh will sound.

However i saw a DBEST model on flipkart and on ebay. has anybody tried it?
Let me recommend you the SE MW600 BT receiver. It's a small device with a jack output, so you can plug any speakers, headphones, or external amp. It has a Hifi DAC, and a outstanding battery life (I'm talking about weeks).
It also serves as a wireless headset as it has a built mic and volume/call/track buttons. There are newer models, but from my experience this one is very good. Around 40$:

I need an FM radio solution, does anybody have the Sony MW1?

I have the T-mobile S 4, it doesn't include the FM radio like my old i9300.
I need the FM radio for going to the gym where the audio for the TVs is broadcasted thru FM.
I see that either Jabra Tag or the Sony MW1 are bluetooth headsets with FM radio built in. Jabra Tag looks kind of ugly and it is only released recently. The Sony MW1 has quite a bit of positive reviews.
I was wondering if anyone here has the MW1? If so, can you please answer the following?
1. Does the MW1 work with Samsung wired headset? I have read that Sony uses a different pin designation for mic on their headsets (CTIA vs OMTP)
2. Does the FM radio work on the MW1 if I use the Samsung headset? (If I don't care about the mic?)
Thanks!

Do you know those cheap fm - receiver, it would be perfectly for your gym, they are light and you can plug in your headphones, I mean just get some cheap in-ears and thats all you need. If your sportswear has no pouches, look after one with a sturdy clip-on
I have a white ATT S4, picking up a 32gb tonight, not sure which I'll keep maybe both for now.
I have the Sony MW1 and MW600 have not paired it to the S4 yet. but from using it on my previous devices I can tell you.
the Mic is on the dongle itself. the headphone jack is standard pinouts I've used other headphones with it just fine. Assuming the samsung included headphones use standard pinouts (I dont see why they wouldn't) it should work without a problem, just the mic on the wire would be non functional, but the mic on the dongle should work.
I use my MW600 most of the time the MW1 occasionally, it's bulkier but has it's own mp3 player which is nice.
I read a new model is coming soon Sony SBH50 is the name saw it on engadget yesterday also includes FM radio.

I have my MW600 pared to my laptop, HTPC and S4 and works like a champ. Sound is great with awsome bass, mids and highs. The head phone can be replaced with another one or one of your choice.

You cant go worng with this BT headset.
