In apps like the learning hub, Adobe reader, Polaris office and even when viewing files on s-note, when I turn the page, all the text becomes blurry. It's the same with pictures too. It sharpens after 3-4 seconds but this is really annoying and should not happen with a high end tablet. Is this a firmware bug? I don't think it was this bad before the update. Anyone else with this problem. What should I do?
Thanks

I use mobipocket. (www.mobipocket.com)
What rat_2665 said, Freda has got the be the best.
It's very versatile, enabling you to change the colours of the backgroud and text, font size and type. Especially great at night when you can change the background to black and the text to grey for easier reading (for me at least)
+1 for Freda, and rotate apps make it more flexible too, easier to hold and flip thru pages one handed.
As far as text color goes, I prefer to mimic the Kindle with gray background and black text. I've read for 4 hour sittings with no eye strain.
+1 to the freda suggestion!

That's 20 books on the bookshelf = recently read. I've got literally hundreds of books in my ebook folder, and Freda finds them no problem.
Freda is a superb program.
Not sure what a Epub reader is, but if your just looking to read books on the phone. The best in my opinion would be Isilo (my first post, but the web addy is just isilo dot com) Uses two programs, one on the phone, and another on the computer to convert txt or webpages and other formats so the phone can read it. The program is very neat, can adjust font, size, color, full screen, auto scroll. Hope this helps.
get freda..........version 2.0 is out !!!!!!!!!!!!
Another one for freda, superb on HD2 , make sure that you change the tap settings so that at least one takes you back to the main menu for the program, I kept having to shut it down using taskmanager, before I worked that one out lol
Hmmmm.
Don't seem to be able to read ePub files on my HD2 with Freda...
Am i doing something wrong???
When i try to open one, freda's fileread light (lower right corner) keeps flickering with activity, but even after 10 minutes it's still buzzy......
TCBR (TequilaCat Book Reader), and going ti check about freda as advised

That flickering light at the bottom right means that Freda is trying to calculate the pagination (that is to say the layout of the words on the pages). If it's still going on after ten minutes, there must be a problem with the book, or a bug in the code.
Please could you email me (1) the book file (2) Freda's log file (normally in /program files/freda/logfile.txt) and I will see if I can fix the issue. You can reach me at [email protected] .
Thanks.

Book Reader
+10 for mobiPocket
combination desktop and phone app allows you to convert any file to a book you can read and add bookmarks to-- when updating to PC it copies your book marks to continue reading-- and vice versa PC to phone does the same

Thanks a lot
Hello all
I was wondering if someone had encountered an application that would facilitate signing documents on our tablets?
Ive tried printing to PDF or JPG and using something like Picsay pro to annotate the document but its a bit round about and picsay only saves a really low resolution image.
I was hoping there was something I could use that could allow me to open a document that may be in word, PDF etc. and sign it using a stylus or finger. I dont care if it has to be converted into a flat image as I am basically just emailing back a signed image anyway.
My current use is NDAs. I get sent them and am expected, print, sign, scan and return. If I could use my TF to do that then not only could I save trees but I could do this anywhere I got cell signal.
There's an app for that: Fill and Sign PDF's
Only works with PDFs that have form fields apparently. Most of these are just going to blank documents that were scanned to PDF.
What I can do is either convert the file to a PDF or just an image and what i need is an image annotator that can handle large files. But currently everything scales it down to being useless.
Id love something that could do it in one fell swoop but I think that is asking too much. Just convert a word/pdf/etc to a flat file that can then be annotated and emailed back as an image/pdf.
I use repligo pdf for document signing. Great app.
Ive gotten close with just the office app but one issue I am having is I recorded a signature but whenever I make a transparent GIF or PNG it shows all wonky on the transformer, just solid black.
Is there a way to get transparent images to display properly?
Give this a look. if you want to be able to sign on a PDF and have a crystal clear finished document.
at least watch the video.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cerience.reader.app&feature=search_result
worth the investment for business purposes.
By far IMO the best one i have tried.
Thanks, I think I finally got there with your suggestion, its not the most elegant in all cases but it works.
For straight PDFs I can open relpligo. When they come in as Word documents I went ahead and bought Adobe's PDF creator to convert them to PDF and then sign them in repligo. This works because this means, if they are in word, I can fill out any fields in Polaris, convert to PDF, sign and then send back without ever having to touch a full featured computer.
There is a free app called SIGNificant. You open a PDF document and you can set an area for the signature. HOwever, everytime you sign, you need a WiFi connection or the document won't be saved.
OK, this is really starting to annoy me! When I go into the picture gallery, it sorts my pictures (or at least the pictures that were already on the SD card) in reverse order...is there any way to fix this?
Hi Guys,
There is a bug I have noticed when it comes to using the "File Upload" option you get on websites.
I am running a stock ICS Nexus S and if I go to upload a file and choose to pick from my gallery. Selecting some pictures will result in the page refreshing, instead of it selecting that photo to be uploaded.
Any other fields that I had entered info into on 'the form' will retain the values. (odd behaviour considering it looks like it refreshes the page)
I find it depends on the photo I am uploading. Some times its always fine. Some photos the first time it refreshes but on a second try it works. and other photos simple just keep doing the odd refresh behaviour.
Has anyone else had this issue and know the cause?
Thanks
Hey guys
i have a samsung omnia w running mango(AKA: Focus flash i667) and i have noticed that photos and pics i have synced to the phone are blurry. even if its native 800 x 480 pixels. if i place the same image as wallpaper, its sharp
any ideas?
Are you sure the photo is fully loaded (usually only happens when viewing something from cloud storage)?
yes its on the phone, it was synced via zune, the slightest pinch make it all sharp again
no one?
Yeah, this is my experience too. My explanation is that the gallery uses compressed thumbnails, and only when you zoom in does the full picture get loaded.

thats exactly what i thought, i did the reg hack to show the device as portable device in windows explorer in an attempt t see if there we thumbnails created in the sync process, found nothing , so it must be stores somewhere else? :C. i am guessing this is the fault of the sync process, i did copy the image straight into the portable device via windows explorer, by passing zune, and the image looked sharper
but when you do that, you wont see the thumbnail preview when you go into gallery
any one know of any zune hacks to create high quality thumbnails?
ok so here is my fix,
1. Convert the phone to a portable device
http://www.mobiletechworld.com/2010/11/18/use-your-windows-phone-7-device-as-a-portable-usb-drive/
2. Copy over images straight to your device, without using zune. you might get a warning saying image may not open on your device, ignore it and copy it anyway
Note: do not have the image too big, try somewhere below 1600x1200, as too big an image will case it to look weird. hope it helps, and let me know it goes guys
