AOSP 4.0.4 battery percentage? Looked EVERYWHERE - T-Mobile LG G2x

I recently flashed back to Eaglesblood AOSP 4.0.4 just because I felt like having something new and missed the slight hwa and ICS look and feel. However, not having a battery percentage option built into the ROM is driving me crazy. I've been looking for a mod/zip/addon/etc that will give me a battery percentage instead of a plain old batter icon meter. Does anyone here know of anything that could do this for me? I did find an AOSP modding app that modified battery icons from the playstore, but none of the custom icons include a percentage =(

Maybe rom toolbox? I haven't looked in awhile but I thought there were quite a few percentage options in their theme changer section.
Edit: yes. Lots. Status bar icons section. I think some of them don't do 1% though. The stock looking ones do though.

I like you a lot. Thanks lol!

If you use battery info app it will show percentage but on the wrong side

The % part is built into CM6, there are a few battery morphs to get the circle images. Ex: k-spec
thanks again britoso!

Works great (running mcr r21)
Yes there is, look in morph thread. Last page.

very interest in this but i am in TheOfficial Nexus1 ROM, anyone know is it work on this?
The new Desire Froyo battery is sweet.
does that new battery circle increment each little chunk? if so they must have increased the number of battery icons past the usual 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100. i wonder how we could make that work on stock android...

The battery percentage in CM6 does not line up in the center with the kspec battery icon.
I would like to get my hands on that desire froyo battery icon shown above.
Guys you can get the circle battery icon from any theme out there, then copy those icons into a working froyo theme and meta morph it. That's what I did.
can anyone make an update zip for the default white status bar ??
i really like the "Super Circle Battery"
I haven't updated it to the newest version but my theme has a circle batt I created from scratch, some users are having problems flashing my theme plus its outdated I have a current version but I haven't uploaded it yet... you can still rip the icons out of my framework-res in the theme though check it out here

[question] CM6.1 battery/signal bars

Are there any mods to the battery/signal bar icons in the notification bar that work on the new CM6.1 ? Don't really need a full theme, I like the stock vanilla lockscreen when it is unthemed mainly... just want to get rid of those 2 god awful icons.

I used the UOT Kitchen to replace the battery icon. Lots of choices. Still working on the Signal Strength Meter. I'd like to use something from Riptide. I will be tinkering a bit today. I will let you know if I come up with anything.

Please do, I don't need anything fancy... the battery looks like someone drew it with a crayon >< Would just like something a little more crisp.
Either way, thanks for the reply

What is the obsession with battery %?

I suppose its a different strokes for different folks sort of this but I just don't get it.
Why do people feel the need to know the exact amount of battery they have left? Can they just not look at their battery and see...
Green: Means your good.
Yellow: Means you need to find power soon.
Red: Means don't use your phone.
Why clutter up the notification bar any more? And don't get me started on all the "real" looking icons people try to put up there. [who needs a usb stick in their status bar. really. Its ugly.][IMO][I know some people like it. I just don't.]
For instance...the smooth sense mod. That is really a nice piece of work. The standard sense battery, the circle one, and many other mods. But no one ever made the standard sense battery without the %.
Once again I just don't get it. And some devs kill roms by adding the % as standard instead of an optional add-on. I personally have looked over many roms because of this single topic.
Any way. Discuss....
many people including me like to see the exact percent of battery we are at. Its a personal preference I guess

you are dreaming if you think that number is any where near accurate.
if it was then i might agree with having a percent indicator.
there is a reason these are not stock.
the battery percentages seem accurate. can you please explain how they aren't?
They are just that....obsessions. We all have our OCD's
One week I want the % to see. The next I don't bother. Then back to needing it
Yea I'd like to know how its not accurate. My battery is charged at 100% and dies at 0% hows that inaccurate?

Because our phones die before 2% to stop you from destroying your battery and they only charge to 90% for the same reason
Unless u have a modified kernel

Speaking on behalf of the tech crowd, it just makes us feel more in-the-know.
If you're jumping in 25% increments it would indicate that 85% & 65% are both the same ... 75%. I just feel more comfortable seeing the actual number present, even if the % isn't 100% accurate.
Even though this really should be posted in general or q&a... Metamorph is your friend...if you don't like a battery get a morph and apply it. If you want one from a certain rom/theme with or without % pull the framework-res crack that sucker open and go to res/drawable-hdpi/drawable-hdpi-v4 and pull the images and make your own morph or mod your framework-res apk. Its really just comes down to preferences. And this topic should be in general or q&a not themes/apps as its not really relevant to theme development imo .

No obsession. I just like it.
This is a very good question. It just comes down to personal preference, I hated it so much, I learned how to decompile an .apk basically just to learn to un-hack this MOD. No idea why I dislike it so much, I think it's because I'm a stock kinda guy.
haha I did the same thing on Skyraider, love the rom hate the battery %

So what does bump charging do? I thought it made it go over the 90% threshold that you speak of.
Oh, and I love the % showing.

according to this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=871051 our batteries actually do charge to 100%, but then stop and that is why the battery goes down so much after you unplug it.

Section Nazi. j/k A mod can feel free to move this to any section they see fit.
In some cases I have done this. But in others, such as the smooth sense mod, I tried and could never get it to work. I went into the thread and asked for a %less version and not one person attempted to help. Other users requested it as well. [NOTE: I stopped going to the thread due to poor battery life on sense roms. It may have been addressed sense then.]
I just don't understand why devs wont make it an option to have either. By only offering one or the other you cut your possible user base.

I agree fully. I wont use a rom that has a battery % with no option to remove it. I love everything else about the smooth sense mod except that.

Sense 2.0/Gingerbread Notification Bar?

Anyone have the ability to make a notification bar for Lou's rEVO rom, that has the same colors as his stock, animates smooth icons, but the look/images of the new sense bar (vertical battery/3g icon, etc)?
If so, thanks
I would try, but have NO experience as all

I'm confused, u want GB icons, on the stock noti bar?
I was looking for a bar like THIS one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901822
But in the gray colors that come stock with redemptive rEVOlution. Also, Im not sure if its possible to incorporate the animated sync, DL/UL, Install icons, etc.?
Thats what I meant, sorry for the confusion
I think it would be feasible for one of the themers on the forum to do that but it seems that development on that rom is pretty dead, I haven't seen Lou on the forums in forever (although I haven't been around that long).

i havent seen him in a while either, just not sure how stable these new sense roms are yet, so I am waiting on those. If he releases an update for redemption tho, i may switch over
Yeah it would be good to see him come back and get a new GB version out. I tried the kingdom port and there were some pretty cool things but it was pretty unresponsive and the lockscreen was pretty hit and miss. Not really anything I would recommend for a daily rom yet but with time I think those issues will get ironed out.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
honestly id prefer a sense 2.1 gingerbread thats stable, because i hear 3.0 is a little overpowered for our phones, but that 2.1 is smooth
so lemme just try to get this right, if all you want is the stock gray noti bar, with the Green gingerbread icons/sync ani's and that stuff. easy as pie.
essentially yeah, but i swapped over to warm Z 2.2 and that has it all already. Thanks though

BAMF Remix Custom Accurate Battery for Cyanogenmod7

So I was over a friends house putting the Cyanogenmod7 ROM on my HTC Incredible. I saw he had a Thunderbolt running BAMF Remix 1.8 and couldn't help but notice his Battery icon on the status bar was awesome. Soo after looking through the forums on XDA and Google, i've come to see if there is anyone who either knows of a way to get that custom accurate battery on my phone running Cyanogenmod7. All tip and help appreciated. Thank you.
Looks like the standard circle battery, pretty sure you can do this with the UOT kitchen. It's also present on certain CM7 themes.
Thanks man for the timely response.. I'll check out UOT Kitchen. I also sent a message to the developer of BAMF.. So if I get a response i'll be sure to post an update incase anyone else was wondering what I am.
Actually, if you look down further in this forum, there's a thread by mattyg and userjf that has all sorts of battery mods. I checked and there's a few circle battery mods.
Yeah, I checked out the post by Mattyg & Userjf. The battery mod is similar to that of the one on UOT Kitchen.. Again thanks for the good find. I have spoke with the developer of BAMF and he's going to be working with the Cyanbread theme for Cyanogenmod7 to integrate the custom accurate battery mod from BAMF Remix 1.8 to it. I just happen to find that battery mod to be the best one I have seen imho.
Nice. I just thought it looked similar, not really sure on the functionality since I haven't tried any battery mods personally.
