It would be better if you sell your display on eBay and buy an old i9000 as it would be in the same the cost of the motherboard

Hi,
My battery cover and the SIM / micro SD cover, get pretty loss..
Probably because of the over use...
Any way.. I was looking for some replacement parts, but all I found was very expensive.. (about 20 box for full set..)
Can you help me find please some cheap parts?
I don't really care that they wont be original and be Chinese..
I'm looking for only battery side cover, and the bottom SIM slide cover..
I don't need the flash cover but if its part of a fine full set deal then bring it on..
Thank you,
Yarden.

Combination pack I believe
Ebay is definitely worth checking - here in the UK, i got a replacement battery cover for just under a fiver.
Depending on the age of your device, you could also try sending a polite email to HTC support. A while back, I sent them message about my SIM/SD cover being loose, and they sent me a replacement at no cost to me. Took about a fortnight.
Official pricing for these parts (I've seen upwards of £15) can be quite extortionate...

Really?? You talked to HTC and they sent you replacement?
How'd you do that?
And yes I am pretty sure my device is still with the warranty..
Can you please explain how'd you do that and what I need for?
and also, thanks every one, but I think I found something for about 4.5 USD..

Thinking back, I remember submitting a polite request via their support webpage, stating that my SD/SIM cover wouldn't stay in place, and asked about obtaining a replacement. I didn't actually demand anything, and they just sent out a spare.

My desire hd back body is bend as it fell down. where can i buy back body and flash lid as they are damaged I came across full back body housing costs 28 us dollars and its chinese I think so. In some online websites they have stated as original and few as OEM, which one should I buy.
Here one local repair centre person said if we buy chinese they might not fit correctly/exactly here and there might buldge or wouldnt fit part in appropriate position, since its too costly can any one help me by suggesting to get correct one! thanks. am from India.
If it says OEM the quality will be good as the original.
I just bought SIM and battery doors OEM in few bucks and the quality is great
I bought replacement battery and sim cover cheap from Amazon

Well I was browsing around and found a website that sells parts for Motorola devices and they do have a digitizer for the original Xoom for around $80. I am new so I can't post the link but the website is called "repairsuniverse".
They are out of stock everywhere. Been trying for months now :banghead:
yup.. same here.. been looking for digitizer replacement... couldn't find any now... they're all out of stock.. im looking for digitizer for mz604 model
You can order them in China. Unfortunately minimum 500 units at 32$

too much digitizer for me... as im looking for one only.. @petrossa did you already change your digitizer?
I bought a Xoom with a broken mobo. So yes. Now I have a spare battery pack as well
where did you buy it... as im tired of search and yet still couldn't find any...
Just stumbled on someone with a water damaged xoom. Just good luck. There is no 'place' to look. But do the math, a digitizer replacement is more then 100$,you can buy a new xoom for 200 to 300 now. Look on ebay I've seen max bids of 180 for as new 2nd hand

Well since it looks like this will be the last decent QWERTY phone for a while I am getting ready to do some repairs on mine. My battery is horrible. I want to replace it. I can't find one to replace it online anywhere. Can someone point me to a website or similar replacement battery that will work? I also need to replace the vibration motor and cannot find it anywhere either. IF there is a website that has all the parts listed that would be of great help.
Thanks!
There about 20 bucks plus shipping on amazon cones with small screwdriver too

This was already answered no so long ago. You can replace the battery, but it's very likely that you will damage the NFC sticker in the process: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46575402&postcount=3

Batteries are no problem: http://www.etradesupply.com/motorola/android-models/motorola-photon-q-4g-lte-xt897.html?limit=all, http://www.sinomobileparts.com/for-...lte-xt897-battery-eb41-replacement_p6167.html but overall there is surprisingly little number of Photon Q spare parts.

Does anyone have any other spare parts suppliers for this phone??
I have spare parts since one of mine has a screen driver fault, but I live in Germany so it wouldn't be economic I guess.

I had the phone just for few days. 2 days ago the my cat set the phone flying from my table to the concrete floor. The touch screen did not make it :crying:
I could probably do the change by my self but I can't find a place where I could get the LCD + touch screen.
Any suggestions ?

This early on you'd have to contact Google or LG and explain that you need the LCD+Digitizer replacing.

Think its a bit too early to find them online allready. You might contact a service center, maybe they also sell the parts you need.
You are going to need a whole new front as the ifixit teardown said that the screen is fused to the chassis.

ALSO. It's gonna be an expensive part....
For my business with new iPhone parts they're always crazy expensive. Even s3 screens are ridiculous because most android parts aren't as mass produced as iPhone parts.
Distributed veretch
I have found a site but the assembly includes not only the screen + touch + the front panel but also the parts I don't need: battery, front-facing camera, earpiece speaker, headphone jack, and other minor parts. The cost is $217.90

As suggested above sell it for parts and throw in the cat for free to sweeten the deal...

I think your safest bet is contacting Google, perhaps they could help out and replace a new phone for let's say half the price or something? I mean it's worth the try, that's what I would do, maybe not get them to give a brand new one but have them repair for a cheaper fee tell them how fragile the screen is and that you had some other phones fall down on their screens and they would not break down so you expect the same high quality from them, worth a shot?
another member in another thread said he called his credit card company and there was automatic insurance on the phone for the first 30-60 days or something like that. End of story is they are covering a cracked screen on his Nex5

Hello,
My phone dropped into the water,i followed some tips given in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/goog...hread-t2638138
i didn't open the phone and gave it to the LG service center, they dried up the phone and gave back to me.
now its working but there are some problems
1) wifi network is detected but when i try to connect to wifi network it hangs and restart every time.
2) no mobile network is detected.
3) display is little bit dull
4) heats up quickly
5) it showing headphone is connected always, speakers works sometimes
but it is charging and i can connect it to the computer. rest all are works fine
i again gave it back to service center they told me that we have to replace the motherboard and display.
which will cost me 18500INR (11500 INR for board & 7000 INR for lcd) almost 307.914 US Dollar.
is it actually a motherboard problem? LCD Screen Digitizer Touch is works fine now
can anyone tell the cost of board and display in india and us?
is it worth replacing?
please help me
thank you

Well, still more than 85% of original cost but they will put OEM parts. I just hope the headphone jack is ok.
but 307 better than 400. go ahead

The cost of the phone in India is $485 (Rs.29000) for the 16 gig model and $550 (Rs.33000) for the 32gig model
So the $300 bill which they are charging is correct...

Since you say that the LCD is working fine... Why is LG saying that it needs to be replaced as well??
With all these altercations, selling the phone as a "whole" is out of question (legally).. You could try to sell the parts individually but it's going to be difficult and surely a long wait
So I would surely recommend you to buy a new one m8... Sorry for your loss..

thanks @vin4yak for the price clarification.
In this case, I would send it to repair and sell it for a fair price later on (if possible to get more than 307) Then buy a waterproof phone to avoid this incident. if you think it's not possible to sell for more than what they charge to repair, just keep it for you or
Don't spend any more money and time with it.
