Using a GSM modded Photon Q on ATT and get a data connection with CM10.1 but not with stock rom. Made sure APNs were the same and all, but nothing I tried helps. Is there a way to get data working on any version of the stock rom?
Probably not without patching the stock ROM.
So you are using a modded photon Q on GSM in the US and only getting data on cm 10.1?

So I was on ICS via Roms and after each ROM kept failing on my Xoom I relocked it and restores it to HC via the instructions and tools provided here and on xoomforums.
No problem what so ever except the part where I can't Official ICS on my 4g Xoom. I guess I'm supposed to be on 3.2.6. How do I get there?

Install a custom ROM. Team EOS for one make a good ROM for 4G Xoom.
Maybe OTA isn't released for your 4G country yet.
Hello there,
Just got a used samsung skyrocket with At&t and upgraded to the 4.0.4 android version.
My problem is that I have no data and wifi will not work. I tried changing the APN settings which would get my data to work but still no Wifi or mms. Any suggestions of how I can fix this? Thank you.
Need more info:
1. Are you on stock or rooted?
A. If rooted, what rom?
2. What radio do you have installed?
It sounds like your radio didn't flash correctly. You can either ODIN to a stock 4.0.4 or just flash a ROM thru CWM Touch.

Try going to the Sky ICS thread in the development forum, grab one of the radios from there, and flash through CWM or TWRP. If it's a bad radio flash, that will fix it.

I'm on stock and I just upgraded to the 4.0.4. How do I check my radio?
type *#06# in phone dialer to check for intact IMEI number and hope your used skyrocket is not blocked from the network

Am using Samsung Galaxy i535 in China. (using China mobile SIM card - GSM network).
Currently using "Bean's Custom Stock Rom Build 15". The phone has been working properly in placing/receiving several calls. However, it now cannot make any phone call. It pops up the message "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped". But there is no issue to receive phone call and wifi. Tried double wipes and flashed other ROMs, The issue can not be resolved. Even though I was using the original ROM coming from Verizon, the issue is still there.
Anyone has met the same issue when using i535 in different countries with non-Verizon SIM card!
Thanks!

just download a stock phone.apk file from a stock verizon rom or re-download the bean's custom, extract the phone.apk and replace your current apk, see if the problem persists?
What radio are you one? I had this issue on my TBOLT only way I could fix it was to reflash the radio... Tried everything... Clear data wiped cache and dalvik... Nothing solved it until I went to a different radio...
If you want to fix that fc. I recommended that you install jb leak in android development thread... Im in mexico and i use siii as gsm phone too. With jb there is not that kind of problem.
With ics i just could fix it with re install the rom.
Greatings.

Hey,
If i restore a backup that i created from stock 4.04 ICS will that return me to "stock" and prevent verizon from finding out that I ever rooted or flashed CM10?
I am thinking about returning my phone.
Thanks!

Kind of, you would need to restore the backup, use ez recovery to install stock recovery, then unroot the phone.
This is all assuming you've never installed another radio. I personally would just Odin back to stock

Yes, agree, use Odin and flash a G1 stock firmware is your best bet.

So Odin back to stock would be my best bet. I did install a new radio but reception is horrible with these JB ROMs. My ICS ROM stock ROM had great reception. I can't seem to fix it.

I mean I like jelly bean cm10 but I can't justify the reception loss for new software. If anybody had a fix for this let me know.

I actually asked about the radios because those aren't replaced when you restore your nand so Verizon (if they looked) could tell it was customized. As far as radios and reception is really what works for your phone and area. For instance, I'm on Eclipse with the new radio and it's better then ever. Others on Eclipse have reported the new radio putting them into roaming.

Does anyone have an idea why I loose data/voice when flashing 1.54 based roms? I've done a full wipe and I'm currently on 1.55 baseband. I've already tried messing with the network settings and phone info and I can't get it to work. When I try to register on Verizon network I get a message that says the SIM cannot be registered on selected network. Funny thing is if I flash any 1.55 rom, everything works perfect but as soon as I flash viper rom or Nv Rom I loose data and voice. I just made the switch from an s5 and have been wanting to try these 2 roms with no luck. I am currently on skyfall Rom.

You may want to flash stock recovery on one of these roms and do a factory reset from hboot. Then see if your phone behaves better. Stock recovery can fix some radio issues.
