Since adfree is no longer on play store I have to download it from elseware, that seems a bit risky.
Is this ok to use? What version is that one?
http://adfree.bigtincan.com/
Another version is this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190310
right installed from bigtincan.com seems a newer version, however it doesn't block all ads. Still get them in navfree, accuweather
Better but I'm still getting ads in accuweather and a "?" bar in navfree where ad is.
bah bloody ads

I just saw a youtube clip about someone who installed this on his droid;
Anybody tried it on the N1?
Where did you get it from?
Should be an update to your Maps app available in the Market, it didn't install for me, said package wasn't signed correctly, I was using a rom with known issues with Google Services though so I'm reflashing right now to try again. You can go to buzz.google.com in your browser to use their web app. Has a pretty clean interface.
installed and works fine on a non rooted nexus.
Got it workin on mine now too, pretty sweet.
I just installed it on my rooted nexus one here in canada and found several other people testing it out. Seems to work fine just not sure how often I will bother to load it up.
Installed on Cyanogen Beta 4 with my theme, and works perfect. Installed from market
Downloading... Installing.... WORKS.
Buzz works great through Maps, but has anyone got it working properly from the Browser via buzz.google.com? When I try to post a buzz through maps, it goes right through. But through browser, I just get the little grey "processing" spiral.
This Maps 4.0 have Navigation out of USA? Thanks
Weird... I can't find google maps on the market at all - no update or anything...
Do they roll it out gradually to people?
Or maybe it's because I installed the 2.1-patch1 myself? (didn't wait for the official notification)
My phone is stock non rooted and not unlocked.
testing.... no
Got the update last night in the android market, this is pretty cool.
Google maps is not in the market of free applications. Although free, you need to have access to the paid apps market.
How I can put Maps 4 in rooted Nexus?

should be in the market. look for google maps and see which version you have installed. should be 4.0 .. if so do menu layers and buzz .. and thats it... start buzzing if you wish.
I've just restored apps after a wipe and my Google Maps is showing as 3.4. I go to market and it's not offering me an update. What can I do?
I did the Market fix and was able to get access to a somewhat working Market.
I signed on with my main account where my Nexus One's apps are also tied to but when I went to 'My Apps' in the new Market screen, there were only two listed... No Signal Alert Pro and Battery Indicator Pro.
They're both paid apps, and I can't find any of the others through searching for them either.
LauncherPro is missing, as is the other 112 apps that I should be able to find. Angry Birds is missing too, even though I never downloaded it in the first place.
Is there any way to get around this?
EDIT:
I'm also unable to download AppBrain through the browser or through my computer. I might be able to get some more of the ones I want back if I could.
Reapply the market fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845175 and follow it step by step dont skip anything. You should get most of your apps back.
I still use beta 3 and fix market already,
I had to do this as well , but this morning the market back to having nothing .

It worked!
Well, sort of. I got all my paid apps back, that's really good! But, all the rest of them, my free downloads, are gone still (I was looking in 'My Apps').
I just searched for LauncherPro and that's there.
So, there are some free apps in the Market (though, I downloaded this one to my Nexus One, and since they're on the same account, shouldn't it show up there too)?
YouTube also doesn't show up in 'My Apps' either, and it is obviously on both my phone and my GTablet.
You have to remember your Nexus One is Market approved the G Tablet is not Market approved as of yet.

Yeah, and that's a bummer...
Anyway, during the last few hours, I was able to get Appbrain onto my GTablet using the Market (searching for it actually made it come up).
Then, using their website, I added all the non-GPS-or-Phone-type apps to my new 'GTablet' list and they downloaded and successfully installed (this was after doing a single reboot)-- they all also showed on the Market too.
I got LauncherPro back (too bad, I might have to pay again to get the Pro features back) and most of the other cool apps I had before (minus the phone-related-or-GPS-location apps).
Except for:
TV.com (as someone else mentioned; too bad I loved watching this on my Nexus One)
TubeMate (the regular site works well enough through Skyfire )
Nexus Revamped Live Wallpaper (I'll find something cooler, like in that thread around here)
and that's it. Everything mostly works (had to remove a few that just gave black screens, only 3 of them) and you can see my app list right here:

If you live outside North America, you might not even know, that SoundHound contains LiveLyrics feature, which shows you synchronized scrolling lyrics as the recognized song plays. However, this feature is not available outside USA and Canada. Therefore I decided to do something about that, and this is the result. Now you can also enjoy LiveLyrics in Europe, Asia, or anywhere else. Just run Lyrics Enabler instead of the SoundHound app.
You should know a few things about this app:
-You need to have SoundHound installed (either Free or Paid version, doesn't matter) in order to make it work. No, I won't make it for Shazam.
-Make sure that you do not run SoundHound before Lyrics Enabler. If you do, close SoundHound first, or it won't work.
-The lyrics will only show up if they are available in SoundHound, so test it on some well-known older hits first.
-You can immediately start the recognition by holding down Search button for a while. Launcher shortcut is also available.
-The app is not guaranteed to work with future updates of SoundHound. I will do my best to keep it working, but if I cannot make it, there will be no refunds after they block it. If you want to be 100% sure that you won't lose your money, dont't buy it .

With what version of SoundHound doest it work?
The most recent?????
sony xperia ray ics 4.0.4
stock rom unrooted
How good it is like really good or what?
Sent from my LG-E739 using Xparent Purple Tapatalk 2
Tried with;
v2.7.5 (not working)
v5.0.2 (not working)
v5.1.7 (not working)
and I cant request refund
I beleive that they changed something on the server, so for some people it won't work even with the old versions of SoundHound. I will work on some better solution. If you have purchased AFTER the change and never seen the LiveLyrics, just send me an e-mail and I will refund you manually.
I live in Amsterdam. My Samsung Galaxy S3 (Jelly bean 4.1.1) doesn't show LiveLyrics and a in a sony ericsson x10 mini (Gingerbread 2.3.7) works like a charm, both showing same location inside Soundhound (v5.2.1a)
How can it be possilbe?
No free version?
working nice for me and I am from India.

For some people it does, but for some it doesn't . I have too much work lately, and LyricsEnabler is on the very bottom of my to-do list, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to work on it anytime soon. Just try the current version, and if you can't get it working, send me an e-mail and I will refund your purchase.
Title says it all really.
I bought Runtastic PRO a couple of years ago as the ads in the free version were infuriating. For the most part Runtastic Pro was (and still is) a great app.
If you look at an archived version of their Play Store listing from 2014, it says at the bottom of the feature list, "AD FREE". This 'feature' is nowhere to be found on the latest Play Store copy.
Last week though, I opened the app and it displayed an advert for Audiable. And at the weekend, I got a notification offering 20% off Adidas kit as well as a further in-app ad yesterday. It's not even subtle, it's blatant as ****.
Am I correct in thinking that the notification ads are disallowed anyway? Furthermore, I paid to not have ads and now I have ads. Are there any sort of repercussions for Runtastic pulling this kind of ****? It's crap because I can't switch running apps without losing all of my data.

TL;DR £5 ad free app now has ads
found an alternative ? Those ads in the pro version are really annoying.
I know a lot of people don't like Google chrome. But I use it across all my devices. But the pre-installed version on the T-Mobile OnePlus 8 has been hijacked by T-Mobile. I even installed chrome beta from the play store. When I open it it is hijacked by T-Mobile as well. Does anyone know what's going on and how to get around it?
It appears to be a locked bookmark. But I don't know how it gets installed on chrome beta when I download it from the play store. It doesn't seem to be able to be removed. This really sucks. I don't want to see T-Mobile ads and other bull**** every time I go online
