Hi guys

i came from HTC desire
and though i was doing the right steps until i got struck
what i did was
i installed Su in my official rom and installed Recovery (TWRP)
then i went into recovery and wiped everything (i forgot about Security)
now i am unable to install any rom due to S-On

If you are s-on, you need 4EXT recovery. Enable smartflash (under tools menu). Wipe dalvik+cache and reboot.
Look here for 4EXT recovery and download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20015407

But which rom to use ?

There are so many awesome ROMs in the development section of this forum. It depends on your preferences. I use albino's ROM because it is fat, smooth, and fluid.
Here's albino man's ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37121632
It's CyanogenMod 10.1 based on android 4.2.2

Thankx again
one last question
Due to Phone been S-on and original rom been completely wiped off
other roms keep bootlooping
can albino man's ROM be installed even with s-on ?

Yes, as long as you enable smartflash on 4EXT recovery, any ROM can be flashed.
In other words, to make your phone stop boot looping, just enable smartflash in 4EXT recovery.

Ok
good news my phone is detected in sensation XE all in one tools
Bad news every time i flash 4EXT from it the phone doesn't boot to recovery

You can't boot to recovery? Try booting to bootloader mode and then going to recovery.
Sent from my HTC Sensation

no no
i mean i can reboot to recovery but even after enabling 4ext smartflash i can boot the system
the htc logo goes on and on and on

Make sure you wipe dalvik+cache. If you are changing ROMs, then you need to format all partitions.
Also, make sure you have firmware 3.32/3.33 when you flash ICS/jb ROMs.

Help with custom rom Sense

Hello everybody,
I have a little problem/bug with my HTC. I have flashed the rom Saga3D v3.0 that includes Sense 3.0.
My phone wasn't working anymore after trying to flash two times Runnydroid and CyanogenMod, it was blocking on HTC bootscreen (and that for more than 20min)
As a temporary solution i found Saga3D and my phone is working again but the rom normally includes Sense 3.0. In the software informations of my HTC there is written Sense 3.0 but in case I have the interface of Sense 3.5 !
I had the new update before flashing (and new HBOOT idd) and I dont know why I get this problem. I did a full wipe (Wipe data/cache with Revolutionary CWM) and I dont understand why I get again Sense 3.5
Sorry for my bad English
Thanks in advance
download the 4ext recovery control app from market and flash that recovery over cwm! Then reboot into recovery, format ALL partitions then flash a sense 3 rom again eg - Shadow Hawk V2.1 [see mmy sig]
Hope this helps!
Tried to follow your instructions, flashed Recovery.img of 4ext but now it is blocking on HTC boot screen.. Reflashed recovery of Revolutionary CMW and it is working again.. wtf
Is it not linked of my hboot that is in 2.00.0002 ? Is it not more raisonable to wait s-off with new update off revolutionary ?
Every time my phone is blocking on HTC boot screen I must pull out the battery and I'm scared that my phone is bricking (already did 5-6 times because cmd isn't finding phone on boot screen..)
4ext but now it is blocking on HTC boot screen?
u didn't came into the recovery?

I flashed the recovery img of 4ext but when i tried to go into the recovery(with the app or with volume down+power) with 4ext my phone was blocking on HTC boot screen.
I pulled out the battery, boot in normal mode and flashed again the recovery img of Revolutionary CMW. Recovery is working with this CMW.

Yes my HBOOT is s-on 2.00.0002 but unlocked with HTCdev. (People said me that flashing a custom rom was possible with s-on, if bootloader was unlocked)
If you have unlocked using HTCDEV see this thread for a resolution:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19071114#post19071114
It is possible to flash S-ON but you need to manually flash the boot image for the custom rom that you intend to use after ROm flash.

I'm a noob and I assume it

[Q]Already install CWM using S-off guide. Can i still install 4EXT Touch recovery?

This is the guide I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
Apparently I need 4EXT to install ARHD. So since I followed steps 1-4 and have S-off, CWM, root and Super-CID, will it be ok to install 4EXT touch even though I already have CWM installed?
Yep, get the 4EXT app and it will install the Recovery
Yes, it will overwrite the CWM.

Thanks for all the answers I think I will most likely stick with the stock rom tho just because I like the Gingerbread look better than the ICS look. And If I do want to upgrade to ICS It will still be available to me.
You can go ARHD gingerbread. And it will definitely run super fast than the stock.

Hmm Well is their a high chance of a brick or my phone being stuck at reboot? That is my problem with custom roms. I had a Motorola Defy and 2 out of 7 times the rom I installed actually worked. This is a brand new phone and I really dont wanna have to ask T-mobile for a replacement in the first month of use :x
Check out this thread if you need further help flashing 4ext touch recovery (use 4ext recovery touch flashing tool posted). Also there are the guidelines to update to an ICS ROM
[GUIDE][MAR.12.12] How to flash ICS 3.32 firmware and ARHD 6.5.x ICS ROM

Stuck in reboot? Is it like the phone is keep on restarting? Like a loop?
If that's the case, then the rom is not compatible with the firmware or vice versa. There is a specific firmware version that you can use for specific roms, its usually indicated on the OP of the rom what thinga that you should use.
As long as you read and understand everything before you do the process then the phone will run fine.

I've tried the following and it worked as well:
- stock HTC GB rooted (Revolutionary S-OFF) with latest CWM installed
- flashed the 3.32 firmware
- executed superwipe script within CWM
- then flashed ARHD 6.5.x with CWM (u don't get the options to chose kernel for example, only works in 4Ext Recovery)
- as ARHD 6.5.x comes with 4EXT Touch Recovery I rebooted to recovery after ROM was flashed -> 4EXT Recovery is loading
- I flashed ARHD again from 4EXT (this time the options during install show up)
conclusion: if u accidently flashed ARHD with CWM it shouldn't be a problem. it works, but u don't get to choose some options during install (like choosing kernel). but as ARHD comes with 4EXT (at least the latest ARHD versions) u should have 4EXT Recovery installed then and u can simply reflash the ROM to be able to choose between the different options during install.
but of course the recommended way is to install 4EXT recovery before flashing.
So last question, can I follow the guide for S-off, Root and CWM and super CID and First S-off and then install 4EXT Touch by flashign tool and then root and supercid? And then flash the 3.32 firmware for ARHD 6.5.1 and then install ARHD with 4EXT? Will this work?

[SOLVED] [Q] Yellow Mode Brick?

Hello all, my friend is having problems with his HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio.
The problem arose when he decided he wanted to try JellyBam. Previously he was on CM10 running JB 4.1.1, however due to a bad download and installing JellyBam, it seems he's semi-bricked his device. He's able to get to recovery, flash, etc, however he can't get past the HTC bootscreen via normal bootup. His device is pretty much a paperweight at the moment.
In order to help him, I've tried flashing the latest version of Venom, however although the rom install was a success, his phone won't budge past the HTC bootscreen.
I've searched the forum for answers, and it seems there's a possibility that Dexter's Unbrick tool could work, but it says on the thread that XE isn't supported although there is a XE archive? I've tried wiping userdata, dalvik cache and cache.
He's rooted with S-ON (because S-OFF was difficult to do). HBoot ver 1.29. 4-Ext Recovery ver 1.0.0.5
Any help much appreciated.

[Q] HTC Sensation stuck at HTC screen

Hi,
I've tried to flash a new rom to my HTC Sensation and have got it spectacularly wrong. I used Hasoon2000's All-In-One tool to unlock my bootloader and root. I then did a wipe clean and installed Inspiration.
The phone had a Vodafone boot screen if that helps - I believe it is the z710e. The install of the rom seemed to go okay but I've rebooted and it's not getting stuch on the HTC quietly brilliant screen.
Any help would be amazing!
Thanks.
EDIT: My HBOOT is 1.27, I'm not sure if I need higher? My firmware I believe is 3.32- when I try to put higher on by putting PG59IMG.zip on my root, my phone parses it but doesn't do anything afterwards. Could this be my problem?

you are still on S-ON so you can't upgrade firmware in that way
do you have 4ext recovery installed?
if not then use 4ext to install the rom
and before installing the rom
format all partitions except sdcard from 4ext
enable smartflash from it
flash the rom
done

Couldn't get 4ext to work but found one that does eventually. Downloaded Android Revolution as I know this works with my phone and now can boot! Having trouble getting a signal now though. Any more suggestions?
Thanks for the reply, really helped me out!

[Q] Am I stuck in a bootloop?

Hello guys
I really hope someone here can help me because I think I brick my phone
Some information about my phone:
UNLOCKED
Pyramid PvT Ship S-OFF RL
HBOOT - 1.18.0000
RADIO - 10.14.9035.02_2
eMMc -Boot
I bought a new HTC Sensation xe with beats audio and decided to root it. I followed one of the guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 on xda forum and everything worked fine EXCEPT my camera wasn't working. After reading forums after forums, I learned that the only way to make my camera work is to flash a different rom. Then I read and watch tutorials after tutorials to learn how to flash a custom rom and here is what I did:
1. I went into clockwork mode (recovery)
2. I wiped system
3. Wiped cache
4. Wipe data factory/reset
5. Wipe dalvik cache
6. After that I installed zip from Sd ( the custom rom).
7. I rebooted
Now here is the real problem. Everything went smooth, and before installation I was told that the first reboot can take a while. But its been over 50 minutes and my phone is still on the HTC logo screen. I know it takes long, but come not that long. Am I stuck in a bootloop? It doesn't reboot itself, its just stuck on the HTC logo screen. PLEASE I beg you guys help me xda is my only chance to fix this phone.

Actually he is on S-OFF so it is unecessary to enable smartflash
Secondly flashing boot.img won't help either
OP the only thing you have to do is to upgrade your firmware
Flash 3.33 universal from the firmware thread in development section
Folow the instructions to the letter
and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
After that your Rom wil boot
