Phone not charging (Micromax A110)
I have flashed Lewa, Lego ICE canvas4 and now Stock ROM for A110 also.
But facing battery charging problem.
With LegoIce canvas4 ROM battery could not charge above 30%. Used the battery calibration software with forced calibration at somewhere 25% as 100% could never reached.
Then flashed Lewa ROM but same problem.
Then tried flashing Stock ROM for A110. Now it charges only when the cell phone is switched OFF and max 50%. I flashed this ROM when battery was 80%. Now to charge the cell I have to switch OFF cell and connect to charger.
Please anyone could tell me where I am going wrong and please help me to get out of this problem and once agian I will be able to charge my cell to 100% in switched ON condition.
Thanks in advance
visit JMP rom thread there is a patch available for this issue in first page.
Sent from my Micromax A110 (Canvas 2) on ThUnderZap V2
In cwm recovery 6.0.2 you can get option of 'wipe battery stats' in advanced menu.
Now click on that option by lock button and after that charge your battery till 100%.
Hit the thanks button if this help you.
Charging Issue not solved
Hey I tried your patch. And it started charging too. But it charged around 17% then drained in within half hour and switched off.
It started chaeging in switch Off mode, then I restatred it. It chareged not more than 3% and agian drain and switched OFF.
Again I stared and after 2-3% it drains and switch off.
Later I removed battery and charged it externally. I charged to around 40% and it was showing charging but actually was not charging. It drained and switched off again.
Also I tried later wipe battery stat from advance option in recovery mode. But still not solved.
I am able to charge my battery externally that means when battery is inserted in cell, the cell don't allows to charge it.
Please help.
Thanks in advance

@Recognized Noob. Previuosly i too thought that my battery may have have gone. But whenever i charge it externally it charges.
I have charged it to 80% externally and inserted in cell switched on, and then it runned for whole day.
Only thing is its not charging with phone charger or USB cable connected to laptop in normal way.
OK I have tested the USB cable and my charger with my friends cell.
So conclusion is battery is OK.

Can't reach the hboot :/
The phone is not turning on when pressing the power button
and when I plug it in the charge, the charging LED also is not turning on
Is the notification LED blinking? Try charging the battery with a universal charger.

buddy, I'd got this problem as well once, it won't work. If the LED is not blinking, according to ganeshp, it means a DEFINITE HARD BRICK.
so, I think THE ONLY way to solve it, is to use J-Tag (Or replace the mainboard, a little screwing off).
hope it gets alright.

I highly doubt it is fully bricked... You'll need to try a few more things, and learn a few things along the way. Install the Android SDK to get to use ADB. This will require googling and searching here.
Once Installed, plug in the tab, open a command prompt and type: adb devices
This will list the device if it is discovered. I doubt it will see the tab, since device manager is going bonkers...
But if it does, that's great progress.
Also, you'll need to download Samsung Kies (just for the driver) and download Odin, again Google and search here for that. With the tab plugged in, open Odin and see if the tab is connected (yellow box).
See if you can connect to the device with these and let us know.
THE FOLLOWING MAY BE DANGEROUS but I've done it on other devices just fine. Hardware is my specialty:
1) If the charging to the battery is indeed screwed and the battery is drained , which it very well could be, then the tab will not connect to the computer in ADB or Odin.
2) You'll need to remove the back cover and remove the battery. The goal will be to charge the battery enough to flash an oem rom.
3) Rechargeable batteries will directly accept a variety of voltages (input to charge), but will get very hot if you get close to and/or go over the stock output voltage. The output of the oem battery is 3.7 volts, so I wouldn't feed it any more than 3.5 volts raw.
4) Find a charger or some stable source of 2.5 to 3.5 volts. I always keep my chargers for old devices just for fun things like this. Hopefully you have a multimeter, find the + and - of the charger wires.
5) Now the dangerous part: you'll have to figure out how to temporarily wire the charging source to the battery. I usually make a little plug out of random hardware. Whatever works for you.
6) Let it charge for an hour or two, but not overnight or anything long. Put it all back together and see if you can get some life out of it.
Try these things and good luck! Let us know your progress!
